The Day Of Many Nothings
Kathleen Dynan, Contributing Author: The first nothing at the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings was that Comey in his prepared statement and in his answers said that President Trump has done nothing wrong. Comey said he told the President three times that he was not the subject of any investigation regarding Russia; confirming what the President had released. He also said that neither the President nor any Justice Department official tried to hamper or stop the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s attempts to interfere in the US elections last November; confirming what the President had released. He reconfirmed that the hacking by Russia and others did nothing to change any votes in last November’s election. Comey further said the President had not told him to stop investigating Michael Flynn, but had expressed the hope that because Lt. General Flynn had committed no crime, an investigation of him would not be pursued. Once again, the President’s public statement was confirmed.
The second nothing was that there was no information given that Trump haters can use to undermine our President and his Administration. The President has been publicly exonerated of all of the lies and garbage illegally leaked to and regurgitated by the media. He did not interfere with any intelligence agencies’ investigations. He did not obstruct justice. He never demanded loyalty that would include asking Comey to do anything inappropriate.
The third nothing is James Comey. He is emotionally immature and depends on his feelings to do his job, instead of following its mandated steps within the chain of command. This major character flaw was first exposed when he said Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be charged with the crimes he explained she committed through her actions. His reasoning that she lacked intent was a joke. The laws she broke do not require or even mention intent, just actions taken. His job was to investigate Clinton and provide the Department of Justice with his findings, not to decide on charges. But, he said that then Attorney General Loretta Lynch had interfered in his investigation of Clinton and he was not sure he could trust her.
In these hearings, he talked about queasy feelings he experienced when President Trump asked others to leave the room so that they could talk privately. James Comey is a coward and a snake. He did not ask the President to clarify any issues or statements that concerned him in any of their private meetings. Instead, he slithered out of those meetings with the President and wrote notes to himself. He committed a crime by leaking his notes to the media. His excuse was he wanted to ensure that a Special Council was appointed, again not his decision to make. He is an egomaniac who has decided he has the power of God. As a Catholic, he knows the Church teaches that is why Satan was sent to hell.
On national television, Comey said Loretta Lynch interfered with an FBI investigation. He lied about when he released them, but confessed that he leaked privileged communications with the President to the media. The newly-appointed Special Council, former FBI Director Robert Mueller, must investigate Comey and Lynn for their crimes, as well as Federal contract employee, Reality Winner, and all other leakers of classified information. It will be a travesty of justice if nothing happens to those who acted against the United States and endangered our national security.
