ERA - Arkansas HJR1002 Defeated in Committee Today
ARRA Editor: ERA bill, HJR1002 was heard today before Arkansas' State Agencies and Governmental Affairs House Committee. After a heated debate, the committee split on a vote of 10-10 and the proposed bill died in committee. A majority vote was needed for the bill to advance from the committee to the Arkansas House for a vote. Larry Page, Executive Director, Arkansas Faith & Ethics Council, observed today's debate. He relayed that due to the intensity of the discussions, it is doubtful that the bill will be reintroduced again this legislative session.
10 FOR the ERA: Earnest Brown, Marilyn Edwards, Clark Hall, Mark Pate, Rick Saunders, Jeff Wood, Steve Harrelson, Eddie Cheatham, Charolette Wagner, Denny Sumpter 10 AGAINST the ERA: Dan Greenberg, Lance Reynolds, Pam Adcock, Robert Jeffrey, David Evans, Horace Hardwick, Daryl Pace, Eric Harris, Rick Green, Buddy Lovell.

Yet another victory for the families of Arkansas and in America as the ERA failed to clear the Arkansas legislative committee today. Write the committee members that voted against this bill and congratulate them on standing up for the families of Arkansas.
