#BookerFail: Democrat Senate Candidate Cory Booker Sticks With T-Bone Tale; Says He Harbors Drug Dealers All The Time
by Phil Kerpen: With a hat tip to Art Gallagher at More Monmouth Musings, we find Cory Booker — who has spent most of the campaign in hiding or literally running from questions — finally sat down for an interview over the weekend and Michael Aron asked him about his stereotypical black drug dealer character T-Bone.
Not only did Booker try to absurdly claim Rutgers Distinguished Service Professor Clement Price was part of some kind of right-wing conspiracy, but to lend credibility to the T-Bone tale he claimed was true Booker dug himself into an even deeper hole; he now claims he harbored fugitives all the time: not just driving T-Bone out of town while the cops were looking for him but harboring hundreds of fugitives:In the sector of our city with the most shootings … I can name hundreds of guys … lots of drug dealers came to me for help. When I was mayor, when I first started we used to hold meetings for guys who were involved in the narcotics trade in the house I was living in. Literally helping guys, sometimes putting them up with me. Watch:
Now let’s refer to the New Jersey Criminal Code:2C:29-3. Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution. a. A person commits an offense if, with purpose to hinder the detention, apprehension, investigation, prosecution, conviction or punishment of another for an offense or violation of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes or a violation of chapter 33A of Title 17 of the Revised Statutes he:
(1)Harbors or conceals the other;
(2)Provides or aids in providing a weapon, money, transportation, disguise or other means of avoiding discovery or apprehension or effecting escape; The maximum penalty for each count is 10 years in prison. Booker claims he harbored fugitives hundreds of times, and, in the case of the T-Bone story he insists is 100% true, he aided a fugitive in fleeing the city by providing transportation in his car.I still think he’s telling tales (especially because Booker and T-Bone teleport between T-Bone’s car and Booker’s mid-storyin this telling).
But if Cory Booker is telling the truth, he should be prosecuted.
