The Communist State Building
by William Warren:
Empire State Building Lit Up Red And Yellow to "Honor" The 60th Anniversary Of Communist China. First the Communist Flag flown in Washington D.C. and now this. True the Empire State Building management company can do anything they wish to do. But "thanks for nothing!" Celebrating a country whose founder, Moa Tse-Tung, said "Communism is the hammer which we will use to crush the enemy" and who slaughtered as many as 70 million of his own people is an insult to the memories of the American workers that built this symbol of American free enterprise and to the American people!

This is a travesty in my opinion
I'd like to see the idiots who did this to go to Communist China so they can experience first hand how "awesome" the place is.
Over 70,000,000 dead at the hands of that regime. That's a reason to celebrate
As per esteemed former President Jimmy Carter, we, as a nation, have been over our "inordinate fear of Communism" since about 1978 or so.
It's amazing to me how many people idealize something they've never had to experience firsthand. I understand why the powerful would admire it, because under a Communist system, their power would be absolute and... Read More unchallenged, and they wouldn't have to stand for pesky re-elections every few years.
We are indeed two nations, one of eagles, who love freedom and the "certain inalienable rights" that were "endowed by our Creator" that our Founders spoke of, and vigilant in defense of those, and a nation of ostriches, those who have received the benefits of those freedoms, but have buried their heads in the sand and deny that those freedoms are under assault and require diligence and maintenance by each generation in order for their preservation.
And, by the way, I say "esteemed" and "Jimmy Carter" in the same sentence under the most facetious of terms, LOL.
What's most scary is that they own so much of our debt. Hope this isn't a sign that they'll be calling in on the debt on us soon.
Indeed. Money is influence. When you start accepting money, or, in our case, begging for it, from other people or nations, there are always strings attached. In the Bible, it says that "the borrower is the servant of the lender." (Prov. 22:7) It is never good to be in debt, but certainly, in the case of a nation, it is not at all good to be in debt to a nation that sees itself as our rival, and feels that it's growth is necessary to offset our nation's power and influence.
It is probably because China either owns or has a significant stake in the building. An Min. Henson said they are going to be owning much more of us at our ow doing.
