Bill Smith, Editor: Hey - I am tired of all the Washington D.C. abuse and their B.S. I bet readers are too. So let's all relax and watch a wide screen Pictorial Tribute to John Wayne with relaxing music and some words from The Duke about America. The tribute was put together by Rob Mason, who lives in the UK. Mason recognizes a great American when he sees one and said, "Mr. John Wayne, the true measure of a man, was possibly the most decent human being to ever set foot on planet earth [or at least America]. I could not agree more. John Wayne was the inspiration for many young men, and still needs to be!
I too am a big John Wayne, but my sister is totally over the top. She went to New Orleans many years ago to see the premier of "The Undefeated" with Wayne, dont recall the year sometime in the late 1960's anyway she got to touch him, and when she came home---cloud nine. The "Undefeated" was partically filmed in south Louisiana there it opened in New Orleans.
John Wayne was big in his films and in stature; however, the biggest proved to be in his HEART!
I began watching John Wayne movies
as a child in the Saturday "Fun Clubs" . . . never saw one I didn't like.
John Wayne was our daughter's first
"boyfriend" when she was six she
asked me if John Wayne could be her
boyfriend. Of course, my answer
was a BIG y e s:-)
Oh yeah, I AM a John Wayne fan and
that is a forever love:-)
Heaven is sweeter cause John is
there now.
