Slavery Was And Is Widespread. It's Not Confined To Color Or Continent
Definition of Slavery: bondage, servitude, involuntary subjection to another or others. The condition in which one person is owned as property by another or is under complete control, especially in involuntary servitude.
by PL Booth, Contributing Author: Slavery is once again in the public conversation but a lot of history is being ignored. Historically, Blacks haven’t been specifically selected for slavery. Every color and ethnicity has some history of slavery. Western history shows every ethnic group held, or was held, in slavery at one time or another.
The Bible talks of slavery thousands of years ago. Egypt held slaves, both black and white. The Greeks held slaves and enslaved many people during Alexander’s reign. Rome held slaves. China held slaves. The American Indians held slaves. Nearly every tribe held other tribal members as slaves and the Lewis and Clark expedition wrote about it. Today, Islam still endorses and practices slavery.
There are different forms of slavery, physical, political, fiscal, mental, and sexual. The British Empire outlawed physical slavery at the beginning of the nineteenth century which led to an American Civil War wherein slavery here was outlawed as well. The freedom movement led to the French revolution wherein the peasants revolted, the dissolution of the British Empire and the Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, and Caribbean revolutions.
Germany accepted Hitler in part because the people felt they were being held in fiscal slavery that was impoverishing them after WW I. The Russians fought a civil war and the Communists won ensuring the slavery of millions for 75 years. Communist slavery exists in several countries today, N. Korea, China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam to name a few.
Conservatives are fighting for their political liberty in America today as the Democrat Party has become the American socialist party complete with a President who was raised, educated, and supported by communists his entire life. Obama wishes to impose his socialist political will upon America which is but another form of slavery.
When a person comes under the complete control of another, fiscally, politically, or even when said person voluntarily subjugates themselves to another’s will, that is slavery. Sexual slavery is widespread. Boys and girls are subjugated to the sexual use of perverts and the homosexual movement grows by teaching sexual perversions are normal, natural, and even desirable.
America owes no one restitution as all colors and nationalities have been just as guilty of enslavement as any and all others. The only differences have been times and places. Millions of Americans have died for Liberty worldwide. There lies our restitution.
