Huckabee Endorsed by the Home School Legal Defense Association
Former AR Governor Mike Huckabee has received “an historic, early endorsement” of the Home School Legal Defense Association. The 80,000 member HSLDA is a nonprofit organization working to advocate the rights of parents to home-school their children. “We believe that Mike Huckabee, (former) Governor of Arkansas, should be elected the next President of the United States,” HSLDA President J. Michael Smith said. Smith touted Huckabee’s record as governor of Arkansas, pro-life, pro-family conservative values and presidential campaign platform, which includes a pro-defense plank and support for the FairTax, as reasons his organization stands behind Huckabee. . . . Smith concluded: “Many of us have waited a long time for a presidential candidate who is a truly qualified and articulate man who shares our values down to his core. Mike Huckabee entered politics for the same reason that most of us began: home-schooling. As a homeschooler I don't get this, he is the most pro-public education beuracracy candidate running for the GOP. He greatly enlarged their public school system and is against education reform, and I have seen no great pro-homeschooler accomplishments on his part. I'm much more with Duncan Hunter who has supported the voucher system, and parental rights issues. Not to mention his unrivaled slew of conservative credentials.
As a member of HSLDF I absolutely do not support the Huckster. He supports embryonic stem cell research which is an anti-pro-life issue. He is also a member of LULAC a pro-illegal alien organization. He has also actively supported and encourged instate tuition rates for illegal aliens while American citizens from other states have to pay out of state tuition rates. He is endorsed and supported by the CEO of Tyson chicken which has 7 chicken plants in Arkansas inwhich they were the subject of raids for illegal aliens working there. He is not an honest person. The conservative southern Baptists are not supporting him since he supported the liberal southern baptists when they were going thru their problems. He son tortured and killed a dog while a boyscout and was not investigated. His son was recently arrested for trying to bring a loaded gun onto a airplane. If Mike Huckabee can't take care of his own house how can he take care of a house of God. This man has just as many problems as Rudy Giuliani. The only difference is that Mike lies more about it to cover it up. I could go on and on. There is a laundry list of lies that Huckabee is fooling voters with. Don't be fool by the con man.
