Endorsement of E.W. Jackson for U.S. Senate From Virginia

by Ken Blackwell, Contributing Author: I have known E.W. Jackson for many years. He first came to my attention in the 1990’s when he was working for the Christian Coalition with Ralph Reed and Pat Robertson. Most recently we worked together as Senior Fellows for the Family Research Council.

I have built a career and reputation as former Mayor of Cincinnati, former Secretary of State for Ohio, UN Ambassador for Human Rights appointed by President Reagan, businessman and board member for a variety of corporations and organizations, including the NRA. I do not lightly lend my name to anything or anyone. I whole heartedly, without reservation or equivocation, endorse E.W.Jackson for U.S. Senate.

Over more than twenty years I have gotten to know him as a Christian gentleman. He is a hard worker who, once he sinks his teeth into a project or assignment, carries it to successful completion. He is a person of integrity who says what he means, means what he says and does not back down once he has taken a stand.

He loves God. He loves his country, and he loves the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Having served in several high offices, I trust E.W. Jackson with high office. I trust him to sit in the United States Senate with humility and fidelity to the people who send him there.

I trust him to honor the Constitution of the United States.

I trust him to protect our First Amendment right to free speech and religious liberty.

I trust him to defend and expand our Second Amendment right to keep and bear our arms. As a sitting Board Member of the NRA, he would not have my endorsement without my absolute confidence that he will uphold the Second Amendment without compromise. He believes in it with every fiber of his being and he has twenty years of activism and a lifetime membership in the NRA to prove it.

I stand with E.W. and I urge every law abiding gun owner to stand with him as well.

He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps from the Vietnam Era. After he volunteered expecting to fight in Viet Nam, the war began to wind down and those orders never came. However, he watched his brothers in arms come home to be called names and spat on by anti-war activists. This experience gave him a special compassion for all veterans. He will see to it that our military men and women are treated right while serving and after they are discharged or retire. He supports healthcare choice for veterans so that those who put their lives on the line for us do not have to die waiting in line for medical care.

In sum, Virginia could not do better than to elect E.W. Jackson as their next United States Senator.
