"Dominoez" - The Coming Collapse of America
Bill Smith, Editor: In the "yesteryears" we used the term "the domino effect"to illustrate the spreading of communism. Cartoonist William Warren has now used dominoes in his latest political cartoon (below) to depict the coming collapse of the American economy.
Is there anyone "who cares" at the White House or in the Senate Democrat leadership and is also willing to stop or to help mitigate the coming economic collapse of America? Mr. Obama, we do not need anymore campaign rhetoric! The progressive liberals and even a few anarchist from odd political variations may be looking favorably toward the collapse of our country, but the rest of America is not.
Many House Republican have demonstrated their concern. They came to Washington with a clear understanding that they have no promise of returning for another term. They also understand that time is running out for certain problems to be resolved. They know they might be "out on the street" with their follow Americans if the economy collapses. Also, rumors are spreading of fear of a potential dictatorship operating out of the White House in the future if an economic collapse were to occur.
Yesterday, the ARRA News Service posted about 103 House Republicans supporting the the House Republican Study Committee's "Cut, Cap, and Balance” response to the debt limit and the bigger debt crisis that’s just over the horizon. It’s a simple, three-part plan:
Yesterday, the House grassroots Republicans released their; “Cut, Cap, and Balance” proposal which is supported by numerous conservative organizations. Where are the democrats and other republicans? Forget the tabloid journalism over Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). The crisis looming over America is far more important and yes "bigger" (pun intended) than the anatomy and behavior issues of the misguided Rep. Weiner. It is shameful that elected members of Congress, the "lame street" news, and the cable channels, including Fox News, are wasting time and effort on WeinerGate. They were and are taking their eyes off the the real problems as detailed above and illustrated below in William Warren's political cartoon.
By William Warren: "Today my cartoon looks at the debt crisis which is spreading from Europe to the U.S."

- Cut spending to slash the deficit in half next year (requiring about $380 billion in spending cuts according to CBO)
- Cap spending so it aligns with average revenues (ratcheting quickly down to 18% of GDP from current 24%).
- Send a strong Balanced Budget Amendment to the states for ratification (with high hurdle for tax hikes and 18% of GDP spending cap).

I still maintain the the Nobel Prize was the Global Progressives Down Payment to Obama for facilitating the collapse of the American Republic; commonly known as the USA.
Good article, the financial crises must be solved, the US is not Portugal, nobody will bail us out. There need to be deep cuts to government spending to stop the nation from spiraling into bankruptcy. I suspect that some sort of compromise will be required with the Democrats, maybe a tax hike for the rich, probably severe slashing of defense spending, but whatever it takes, the debt must be put under control. America cannot just keep printing money and hope for better days, that is the road to ruin.
Zazu, I am not wealthy, far from it but increasing taxes on the wealthy won’t fix anything. They are already paying 405 of the taxes while the bottom half of our country are paying nothing. Should we not all pay taxes. We all are in this together and get services. It is downright unpatriotic to let 40% of our populace go without paying taxes and yet the libs pander to this group. The all take and no contribution crowd. Kennedy said don’t ask what your country can do for you, but instead ask what you can do for your country. Obama says ask what you country can do for you and don’t expect to do anything for your country.

Well, seems to me:
1. We’re worse off than ever in our history; this will end years from now having outdone the Great Depression.
2. We will have a boatload of already guaranteed misery regardless of any action or inaction by either party. It can’t be prevented; we’re ‘way past that.
3. Neither party has presented any realistic public discussion on dealing with what our politicians have made, though Paul Ryan identified some of the elements…more than others have been willing to face.
4. The Fed has a choice: Reprise 1937 and activate the Greater Depression or hyperinflation.
Politicians holding out hope of escaping calamity via any program whatsoever are whistling Dixie at Sherman in hope that the troops will stay out of town until said politicos have got past their next ellection.
I hate it, but that’s what It looks like here.
I agree with Jack, unfortunately. But not because there is NO way out. There is always a way out. Of any problem. The reason we are doomed is because there are not enough leaders to put their own careers on the line- like Paul Ryan did. They ultimately care more about ‘getting re-elected’ than doing what is right for America. The funny thing is, if they could stop fearing re-election and did their jobs, they would get re-elected, hands down. They miss that irony- or they are too selfish & fearful to understand it. Humans can solve anything. It is the corruption of soul that prevents them from doing it.
My thought is this: buy gold, bank it somewhere else- just in case.
