Uninsured In America - The Hidden Truth Obama does not want you to know!
This video was made by filmmaker Stuart Browning and posted over two years ago. He shares the facts about the uninsured that our government keeps stumbling around. It is time that we all understand and share the truth. Stuart examines the conventional wisdom that 45 million Americans cannot get health insurance and consequently do not have access to health care. The end result is that this figure does not reveal the truth. In 9 minutes, the video shows just how short-sighted it is to provide health insurance to the uninsured. Share this video with others!

Why doesn't the All Barack Channel run this during prime time?
Wait till you get to the end and discover it all the fault of the illegal immigrants and the homeless. Did you even watch this before you postd it?? Embarassing.
Kind of embarrassing for you to copy/paste post the exact same text on two people posting this link. Or? How many others??!! What are you, a one man dis-info squad. A school teacher. Doesn't work much, so he doesn't want to blow a good thing. Scared the not-so-well secret will be told.
High five Bill! This is an important piece. Yes....there are illegals and their eligibility for health care is questionable. Yes there are homeless and indigents who need healthcare and will never participate in a system that requires them to sign up. But there are literally millions of people who are uninsured because they choose to be. And ... Read Morethe health insurance provided by this government will make healthcare more expensive for all of us and we will all pay the price. And they will take it gladly because it is free. I have not seen one...NOT EVEN ONE....rational explanation of how healthcare under the government will actually control costs.
I am asking anyone supporting healthcare to tell me how it will actually control costs. Don't tell me about competition. There is competition in the industry now. Tell me SPECIFICALLY how it is going to control costs. And if you can convince me....then we will move on to availability, rationing, effectiveness, government intrusion, etc
At the end of the short, say, seven minutes in, the fancy graphics give way to ominious music and an omnious voice over as pictures of immigrants and homeless are shown and the ominious voiceover lists off resons to blame these groups. Common technique(sp) to link anti -healthcare feelings with racism.
Its a very lame and ameteurism fim w/ no substance.
To Chris Tuthill's: " I have not seen one...NOT EVEN ONE....rational explanation of how healthcare under the government will actually control costs."
just like the VA, mass buying of medicine and pills by one agency will bring down the cost of these things by as much as 40%. That's why Americans go to Canada to get cheap medicine - since the Canadian systems buy in mass, they get their medicine cheaper.
See - one rational explanation how healthcare with collective insurance in America will actually control costs.... Read More
Please deny this.
Right, Pat, but the 12 million illegals who who automatically receive health care, the 16 million 20-30 somethings who dont seek and dont care, the 10 million who already qualify for other state and fed programs but dont apply, the 10s of millions of new illegal immigrants who would flood across our borders once they found that free health care can... Read More now be added to the tons of free stuff they would get living here (without paying taxes) . . .AND the government bureaucracy increasing costs for many portions of health care AND increased corruption that already bloats out medicare AND the 7% annual forced increase by government for all programs healthcare or otherwise
Well . .while we were saving on prescription drugs by 40%, the increased cost to the overall system would be 100 times greater then these savings.
We have prescription control options we can use A) Wal-mart B) off brand name C) government regulation of some of this industry D) quit making it illegal for people to get there drugs in Canada or other places to "force" capitalistic competitiveness. E) Open up healthcare competition across state lines so insurers have to compete harder and lower ... Read Morecosts
We have free market solutions we can apply to healthcare that would be 10 times for efficient and 10 times more successfull . .but they dont fit into Obama's plans to turn us into a social democracy
In addition, wouldn't it make more sense to 1) educate the 10 million who already qualify for existing state/fed programs to do so and apply 2) make the illegals legal so that they can pay taxes and pay for their own healthcare versus just giving them free care at everyone elses expense 3) leave the 20 somethings alone who rarely get sick, rarely need healthcare and dont care anyways 4) take the remaining 8 million peopel who do not have coverage and do not qualify and put them into a mass single payer group non-profit NGO quasi priavte/public collective? Like Romney did with the whole state of Massachusets?
On the copy/paste thing, I saw this saw this same link and your same comments on "Amy Hagerstrom" . . .

I almost forgot. Tort reform. #1 PROBLEM If we quit allowing $10 million lawsuits for losing half a finger and quit lining the pockets of the vulturous leftist trial attorneys the healthcare industry cost would drop by 30% and still allow people fair compensation for any malpractice. This alone would drop insurance costs to doctors, drop medical ... Read Morecosts to consumers, fix the current system without any other legislation and would open up plenty of money to cover the uninsured
But Mr. Obama has sex regularly with these people and would never do anything to spurn his lovers.
the films solutions, beside blame the immigrants and homeless, was to expect Americans to rely on a cobbled together sets of systems scattered across different governmental levels, charity, and luck.
America deserves a lot better. You sound as uninformed and as clueless as Bush was when he was rightly mocked for being so out of touch when he said along the lines that all amerians have health care beacuse they could all go to an emergency room. Clueless.
As for costs -check out the failed systems in all of the other major advanced industralised nations that have some form of collective insurance. Since we have a collective army, police force, fireforce, etc ect ect, who says that collective insurance wouldnt work? We do have lots of models - canada. Britain. Germany. Japan. Try reading a dispassionate account of the workings of thse systems and get back to me - no more of that crummy hack stuff that us good decent americans rightly our backs on.... Read More
I mean rite??
Costs - 31% of American costs are takn up in beurracy (sic) and profits etc, while its more like 1% in Canada.
would this be another " rational explanation of how healthcare under the government will actually control costs"
and it keeps coming too - America would be so better off if we passed a law for universal care.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP REPLYING... I keep getting his insane comments... The correlation is so baseless he is a poster child for the Catholic schools! (And he teaches for the CPS!)

There is a reason why we call the American health insurance the AMERICAN Health Insurance... It is for those who are Americans or at least pay into the system...

Sorry, but please "put yr money where yr mouth is" -you wouldnt be a hypocrit, now, rite. You were the one who mentioned free trade, rite?
Funny Pat, I'm not sure where racism was mentioned in the video. The point of the video was is that just a small percentage of large amount of uninsured are uninsured at NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN. Hmmn, seems to be fear mongering a bit since no one is recommending we insure illegals.
We've tried "free market" for my entire life. My health care went up 10-20% per year, every year, for 30 years, with dramatic decreases in coverage. The "free market" approach has us paying the highest health care costs in the world for service that ranks 37th or something... That tells me the system could use some work.
I don't expect health care to be free, I expect I'll pay taxes for it. I also don't mind paying a few more dollars a year so that others can get health care who don't have it.
I also expect that a private system willcoexist eventually with the public, as people who have money will want a better option. And I expect it will continue to go up in price 10 to 20% a year, and if you can afford the private option that's great. Let's get something the rest of us can afford too.
It's a load. He cites one young irresponsible woman and one young irresponsible man, says they represent most of the uninsured. He says anyone making $50k can afford insurance, as if everyone needs the same kind of health care their whole life long. He thinks ERs are a source of primary health care. He thinks free clinics are everywhere and open to anyone and everyone. He cites like three locations in the whole United States.
And as for the rest of the uninsured, they're just irresponsible. What a load.
