Boozman Wins "True Blue” Award for Unwavering Support of the Family
Family Research Council Action: U.S. Representative John Boozman (AR-03) has been recognized as a “True Blue” Member of Congress by FRC Action and Focus Action for unwavering commitment and consistent support in defense of the family.
The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith, and freedom, according to FRC Action’s scorecard covering the votes of the 110th Congress. Recipients of the “True Blue” Award voted consistently for pro-life and pro-family issues.
These votes included:
• Prohibition on Funding Human Cloning
• Federal Hate Crimes Act
• Maintain Mexico City Policy on International Abortion Funding
• Employment Non-Discrimination Act
• Restrict Funding to Planned Parenthood
• Prevent DC Same-sex “Marriage”
• Prohibit Funding for Washington DC Needle Exchange Program
“The defense of life and family are important to me, and my constituents in the Third District,” Boozman said. “I am proud to be a part of this large bipartisan group that holds traditional family values and the lives of unborn children in such high regard.”
“Members of the 110th Congress who receive this award have shown themselves to be consistent defenders of faith, family, and freedom, “said FRC Action President Tony Perkins. “I applaud these Members for upholding the institutions of marriage and family even in the face of hostile opposition from the hostile liberal leadership.”
“Voters should be encouraged by the commitment these True Blue Members have shown,” concluded Perkins.
