CitizensLink: The California Supreme Court decided today to allow same-sex "weddings" in the state beginning June 17 — instead of waiting for the people to vote on a constitutional amendment in November. Attorneys general from at least 12 states had asked the court to wait to implement its May 15 decision in favor of same-sex "marriage." "There's every possibility that 'marriages' rendered to same-sex couples in the (next) few months will be invalid when the people of California vote in November to overrule the Supreme Court's decision," said Ron Prentice, executive director of the California Family Council.
