Special Alert Regarding NRSC and Christine O'Donnell

John Cornyn (TX) has announced this morning that the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), will be assisting in Christine O'Donnell's campaign for the Delaware U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Vice President Joe Biden. "I am trying to reach her as soon as possible," Cornyn told Dianne Edmondson of the RNC for Life, "and offer her our full assistance and backing." Cornyn said he has no idea who or why a false statement was leaked to the media last night saying the NRSC would not be backing O'Donnell, and that he is issuing his statement of support through multiple media channels today. He reminded Republicans that the NRSC is fully supporting other "non-Establishment" GOP nominees such as Sharron Angle in Nevada and Joe Miller in Alaska and that O'Donnell will also be fully supported.
O'Donnell, who was endorsed by RNC for Life in the Primary as 100% pro-life, scored an upset victory Tuesday in the Delaware race against the most liberal Republican member of Congress, Mike Castle, Delaware's only Congressman who also was seeking the Republican nomination for the open Senate seat. She also was endorsed by Sen. Jim DeMint, Sarah Palin and the TEA Party movement. This grassroots support, coupled with growing citizen discontent with Washington insiders (such as Castle) powered her to a 53% - 47% victory yesterday.
It will be an uphill battle for O'Donnell in November, and she will need our help to overcome her well-funded Democrat opponent. But in this year of Republican "hope and change," we can help her take this seat in normally "blue" Delaware. She has the grassroots campaign in place and now will have the backing of the national and state GOP. Let's help her have enough campaign funds to offset what is sure to be a massive negative campaign against this solid conservative candidate with Eagle Forum/RNC-Life roots.In this apparently Republican year, one can expect many dirty tricks on the part of the Democrats. Divide and conquer is the oldest political strategy so perhaps it was a Democrat who "leaked" that false rumor! Let's remember that we need to be united in November to hand this huge national defeat to the Democrats.

Here's what Governor Sarah Palin had to say about the elites' panicked response to your movement's latest victory: "... It was the voice of the people, and if we, within the 'GOP machine', are not willing to listen to the voice of the people, and if we're underestimating their wisdom, then we're in for a rude awakening. But some, like [the] RNC's Michael Steele, he came out right away and said this was victory in the hands of the people, I'm going to support Christine O'Donnell, so more power to Michael Steele."
It's so gratifying to have friends like Sarah Palin who recognize that we must shake-up the D.C. establishment if we hope to take our Country back from this elite group of corporate socialists who see your paycheck as their private property.
