Senator Jim DeMint on the Auto Bailout

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) cut a great new video against the auto bailout Thursday. His bottom line: "This is a business problem, and it cannot be solved with a political solution. Congress can't manage the auto industry, when it doesn't even know how to manage itself. Instead of using your tax dollars to prop up a failing business structure, it is time for these companies to restructure so they can be competitive for years to come."

Thankfully, enough senators joined Sen. DeMint in derailing the auto bailout, in spite of Sen. Barbara Boxer's (D-CA) plea to pass the bailout because, well, you know, "... this is the Christmas season!" Congrats to the senators who held the line and stood up for taxpayers!

DeMint is right but it doesn't matter,the spin is in. Southern senators are the bad guys.Destroyers of Detroit. UAW,Big 3 victims.
