Pray also for the President of the United States and his team of advisors who must now find out who did this and take action.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV) ~ Erick Erickson, Restate
Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Boston, the victims of the attack and their families as they deal with this despicable act. If someone is looking for a "silver lining" in the midst of the ripped flesh and broken limbs, you can find it in the reaction of the people in the vicinity of the attack. By all accounts, law enforcement, medical personnel and ordinary citizens all rose to the occasion, providing treatment and comfort in the midst of the carnage. ~ Gary Bauer, Campaign for Working Families
"As the Lord leads, please pray: For the first responders, hospital personnel and others who are attending to the wounded. For the families who have lost loved ones, and for the injured. That investigators will rapidly discover the source or reason behind the explosions." ~ Presidential Prayer Team
“Words cannot begin to express our sorrow for the families who are grieving so suddenly right now. The House of Representatives offers its prayers to the victims and the city of Boston. We also give thanks for the professionals and Good Samaritans who prevented further loss of life. This is a terrible day for all Americans, but we will carry on in the American spirit, and come together with grace and strength.” ~ U.S. House Speaker John Boehner
