Romney & Paul top SRLC 2012 Presidential Straw Poll
WRS was the pollster and tabulator for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference 2012 Straw Poll.
Methodology: Only paid, credentialed attendees to the 2010 Southern Republican Leadership Conference were permitted to cast a ballot in the straw poll. The survey questionnaire includes six questions: first choice for 2012 Presidential primary, second choice for primary, resident state, age, and who the respondent supported in the 2008 primary.
If the primary election for president were held today, for whom would you vote?:
Mitt Romney 24% (439)
Ron Paul 24% (438)
Sarah Palin 18% (330)
Newt Gingrich 18% (321)
Mike Huckabee 4%
Tim Pawlenty 3%
Mike Pence 3%
Rick Santorum 2%
Gary Johnson 1%

Mitt Romney gave Massachusetts "Romney care" and Ron Paul is as radical on the Right as Obama is on the Left. Lets be careful what we wish for, we might get it.
