Democrat Racism
The Obama Presidential Public Service Announcement by Bob Parks, Outside the Wire: Many are still incensed by Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell’s editorial board comments in Monday’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "You've got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate.”
That, along with the introduction of race as a component of the Democrat presidential nomination process, has alarmed many liberals who believed they were above all that. I contend, that kind of thinking is in their blood. As far as Rendell’s comments, he’s more ignorant than racist. Since “conservative whites” are… conservative, the chances they would vote for a Democrat in the first place is slim. Conservative whites will probably vote Republican, so Rendell’s is a fallacious premise. The fact that he got specific and said that some whites “are probably not ready to vote for an African-American” reflects badly on those who feel themselves the embodiment of positive race relations.
If anything, Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy will spotlight just who’s been the premiere racists in America today, just as their self-revised history proves it’s always been: the Democrat Party. On a local cable access program yesterday of a Black History Month presentation, an African professor talked on and on about race. However, he was also a victim of revisionist history. He went on about how brave and noble the abolitionists to slavery were, and how evil the slave owners were.
He cited the names of many of the early Presidents of the United States who were slave owners. However, not once did he tell his students that the abolitionists would eventually become the Republican Party, and that almost all of those presidents who were slave owners were proud Democrats. He also (and I can’t say conveniently because he appeared truly ignorant of our American heritage) left out that in subsequent decades, it was the Republican Party that elected the first Black congressmen and senators, and collectively wrote a plethora of civil rights legislation the Democrat Party later repealed.
It was the Democrat Party that gave Blacks the poll taxes and literacy tests to keep them from voting… Republican. It was the Democrat Party that created the Ku Klux Klan as an enforcement arm to terrorize Black and White Republicans. It was the Democrat Party that repealed anti-lynching legislation, yet today their very liberals are hypersensitive any time a noose appears in public. If this is all news to you, I do understand. When you control history, you can re-write it to your benefit. As liberals are the super-majority of teachers and professors in academia, it’s no wonder many of us know nothing of the racist legacy of the Democrat Party. Bill Clinton early campaign race-baiting on Hillary’s behalf, and that of Ed Rendell highlights the fact that they are just products of authentic Democrat breeding.
The only people who have floated the idea of a possible President Obama assassination have been liberal Democrats. Note: John Wilkes Booth, a Democrat, assassinated Republican President Abraham Lincoln for his freeing of slaves, so this kind of has precedent. For any of you who want to know more about the real history of the Democrat Party, I invite you to check out the eye-opening videos I’ve posted for Black History Month on my website.
Barack Obama’s presidential campaign may well bring to light the true instinctive nature of Democrats. While they still complain about the disenfranchisement of Black voters, the Clinton campaign may seek to nullify Obama’s delegate votes from ordinary Americans with those of Democrat insider elite superdelegates. Talk about irony.

Nice try, but we all know the parties switched ideals about 60 years ago. Today's Republicans = Dixiecrats.
You make it seem like the members of the Democratic party were the same ones back in the day. "Liberal" and "conservative" don't apply to parties 100%. For the most part, the liberals of that age were Republicans, but now they're mostly Democrats. This shift happened because of the Republican's pro-business stance in the Industrial Revolution and anti-union, as well as the Democratic Franklin Roosevelt.
So my point is that Democrats today aren't the racists they were almost a century ago. Nor did they use to be racist since the bulk of them were raised by baby-boomers, who were responsible for the civil rights movement in the first place.
Saying that the Democrats have a "true instinctive nature" for racism is absurd, inane, and stupid. The Democrats today were born in the past 50 years, not in 1860. You're trying to get your reader to associate Democrats and racism but not allowing them to think and follow logic. This kind of political discourse is the kind which is killing American politics, and why Americans are so cynical to begin with. Shame on you.

Southern Democrats debated against the passage of 1965 Voting Rights Act
Southern Democrats fought against Affirmative Action
President Woodrow Wilson, the second Democrat to serve since the Civil War, reintroduced segregation throughout the federal government immediately upon taking office in 1913. Avowed racists such as Josephus Daniels and Albert Burleson were named Cabinet secretaries. Black leaders like W.E.B. DuBois, who had strongly supported Wilson, were bitterly disappointed, but shouldn't have been surprised. As president of Princeton University, Wilson refused to admit blacks and as governor of New Jersey ignored blacks' requests for state jobs, even though their votes had provided his margin of victory. Wilson, who is worshipped as the utmost "progressive" (where and by who have you heard that term used lately?) of his time allowed federal officials to segregate "toilets, cafeterias and work" areas of various federal departments.
When Franklin D. Roosevelt had his first opportunity to name a member of the Supreme Court, he appointed a life member of the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Hugo Black, Democrat of Alabama. In 1944, FDR chose as his vice president Harry Truman, who had joined the Ku Klux Klan in Kansas City in 1922. Throughout his presidency, Roosevelt resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching, and he opposed integration of the armed forces.
FDR refused to have pictures taken with blacks.
FDR sent Japanese Americans to internment camps, a conservative newspaper chain denounced this violation of civil rights, as did the influential black conservative George Schuyler.
Democrat-controlled state legislatures in the South that placed the Confederate battle flag on their state capitol flags.
1964: Democrat Robert Kennedy assisted the FBI's efforts to destroy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by approving the wiretapping of the man considered the heart and soul of the civil rights movement.
Theophilus Eugene "Bull" Connor (July 11, 1897, Selma, Alabama – March 10, 1973) was a Democratic politician and police official from the city of Birmingham, Alabama during the American Civil Rights Movement. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and a staunch advocate of racial segregation.
Another Ku Klux Klan member, Sen. Robert C. Byrd, Democrat of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage. He was a Democrat member of the U.S. Senate till just recently.
In public opinion polls on school choice, blacks overwhelmingly favor vouchers to rescue their children from failing schools. No one knows better the damage that poor schools can do to their children's future and communities than blacks. Republicans are in favor of school choice. Democrats aren't. The Democrats are pandering to the NEA.
