72% Say Congress Spends Too Much Time on Vacation
Rasmussen Reports: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is considering cancelling the Senate's month-long August recess in order to get more work done. If there’s one thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on, it’s that Congress spends too much time away from Capitol Hill.
The following new National Survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports on May 24 and 27, 2018
1* Does Congress spend too much time on vacation?
2* Would it be better or worse for the country if Congress met less often? Or would it make no difference? The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 72% of Likely U.S. Voters think Congress spends too much time on vacation. Twelve percent (12%) disagree, while 16% are not sure.
The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on May 24 and 27, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
