In the House, the Republican protest over Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to allow a vote on drilling enters its second week today. The message is clearly having an impact, as Politico reports that “MoveOn.org announced Thursday it was launching radio ads targeting Republicans for organizing the protest.” MoveOn is apparently desperate to blunt the momentum for more drilling; a new Rasmussen poll that shows 57% of Democrats and 61% of independent voters see finding new energy sources as a priority. Rasmussen Reports also notes: “With energy issues taking center stage in the presidential campaign, 81% of Americans see development of new energy sources as an urgent priority. Only 9% disagree.”

New sources of energy doesn't mean oil from offshore drilling. The oil companies have leases for land they can drill on but they choose not to and sit on the leases and ask for more leases. Also, regardless of how much oil we pump it means nothing if we can't refine it into gas. Why aren't the Republicans pushing for more refineries instead of oil rigs? It's because refineries have to be built on land, near people's homes, and no one wants an oil refinery in their backyard. But an oil rig in the middle of the ocean doesn't bother any one (Until there is a spill of course, but let's not think of that right now, we need MORE OIL). Republicans have been using these political tricks for years, but now thanks to the internet and the free spread of information it allows, people are more educated, and most people can see through the bs.

When they drill they have to have more refineries!I hate to say this because it will make some people mad but oh well! McCain will be a great president reasons being is he isnt trying to be slick about the taxes Oh i will tax the companies but wait dont go and think about this Because if you do you will know you will be paying more because higher taxes for them mean huger prices for you.Come on lets think about this just for a minute ok taxes go up here the prices he to go up my 6 year old son could tell you that its common since.And at least i can and will say McCain has serve his country and im sure if he needed to even though is is really old and cant lift his arms up past his shoulder would serve it again!
what has Obama Done?? He wont even Salute the AMERICAN FLAG!! Im sorry but that says alot about him what kind of person wants to run a country but wont salute there FLAG?
