Right.. he called in Gates a few days later to ask:
Obama: I thought you had trained seals on site to - you know - calm things down?
Gates: I did Mr. President.
Obama: I thought they would - you know - swim around balancing a red ball in the water to - you know - make the poor Somali kids relax.
Gates: Mr. President, the SEALs are the Navy's special combat ops team.
Obama: Dang... I knew that.
