Here is the phone # to that school: (609) 386-3520
called and will try to call again - there was no answer and the mailbox was full. I hope there is a tremendous outpour of strong protest against such brain washing of American children!!!
B. Bernice Young Elementary School 1203 Neck Rd Burlington, NJ 08016 (609) 386-3520, superintendent, (609) 387 9556
Yeah I just saw this video. I could not stomach all of it. People are insane right now.
Toto, I KNOW (not think) we're not in Kansas anymore. Auntie Em, where ARE you???
They should get handy little pocket knives with the inscription "Blut und Ehre" (Blood and Honor) like the German boy scouts from the 30's and 40's.
This guy hasn't been in Our White House one year yet.. and already his followers are treating Our Schools as tho this is his Communist Country... they said on FOX NEWS some parents were H-O-T- - sure hope they go in a group to complain loudly... libs have taught us well, squeaky wheel gets the grease...
John, yea, right??? Ugh!
You've got that right, Jeri.
I always objected the use of children for political purposes. It's mostly Democrats who do that. Recently I have seen some Republicans doing it too & was not happy about it & object to that strongly!!! I think I offended some conservatives on FB re: my views on that subject. I have very strong feeling that children should retain their innocence as children. No sex ed, no political propaganda or public awarness info adds.
This is a pretty good thread on this topic: http://michellemalkin.com/2009/09/24/mmm-mmm-mmm-new-details-about-the-dear-leader-song-video/#comments
I'm not gonna comment cause I get myself into trouble every time
I open my HUGE CONSERVATIVE MOUTH, but this is so much like a long drawn out Coup, never mind what Glen Beck says, the LIB Zombies are REAL!!!! LOL
Hey TEACHER! Leave those kids alone!! (Pink Floyd, anyone?)
I see nothing wrong with it...all should respect and honor our President even if you don't agree with him on issues...so overblown is this anti Obama BS...get over it, he won and another lost, so what...I tend to agree with Jimmy Carter, all this constant bashing is because he is black and white Amercia can't stand it...hilarious when you get right down to it. He is a perfect product of the of American system to help all have a chance to succeed, especially black children that are raised in hardships and poverty, single moms trying to better there children and then God forbid he actually made it. His mom sacrifices and hard work and the American dream worked, OMG how awful...a poor black child/family actually applied everything THEY say should be done....and now the one's saying it are mad and bitter sore losers...that is all this is about...he applied himself like we want them to and he is damned for it....it a shame really.

Really? Did the dems show respect and honor to Pres Bush? Hardly. I don't think this is appropriate- these kids don't even know what they are saying. It is simply a teacher having an outlet to voice his/her own opinion- and can do so because she can point a finger and call everyone a racist if they say it is wrong.
Everyone should respect and honor the president of the United States - it's who the people voted for.
I'll go out on a limb here and say again - for all who don't seem to want to hear it - this is not about race. If it were he wouldn't be president. AND HE IS. So get off the race topic. It's as simple as that.
People of legal voting age, who read and completely understand the issues and form their OWN opinions and know and understand how policies work are who we need to hear from.... and keep hearing from.
The people who can't get off the topic of race being a factor are wasting their time and not addressing the issues at hand.
Sorry Kelly, he's every bit as white as he is black. Respect and honor is a far cry from worship. No president deserves that kind of idolization. It's not about WHO won or lost but rather the POLICIES of this administration.
Hear Hear!! Suzanne!
Dear Leader has no business addressing my children...that is MY job. He is a stranger to them and has no business trying to build a trust bridge there. When it comes to my kids, what you think about it doesn't hold much weight at all, as it should be with us all. Go take that useless race card somewhere else...I laugh at it!
I just think this is so funny for all these right wing crazies who said he was gonna turn the nation into an Islamic nation. Nope - he's communist. Through and through.
And I wouldn't care if the man was black/white/pink or green. My stance against him is purely ideological and political and economical. And my family is extremely multiracial.
Rock on, Joelle! :)
The JUST STUFF movie shown in our schools against capitalism and anti American is very real. My husband and I are planning on visiting our grand-kids classes to get a real clear picture of what is happening. I think everyone with children should do the same thing.
Absolutely! You think you can do a better job, get elected!
And actually, I have enormous respect for the office he holds. And I will pay him the respect he is due as the man holding that office. But - I still don't like him. And I think he is a power hungry dictator wanna be. But he is the man God allowed to be in the office, and I follow what it says in 2 Timothy about paying honor due where honor is due.
Respecting and honoring are two different things. Just as the office and the man are two different things. Respect is EARNED, not an entitlement. I judge everyone on their behavior, not the color of their skin. I think most Americans do, too. The far left only has racism as a defense since they can't debate on policy or economic issues. Just my opinion.
Couldn't have said it better myself Mary.
Cant argue with a broken record it always says the same thing....Race...You do a better job....yadayada, well when the house get's cleaned, look for your toys were they belong, shelved just like all the other antiquated arguments that we hear today.
It's time to clean house in DC,set limits on Terms,Tort reform, and UPHOLD our Constitution,If we are all AMERICANS ,we should agree, this is getting old, Race is a dead horse, I'm a country boy,I know better than to kick a dead...whatever it might be!, regardless of it's color!
Father God I ask you humbly , yet in your power, to cover this thread with the blood you shed on Calvary, remind us as your people and as a nation that You reign and and EVERY knee shall bow to you the ONLY true God.
The enemy would choose to divide, rip, tear and destroy all that is good in this place we call home, America.
Protect us dear Lord and break our hearts.
I weep for those with scales on their hearts and minds.
Pour out your love on all who read this. Amen
Amen
Lol. I agree with Roxanna. I just meant so many people get so angry, but they don't vote, they don't pay attention to what is happening and they do not make informed decisions. They just base every belief off of hearsay. I meant for people who truly see things to fix in the system, run for office! Change them. Make a difference. There is nothing stopping you :)
And yes, respect is earned. I have zero respect for the current president, but I will pay him the honor he deserves as being the most important man in the world.

This goes far beyond respect for the office
I am sure this school 's teachers are big supporters of the teachers union! What would have happened if a school had sang songs of praise for President Bush! Where is the "esteemed" ACLU?
My whole problem with this is that the teacher is clearly using these children as a tool to convey her own feelings and that is just wrong!! The kids are way to young to fully understand what is going on and she is taking full advantage of that. If she wanted to "praise" our esteemed leader she should have done it herself and not put other people's children in the spotlight!! The parents should be outraged!! I know that I would be.
All I can say is... I don't think anyone has ever done this for any other American president. I respect his POSITION as much as any other person, but come on; singing his praises in school? When did school curriculums involve singing any president's praises? What happened to learning who the past presidents were? REALLY? Singing for Obama? I wonder if she's teaching them what each president did for our country.
As hidious as this is, the person was a classmate of Obama's. Her name is Charisse Carney-Nunes. She's is the Senior VP of Programs for far-left organization The James Town Project.
Here is the rest of the story http://www.fireandreamitchell.com/2009/09/23/charisse-carney-nunes-obama-classmate-at-harvard-behind-the-school-kids-taught-to-praise-obama-video/
