Democrats Bow At Alter Of Abortion And Block A Vote On Justice for Victims of Human Trafficking
Today in Washington, D.C. - March 12, 2015
The House is not in session.
The Senate reconvened at 9:30 AM today. Following an hour of morning business, the Senate resumed consideration of S. 178, the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015. At 2 PM, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Christopher A. Hart to be Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Democrats are still blocking a vote on the Justice for Victims of Human Trafficking Act of 2015, authored by Sen. John Cornyn, and passed unanimously last month out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The Dallas Morning News writes today, “Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid insisted Wednesday that a bill to combat human trafficking, previously noted for its bipartisan support, will not pass unless anti-abortion language is removed. . . .
“Eleanor Gaetan, legislative adviser at the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, one of more than 200 groups that support the bill, noted that the fund will provide money for existing federally supported anti-trafficking programs. The Hyde language already applies to those programs, she said. . . . Gaetan said Senate Democrats should offer an amendment to strip the anti-abortion language out of the bill. ‘Win or lose and move on,’ she suggested. . . . ‘Senate Democrats are choosing a phantom problem over real victims,’ Gaetan said. ‘At this point, it will be derailed.’”
Sen McConnell pointed out, "Democrats now say they don’t like language that has been in the bill since it was introduced months ago, and does nothing more than reaffirm the bipartisan law of the land. And this bipartisan provision was on page four of this modest-sized bill, so Democrats obviously knew it was in there to begin with. Democrats obviously wouldn’t have cosponsored this bill, or voted for it in committee, or called for its passage on the Senate floor if they hadn’t read the bill first.”
Eleanor Gaetan of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women put the case succinctly on Twitter: “Speechless that superb U.S. anti-trafficking bill #JVTA is hostage to abortion politics. Offer an amendment & take a vote Dems, don't block!”
Democrats Senators blocking a vote on this bill are not only abusive in their actions but are making abortion an alter to bow down to. The primary issue should be whether on not the United States assist in global Justice for Victims of Human Trafficking.

YEP, this here is the real ethical party. Ya can tell 'cause it's all about caring for kids, or not, that is. Murdering kiddos in the womb, renting'em out to perverts, selling 'em into bondage, making sex slaves out of them. Heck, ain't nothing Ole Bill hasn't done or tried to do so ya know it can't be wrong! Why, were the demasses to go and approve a reduction in the legality of murdering babes and make it harder (or less rewarding) for the pervs to ruin chilluns, why they'd never be able to win another election. Everyone knows the dems ain't got no morals nor ethics. Every dem oughta have themselves a sex slave or two to help them relax after a hard day of lying to the public. It's darn hard to keep a straight face and track all them lies. A feller NEEDS a little now and again, ya know that. That's why so many of them get to stay in DC. Next thing ya know, they'll be saying right out in public that people ought to marry before they make any more babies to exploit.
