On the Spending Revolt Bus Tour With Herman Cain
by Bill Smith, Editor: I am riding the Spending Revolt Bus Tour across Arkansas. This is the last day in a three day event. Yesterday, we had two key representatives for the sponsors of the bus tour join us. Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America and Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity, both spoke about different aspects of government overspending.
Today, Herman Cain, national conservative radio show host and guest speaker, joined the bus tour. Also known to his friends as the Hermanator, Cain speaks boldly on the issues affecting America. Today, he also broadcast his national show from Arkansas. I had some one-on-one time with Herman and asked him what issues he covered in his radio show and would share today in Newport News and Jonesboro, Arkansas. Below is summary of some of Herman's comments:
1. Another One Bites the Dust - Mike Castle is out. This is just one more example of the citizen movement getting bigger and making more of an impact. The people's voice is returning to politics and the naysayers are being overwhelmed. Even "establishment" Republicans are being forced to take note.
2. In response, the lefties are trying to "marginalize" and "minimize" the truth of what is happening.
3. Obama and his allies are getting ready to promote a "health care blitz" - promoting Obama's lousy heath care bill. What Obama and his administration are doing is "Double Arrogance" First, they pass this bill over the will of the people and now they want to tell us how good the bill is for us.
4. Harry Reid is going to try and pass a $30 Billion aid package for Small Business through the Senate. This bill costs the taxpayers money they don't have and will just create more strings for small business. Reid is also moving forward with a desperate attempt to insert amnesty (the Dream Act) in a defense bill. Once again, Reid inserts an unrelated off-topic issue into a bill which would advance his liberal agenda.
5. Take a piece of paper and write $45,000 on it. This is what every man, women and child owes in America to the national debt. When we can't pay the interest payments, foreign countries are going to stop financing our debt, and the government is going to shut down. Might sound good, but chaos will happen.
