Neither is Canada nor is the UK a model for health reform. What's your point? There isn't anything better, and, we shouldn't try? We should scare people into complacency? Horse pucky!
The US system isn't working. Costs are rising at an extraordinary rate. Many go without care. The OECD ranks many nations high above the US on issues like health care.
Moreover, even the Democrats aren't talking about replicating CAN or UK healthcare systems but the many western-European models that are working.
That I or you have no faith in elected representatives' abilities to do the people's business is another matter.
