Giuliani Wins Straw Poll at 2007 Republican Women's Convention
KESQ, News 3: GOP presidential front-runner Rudy Giuliani won a straw poll at the 34th biennial convention of the National Federation of Republican Women in Palm Springs. The ballot included nine candidates, but the former mayor of New York was the only one to speak at the four-day convention . . . Giuliani received 50.21% of the 765 votes cast, according to convention officials. Fred Thompson was second with 20.94%, Mitt Romney 14.42%, and Mike Huckabee 6.66%.
