With Trump Comes Just What We Need . . . Positive Uncertainty
by Herman Cain: Much better than a negative status quo.
A friend and financial consultant named Wes Moss recently described the upcoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump as "positive uncertainty".
Brilliant!
Those of us who supported Donald Trump for president are optimistic about the changes he will bring to this nation. Those who are still in denial about his election are passionately expecting the worst.
As Wes suggests with his description, there is a lot of uncertainty, but it's positive. Just consider the unconventional cabinet nominees Trump has chosen. The liberals' heads are exploding, whereas conservative Trump supporters are cheering!
I'm cheering because they each have a record of accomplishment instead of a political resume. And they would not have accomplished so much in their careers without understanding the true meaning of leadership and problem-solving. Trump is surrounding himself with former generals in the military, corporate CEOs, billionaires, and people considered experts in their field.
That's exciting! But liberals and Democrats hate it because it does not suggest the status quo they wanted from Hillary Clinton.
I'm also cheering because of Trump’s outspokenness regarding our enemies like Iran, and our friends like Israel. It's a refreshing tone after eight years of bending over backwards trying not to offend our enemies, while making our friends feel uncertain about our relationship.
Negative uncertainty for the last eight years of an Obama Administration has produced lackluster economic growth, dwindling military morale, less respect in the world, stalled energy independence, enemies among us and a media narrative to match the administration's narrative that this is as good as it gets. Well, the American voters have rejected mediocrity and negativity.
We know that positive uncertainty may produce some surprises and some missteps, and that it may take longer for some of our positive expectations to materialize. But we expect more empowering changes than stifling changes.
A positive tone from the top produces positive expectations, even with some positive uncertainty.
Bring it on!
