Colleges Prepare for Returning Vets

In the wake of the announcement that Iraq troops will be returning home soon, Northwest Arkansas Community College administrators are looking forward to and preparing for the flood of returning Iraq veterans in the Fall. "Arkansans make up a disproportionate part of the military burden," says Robert Mock, Vice Chancelor for Student Affairs of the University of Arkansas, at a workshop on Friday, February 27. "We can expect to see a disproportionately large number of returning veterans as college students." With the moribund job market and increases in the GI Bill, most returning veterans may begin appearing on U.S. college campuses as early as this Fall. View the video:
