Secure Borders Matter, Obama Follows Trump's Lead, Clinton Scandals, Left-wing Fascists
In that revealing comment, Juncker was echoing George Soros, who last year referred to national borders as "the obstacle."
Most people, no matter where they live, are astonished when they hear comments like that. Everyone knows that you don't have a nation if you don't have defined and defensible borders. When it comes to preserving your country, secure borders matter!
When people hear comments like Juncker's, they think he is nuts. But elites think it is controversial when they hear someone like Donald Trump or the leaders of Britain's Brexit movement suggest that borders should be secured. These completely different worldviews are increasingly in competition.
Unfortunately, politicians like Hillary Clinton are still playing rhetorical games. The left will say, "Of course, we're going to secure our borders." Obama has claimed that our borders are more secure than ever. But the left is constantly pursuing policies that make our borders less secure.
It was reported yesterday, 30,000 illegal immigrants "from countries of terrorist concern" crossed our borders last year. Hardly what I consider secure.
Obama Follows Trump's Lead - Donald Trump and Mike Pence went to Louisiana last week to see the devastation caused by the historic flooding firsthand. The media blasted the trip as a publicity stunt. But top Louisiana Democrats, including former Senator Mary Landrieu and Governor John Edwards, thanked and praised them for drawing attention to the state's plight.
It seems President Obama is following Donald Trump's lead -- he will visit the state today. I hope he begins his tour by apologizing to the flood victims for lecturing them about their alleged racism.
The man who is always talking about empathy refused to give up his time at Martha's Vineyard or cancel a round at the golf course. But at least he is finally going.
Meanwhile, where is Hillary Clinton? It seems she is too busy attending multiple fundraisers with Hollywood and Silicon Valley celebrities. How about donating all that cash to the Louisiana flood victims, Hillary?
Speaking Of Cash. . . The Clinton Foundation continues to cause trouble for Hillary. Here's the latest:
- State Department call logs reveal that Laura Graham, chief operating officer of the Clinton Foundation, left 148 messages for Cheryl Mills, Hillary Clinton's chief of staff, during a two year period. That's one message every five days!
- We are also learning that the prince of Bahrain, who donated $32 million to the Clinton Foundation, was frustrated by his inability to get a meeting with Secretary Clinton through "normal" State Department channels. Then Clinton Foundation executives contacted Huma Abedin about their "good friend." Two days later, the prince had a 10:00 a.m. meeting with the Secretary of State Clinton.
- And there's this news today from the Associated Press: "More than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money -- either personally or through companies or groups -- to the Clinton Foundation. It's an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president."
As Donald Trump said, Hillary Clinton turned the State Department into her own personal hedge fund.
Speaking of Hillary's scandals, our friends at Breitbart came up with one of the best lines of the year. Referring to Clinton's attempt to blame Colin Powell for her use of a private email server, Breitbart writes, "She tried to frame an innocent black man."
Trumped Up Charges - Hillary Clinton kicked off her West Coast tour with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night. She repeated the trumped up charge that Obama and others have made -- that statements by Donald Trump and conservatives about radical Islam are being used by ISIS to recruit more jihadists.
Predictably, there won't be any media outrage about Clinton's comments, unlike the furor that erupted when Trump said the policies pursued by Obama and Clinton made them founders of ISIS. But I couldn't help seeing the irony of Hillary wagging her finger and saying that Trump's statements have helped terrorists.
What helps terrorists is Hillary Clinton:
- Exposing our national security secrets on an unsecured server.
- Making a sweetheart deal with the world's leading state-sponsor of terrorism.
- Being unwilling to combat the ideology that drives jihadis to commit acts of terror.
Back in 2008, the left attacked John McCain with suggestions that he was mentally unstable due to his time in a POW camp. "John McCain is not somebody that I would like to see with his finger near the red button," one ad said.
I'm not a doctor but there are reasons to ask questions.
Clinton has had a series of coughing fits. She's fallen several times and once got a concussion. Initially her handlers downplayed it, but Bill described it as "a terrible concussion that required six months of very serious work to get over." She later developed a blot clot and finally reemerged in public with special prism glasses.
Yet her campaign has the audacity to demand that Donald Trump release his medical records!
Left-wing Fascists - There was another ugly event Friday night. Did Trump supporters attack peaceful Clinton fans? No, you would have heard about that "breaking news."
Instead, left-wing protestors attacked a Trump fundraising event in Minneapolis. Trump's motorcade was ambushed and attendees were assaulted, spat on, and threatened. Police told people to leave through another exit, but did little else to stop the violence.
The media, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were all silent, as were many elements of the Republican coalition.
The #NeverTrump crowd has a moral obligation to step up and say what they would normally say in such circumstances -- that these left-wing fascist tactics must be condemned. (GOP leaders such as Speaker Ryan and Senate Majority Leader McConnell should do the same.) But because the people being hurt are Trump and his supporters, some Republicans join with big media and ignore it.
Trump is constantly hammered for every supporter with a questionable background. Well, Hillary Clinton should be forced to condemn the thuggery that takes place on her behalf whenever it happens.

Trump leads leftists to a better direction. He is not even POTUS yet & he's taking in a better Direction. More conservative Direction. God bless Donald Trump.
Any more than good is false.
-We have good well meaning people who start off their terms wanting and working for the best for our country, sadly, they can't make a dent because of the career politicians. Cruz said that early on when he said it was their way or they would cut off your funding.
Irene, A Senator from WA state got sideways with the big-time republicans in the senate and was starved out the next cycle. She was pitching for term limits. That really offended the 'professional politicians'.
Just maybe if they really believed the Lord and what He says it would not matter if they cut off the funding. God would provide a way to get the job done. Cruz did not have enough faith to believe the Lord. The Word says to stand your ground and "If you seek the Lord and His righteousness all things will be given unto you." Matt. 6:33. Works every time, if you believe the Lord.
Each of us has to take responsibility for ourselves before the Lord. there is nothing wrong with the Word, it is our personal relationship we have with the Lord that is the problem we need to work on.
