Ron Paul: a GQ Man of the Year
GQ or Gentlemen’s Quarterly magazine, is a men’s general interest magazine, announced today the honorees for the magazine's 12th annual "Men of the Year" issue, featuring three separate covers and hitting news stands nationwide Nov. 27, 2007. Selected from the worlds of politics, motion pictures, and hip-hop, the December covers showcase an impressive trio of gentlemen. Former president Bill Clinton, actor and new James Bond star Daniel Craig, and producer/hip-hop artist Kanye West head up this year's group of honorees. We expect Hillary Clinton felt slighted for not being allowed to join her husband on the cover of GQ.
On the list of GQ 36 real "men of the year," the only presidential candidate for 2008 making the list was Ron Paul the 10-term Texas Congressman Ron Paul who was listed by GQ magazine as “Dark Horse of the Year.” The GQ list represented a select group of 38 entertainers, athletes, politicians, and other icons. Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton related, “Dr. Paul is humbled and honored to be chosen as a ‘man of the year.’ According to GQ, Dr. Paul is the dark horse to win the presidency, and with support steadily rising each day, we are moving closer to winning the Republican Party nomination.” See Also:GQ Announces 2007 Men of the Year&MEN OF THE YEAR 2007
