Obama Is Embarrassed? and Jarrett v. Clinton?

Senator Cotton's letter does not suggest that the Iranians can't trust the president. Once again, Obama is trying to rile up his left-wing base by telling them that the GOP is being disrespectful.
If anything, Republicans are worried that the Iranians can trust Obama to keep his end of the bargain knowing full well that the Iranians cannot be trusted to keep their end of the deal precisely because they are "our mortal enemy." Does Obama not believe Iran is our mortal enemy?
The letter was not addressed to the ayatollah nor was it a secret. It was a public letter to the "Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran," and the American people were just as much the intended audience. That is why Republicans made it public.
The only person who has sent secret letters to the ayatollah is Barack Obama. According to the Wall Street Journal, Obama has sent at least four secret letter to the ayatollah.
There is no reason for Senate Republicans to be embarrassed. If anyone should be embarrassed it is the president. As Senator Cotton explained, "The only thing unprecedented is an American president negotiating a nuclear deal with the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism without submitting it to Congress."
Jarrett v. Clinton? While the media have focused on the Republican reaction to Hillary Clinton's email server scandal, Edward Klein of the New York Post reports that Republicans may be the least of Hillary's worries. According to Klein, White House consigliere Valerie Jarrett may be responsible for making this scandal public.
Not only did Jarrett leak information about Hillary's private emails, Klein adds, "at Jarrett's behest, the State Department was ordered to launch a series of investigations into Hillary's conduct at Foggy Bottom. . ." Six investigations covering Clinton's expense account and "possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation" are said to be underway.
Bill Clinton is reportedly furious, saying, "The Obamas are out to get us any way they can."
What might be behind all this palace intrigue at the White House? If you think back to the 2014 elections, Barack Obama was unhelpful to Democrats on the campaign trail. Republicans swept the key Senate races. Illinois, Maryland and Massachusetts elected Republican governors last November. Many Democrat candidates didn't want to be seen with Barack -- they wanted Bill standing next to them.
Klein writes that Jarrett was angry Democrats were abandoning the president, and jealous of the Clintons' efforts to reclaim leadership of the party in advance of Hillary's presidential campaign. There's more.
The president and Jarrett don't believe Hillary is "a true-blue liberal." She's not left-wing enough, and they would rather see someone like former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley or Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren continue Obama's "fundamental transformation" of America.
