In the case of "Big Oil", our knowledgeable congressmen issued a very public tongue-lashing to the CEO's of America's major oil companies earlier this week. Purely for show, our elected representatives dressed down the leaders of a profitable enterprise, purely because it is profitable. . . .
Introspection is a trait seldom seen on Capitol Hill, that is, unless one of those politicians is issuing some kind of scripted mea culpa. We are all feeling it at the pump, but these congressmen and senators seldom ask what have they done to contribute to the high prices that amount to higher profits for the oil companies?
Food for thought. Thanks to environmentalists and the politicians that suck up to them, American oil companies haven’t been allowed to build a new oil refinery here for over 30 years, while the demand for gasoline has greatly increased since.
