Terror In London, Another Victim Of The Left, Common Sense vs. Left-wing Dreams, Surveillance Update

The attack mirrors tactics Palestinian terrorists have repeatedly used in Israel. It began when a car started mowing down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. The jihadist crashed his car, jumped out and attacked a policeman with a large knife. He was shot on the grounds of Parliament and later died.
Western Civilization is under siege. We must find the courage to confront and defeat this evil.
Another Victim Of The Left - There is outrage in one of the most affluent and liberal counties in America, located just outside of Washington, D.C. -- Montgomery County, Maryland. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton won more than 70% of the vote there.
What has people so upset in this politically correct county? It's not Donald Trump. Ironically, parents and taxpayers are spitting mad over the left's open border policies.
Last week, a 14 year-old girl was brutally raped and sodomized by an 18 year-old man and a 17 year-old accomplice in the boys' bathroom at Rockville High School. Both rapists were enrolled as freshmen.
We know that Henry Sanchez-Milian, the 18 year-old adult, is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who, according to the Washington Post, "arrived in the United States about seven months ago." His 17 year-old accomplice has been in the country for eight months.
Sanchez-Milian was attending the Montgomery County high school because of Barack Obama's catch and release policies. He had been apprehended at the Texas border. But on Obama's orders, he was given a citation and ordered to appear in court. I know this will shock you, but most illegal immigrants don't show up for their court hearings.
Misplaced Priorities - Instead of showing up for his court date, Sanchez-Milian went to Montgomery County, Maryland, which prides itself on being a tolerant community. According to the school system's website, Montgomery County has "Students from more than 157 countries speaking 138 languages." How many are there illegally is not known.
If someone at that high school had suggested setting up a Bible club, Maryland progressives would have argued that impressionable 14 year-olds should not be subjected to superstitious religions. If a pro-life speaker were allowed on campus, she would likely be directed to the nearest safe space or a Planned Parenthood clinic to avoid hearing "offensive" speech.
But no one thought twice about admitting illegal immigrant adult men as students, leading to a girl being brutally raped. The school argues that the law requires it to provide an education, no questions asked, to all children. But does that include adults? Did anyone think to ask for a background check?
It wouldn't have mattered. Maryland progressives are currently considering legislation to declare the entire state a sanctuary state. Had school officials known that Sanchez-Milian had a deportation order, they probably would have looked the other way.
This girl, scarred for life, is just the latest victim of the left's misplaced priorities and a corrupt establishment that has managed for decades to thwart the desire of the American people to secure our borders in order to keep thugs and terrorists out.
This should be big news, especially given the national debate taking place right now about whether we can limit immigration at all, even from failed states like Somalia, Libya and Yemen. But ABC, CBS and NBC have so far refused to cover it
Common Sense vs. Left-wing Dreams - Every time the immigration issue gets traction, left-wing commentators write stories telling us that America is doomed without immigrants. We hear about all the immigrants who lead companies, create jobs and have been tremendously successful. That is all true.
But no one is suggesting that we prevent well-educated, entrepreneurial men and women from coming to America.
What we want to stop are gang members, jihadists and those coming here to exploit our welfare system.
We always hear about compassion for the "dreamers" and other illegal immigrants. But where is the left's compassion for this 14 year old girl?
Where is the left's compassion for Kate Steinle, Sandra Duran and Jamiel Shaw? Where is the left's compassion for the American taxpayer?
The only way to ensure that we are allowing in entrepreneurial individuals and not gang members or jihadists is by securing the border (building a wall) and making deliberate decisions about who gets in.
The entire Democratic Party apparatus is trying to stop us from doing that. Sadly, certain Republicans on Capitol Hill, who can't find a single domestic program they are willing to cut, are complaining that a wall will cost too much.
This is what the left means when it talks about the "fundamental transformation" of America, using massive flows of immigration to change America the way Europe is being changed. The left rejects the idea of American exceptionalism. It rejects assimilation, the idea behind E pluribus unum: out of many, one. That is why the left is increasingly outraged by displays of patriotism.
Earlier this month, an Iowa high school apologized after students at a basketball game showed up wearing red, white and blue. Are you kidding me?!
American kids showing pride in their country should not be offensive. What is offensive is that a young girl within a short drive of the White House was raped in a school restroom by thugs who shouldn't have been in the country.
By the way, if immigration agents had caught up with Sanchez-Milian and raided the apartment or home where he was living prior to last week's attack, he would have been presented on the evening news as a victim, another "dreamer" whose dreams were cut short by Donald Trump.
It seems to me that we should be devoting more effort to figuring who is dreaming of helping America and who is dreaming about assaulting our daughters.
Surveillance Update - Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told reporters this afternoon that the Obama Administration did conduct surveillance on members of the Trump transition team, and possibly even of Trump himself, after the election.
This is a breaking story and we will know more in the hours ahead. But the congressman suggested that this development in some ways provides support for what Donald Trump said -- essentially that the Obama Administration was "tapping" (poor choice of words) or monitoring communications by him and his people.
Nunes repeated several times that it is a felony to disclose the identity of U.S. citizens (Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn) incidentally caught up in national security surveillance. Nunes said that the NSA was cooperating with his committee, but the FBI was not. Rep. Nunes stressed that, "None of this surveillance was related to Russia or the investigation of Russian activities or of the Trump team."
Asked by a reporter whether he could rule out the involvement of senior Obama Administration officials, Rep. Nunes replied, "No, I cannot."
Just to repeat what we have reported before -- after months of negative news stories and posturing by members of Congress, the only crime that we know for sure is the leaking of the names of American citizens who were incidentally caught up in national security surveillance. Since those leaks were meant to hurt Donald Trump, it is reasonable to assume that they came from left-wing bureaucrats embedded in the government.
