End of Day Report: Indictments Coming, Server Compromised, Policy Matters Too, Trump's Pro-Israel Platform
Gary Bauer: End of Day Report |
Fox News reported last night that the FBI is in fact investigating whether the State Department was compromised by Bill and Hillary Clinton's efforts to line their own pockets. This investigation has been going on for over a year and has become "a very high priority," but the Department of Justice has fought the FBI every step of the way.
Your liberal friends should know that it's not just Fox News. CNN and the Wall Street Journal confirm the report.
A terrible divide has erupted between the FBI and Obama's ruthlessly politicized Justice Department. This largely explains the leaks that have been coming out in recent weeks. FBI sources say that indictments are likely in the Clinton Foundation investigation, but it is unclear exactly who the targets may be.
Adding to the intrigue are reports suggesting that computers belonging to top Clinton aides Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson have not been destroyed yet. You will recall that members of Congress were stunned to learn that the Justice Department had agreed to destroy these devices as part of immunity deals even though the information they contained was under subpoena.
And there's more.
Server Compromised? FBI sources say that Hillary's server was so vulnerable that as many as five foreign intelligence services may have stolen the highly classified information she had on it.
Reacting to this bombshell, Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said, "She exposed [information] to our enemies. Our adversaries have this very sensitive information. . . In my opinion, quite frankly, it's treason."
If Hillary Clinton is elected, you are likely to see not indictments of corrupt bureaucrats, but a massacre at the FBI. Agents who continued to press for investigations of the Clinton Foundation will be dealt with harshly. And those with glaring conflicts of interest, which we have outlined in recent days, will be promoted.
If there is a witch hunt against the agents who were doing their jobs, some may go public. The constitutional crisis Donald Trump warned about is beginning to look more likely if Hillary Clinton wins.
On the other hand, if Trump wins, the first swamp to be drained will be the Department of Justice.
This is why we have been warning you that in the next five days you will see some desperate smear of Trump. People close to Bill and Hillary Clinton have to be worried that some of them may be headed to the big house rather than the White House if she loses. Desperate people are capable of doing desperate things.
It Begins - As we predicted, scurrilous and baseless charges are now being made against Donald Trump. I refuse to go into the details because I don't want to spread rumors. But the media outlets that are reporting these charges now have been cheerleaders for Hillary Clinton.
I am urging people of faith to remember the biblical injunction to be wise.
Anything you hear in the next few days that is especially shocking, even if it purports to come from a group that sounds like a legitimate Christian organization, should be treated with tremendous caution. (That is the oldest trick in the book.) Stick with sources you know and trust.
If any of this slime that is being spread had any basis in truth, it would have been front page news months ago when Trump won the nomination. The left could have saved itself over a billion dollars.
Steel yourselves. As I wrote above, some people in the Clinton operation are increasingly desperate and capable of doing and saying anything in next 100 hours.
Kudos To Grassley - In yesterday's report, I blasted the outrageous conflicts of interest that have been exposed by Wikileaks involving John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, and Peter Kadzik, a top official at the Justice Department. Senator Charles Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is furious too.
He is demanding that the Justice Department inspector general launch an investigation of Kadzik and other blatant examples of corruption.
Policy Matters Too - We must not lose sight of the fact that we are voting for an entire government -- for thousands of political appointees, hundreds of federal judges, including two or three Supreme Court nominees, and hundreds of members to various boards and commissions.
We are voting for the policies each candidate is promising to implement. With that in mind, I want to share two headlines that caught my attention today:
"Under Hillary Clinton Presidency, U.S. Muslim Population Would Exceed France's by 2024"
2024 isn't that far away. Do you we really want to risk a future headline like, "War On The Streets Of Washington"?
Donald Trump is vowing to end reckless immigration and refugee policies that put Americans at risk. Hillary Clinton, the status quo candidate, is vowing more of the same. In fact, she is vowing to bring in many more Muslim refugees than Obama admitted.
By the way, Pope Francis is acknowledging that secure borders and assimilation matter.
When a migrant or refugee is not assimilated, Francis warned, "He is ghettoized, that is, he enters a ghetto. And a culture that does not develop in relation with another culture, that is dangerous."
When asked about European nations that are closing their borders, the pope responded, "[T]hose who govern must also exercise prudence. . . And if a country is only able to integrate 20, let's say, then it should only accept that many."
It is beyond time that we applied more common sense and prudence to our immigration and refugee policies.
Trump's Pro-Israel Platform - Yesterday David Friedman and Jason Dov Greenblatt, Donald Trump's top advisers on Middle East policy, released a 16-point plan outlining the candidate's strong pro-Israel platform. Some highlights of Trump's platform include:
- A reaffirmation of the "unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel."
- Rejection of a two-state solution until Palestinians renounce terrorism and recognize Israel's right to exist.
- Recognition of Jerusalem as "the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state" and a pledge to "move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem."
- And a vow to counteract Iranian aggression.
