"In God We Trust" Poll Still Getting Hits for MSNBC
MSNBC is still running their poll on should 'In God We Trust' stay on our American currency. It was initiated based on 2005 story [Pledge of Allegiance foe Newdow sues to remove motto from U.S. currency]. MSNBC evidently has noted the poll remains a good source for visitors to their site and still affords them the opportunity for more advertising. Heck, I am even writing about it. To cast your vote, visit MSNBC poll before MSNBC takes this off the web page. As of this post, not quite 3 years after it started, even with the anti-God crowd refreshing their browsers or clearing their computer cashe and re-voting, 65% still says leave In God We Trust alone. Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency? 3914854 responsesFor the 35%, have you ever truly studied the history of the United States? Where in the U.S Constitution is the "principle of separation of church and state"? For those who actually believe there is no God, the "real" atheists, why would you even care? If an atheist doesn't believe in God then they must see the majority as delusional in their belief in a non-existent God. If so, why are they so intent on attacking the beliefs of the majority? Are they trying to save the majority from our disillusionment? It seems they "dost protest to much." Maybe they are not really atheists but are in fact believers / worshipers of an anti-God and / or Godless beliefs to which they hope all mankind to be converted. History has shown us Marxism - or even cults like Nazism - that seeks converts by having them first reject their belief in God.
Yes. It's a violation of the principle of separation of church and state. 35%
No. The motto has historical and patriotic significance and does nothing to establish a state religion. 65%
