Conservative group predicts passage of 'hate crimes' bill

ARRA Editor Opening Comment: Just like the current concern by Arkansans over the need to block a law masquerading as hate crimes legislation, but which is actually intended to push alternative lifestyles into the American mainstream (SB264), we face an assault on the national level.

OneNewsNow: Concerned Women for America fears Democrats will succeed in passing a so-called "hate crimes" bill in Congress. The pro-family group also is vowing to fight a pro-homosexuality bill set to be introduced later this year by Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). Back in January, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) introduced HR 254. The bill would create additional penalties for felonies committed because of the victims' "perceived or actual" identity, such as sexual orientation, gender, or disability.
