Imam Says 'Annihilate The Jews,' Trump Defends God & Country, Senate Debates Obamacare

This is the kind of vile incitement that is regularly taking place in Gaza and the West Bank, in Iran and Saudi Arabia. It explains much of the wonton violence and bloodlust of the Palestinians against Israeli Jews. Sadly, this kind of rabid anti-Semitism is standard fare in nations with large Muslim populations.
But Imam Shahin wasn't preaching in Tehran or Mecca or Ramallah or Cairo or Islamabad. He was preaching at the Islamic Center of Davis, California, not far from Sacramento and San Francisco.
Kudos to our friends at MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, for bringing this sermon out of the shadows and exposing its message of hate. I hope the FBI is investigating this mosque and Imam Shahin because I read his statement as a call for jihad in America.
The imam quite deliberately points out that he is not talking about Egyptians, Palestinians, Jordanians, but all Muslims -- including those in America -- because, as he put it, "We don't say if it is in Palestine or another place." It could be San Bernardino or Orlando.
And in his prayer about "annihilating the filth of the Jews," he also said, "Oh Allah, make this happen by our hands. Let us play a part in this. Oh Allah, let us support them in words and in deeds."
We have seen how the left even resists President Trump's effort to screen out terrorists. But we really need a bigger conservation about the fact that we haven't been doing anything to keep out those who reject the founding principles and values of America.
We have done nothing to keep out the Jew haters and those who hate Christians. We have done nothing to keep out those who think women are property.
There is nothing compassionate or decent about letting people with these repugnant views migrate legally or otherwise to our country. Coming to America is not a right, it is a privilege. We have no obligation to import hate.

Trump Defends God & Country - President Trump got a rousing reception yesterday from the 40,000 Boy Scouts at the National Scout Jamboree in Glen Jean, West Virginia. President Trump was the eighth sitting president to address a Boy Scout Jamboree.
It's not hard to understand why the president was so warmly received. He delivered a great tribute to America, to our veterans and to the values of service and patriotism. Here is a brief excerpt of his remarks:
Sadly, I can tell you there were all kinds of establishment Republicans in Washington who winced when Trump called out Obama. Not surprising, some leftists are already condemning the Jamboree as a "Hitler youth rally."
But Trump once again was demonstrating the fact that he is one of just a handful of GOP leaders who understand and appreciate how the culture war we are in sets the stage for the political battles we are fighting day after day.
President Obama never once felt the impulse to go to a Boy Scout Jamboree. Instead, he invited the leaders of radical Black Lives Matter to the White House.
He attended a church whose pastor railed against America and against Jews. He attacked the police and nuns. He alienated our allies and appeased our enemies. And he turned down the chance to speak to thousands of boys who honor God and country.
Yes, there is a culture war in America and our nation, sadly, is divided on fundamental values. But we won't win this war by pretending it isn't happening or by wishing it would go away.
President Trump reminded those Boy Scouts and every man in America who once was a Boy Scout about the values that made America great, and that is vintage Trump.
Senate Debates Obamacare - Senate Republicans won a victory today when the body voted 51-to-50 -- with Vice President Mike Pence casting the tie-breaking vote -- to begin debate on legislation repealing and replacing Obamacare.
It is not at all certain what, if anything, will ultimately pass. But, thankfully, the Senate majority mustered the courage to at least begin the process of undoing the mess that is Obamacare. We will keep you posted as events develop.
