Doyle Webb to Lead RPA "Victory 2008"
Former state Sen. Doyle Webb will head the Arkansas Republican Party’s efforts to increase voter turnout in the general election this fall. Republican Party of Arkansas (RPA) Chair Dennis Milligan announced today that Doyle Webb appointments as Chair of the "Victory 2008." Dole is especially remembered in Arkansas as affable friend and Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Win Rockefeller. Webb will lead the RPA's grassroots get-out-the-vote programs that will aid local candidates but serve to elect Sen. John McCain as Arkansas' choice for President of the United States.
“This November, Arkansans are looking to elect true fiscal and social conservative leadership from the White House to the State House,” explained Senator Webb. “In addition to aggressively communicating Senator John McCain’s positive vision for America, the Republican Party of Arkansas has recruited many qualified candidates running for state offices. I look forward to communicating our Party’s message in order to ensure Republican victories on Election day.”
Webb is currently serving a four year term on the Public Defender Commission. Previously, he served on the Governor’s Task Force on Racial Profiling and is the former Chairman of the Arkansas History Commission. In addition to political service, Webb is extremely active in his community. He is a member and past President of the Benton-Bauxite Rotary Club. He received the Vocational Service Award and is a Paul Harris Fellow through Rotary International. Webb has also served in leadership roles with the Benton "Civitan" Club, Gideon’s International, the Salvation Army, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Boy Scouts of America. He has also been involved in the Benton Chamber of Commerce which named him “Citizen of the Year” in 1995. Finally, Doyle serves as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Benton.
