Cain's Checklist for Presidential Candidates
by Herman Cain: And now there are four!
As the announced presidential candidates continue to grow in number, it's going to be harder and harder for Main Street folks like us to keep up with the similarities and the differences. This is even more difficult because of the media's uncontrollable impulse to define each candidate based on labels, sound bites, and perceptions they want to create.
The media tends to highlight unimportant differences amongst the candidates of the same political party, and explode differences between candidates from opposing parties. This is a distraction tactic to keep you confused.
As a result, we have non-voters, dumb voters, single-issue voters, personality voters, identity politics voters and informed voters. Unfortunately, the truly informed voters are the smallest group. This is because people don't have a lot of time to become truly informed, so they depend on their most frequently watched or listened to media source to influence their voting decisions.
That's why we continue to get "less bad" leaders in the White House.
Our objective on my radio show and this literary space is to help you be a more informed voter with the facts and the truth, so as Honest Abe said over 155 years ago, you will make better decisions.
Better decisions by better informed voters will lead to a better America!
Thus, introducing, Cain's Checklist for Presidential Candidates!
It is intended to give you a conceptual overview of the candidates and save you time as we try to save the savable. Yes, some of it is based on my perspective for simplicity sake. But you can trust me and my producers and writers, or you can depend on some liberal wackos. This is America, it's your choice.
Cain's Checklist for Presidential Candidates:
As the campaigns progress, the Announcement Vision for each candidate will not change. It's their philosophical proclamation of what the nation could be if they are elected president.
How the candidates articulate the substance of their vision could change their grade as we learn more specifics about their priorities and focus, which are key leadership characteristics, namely, working on the right problems!
But the media-induced perception will be all over the place! We will sort out the unimportant stuff from the important stuff to help prevent distractions. If those grenades are materially significant, then we will update the checklist accordingly. We might also have to modify the checklist as things unfold, but always being mindful of simplicity.
We will also add additional candidates as they are officially announced. Until they are in the race, they are not in the race.
It's going to be a wild ride, I've been there! Stay tuned!
