Gun-Hating Allies In Congress Unveil H.R. 2546
They just unveiled a new bill (H.R. 2546 - Firearm Risk Protection Act of 2015) that would force YOU to buy government-mandated liability insurance before you would be allowed to purchase a firearm. [Editor note: Sponsors are: Reps. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY-12), Stephen F. Lynch (D-MA-8), Niki Tsongas (D-MA-3), Katherine M. Clark (D-MA-5), and Raul M. Grijalva (D-AZ-3)]
And if you can't afford this expensive new insurance mandate?
You might as well call it "Obamacare for Gun Owners."
Obama's pals are all over the media right now, peddling the OUTRIGHT LIE that this crippling new insurance mandate is needed because YOU can't be trusted to be a safe gun owner.
It has EVERYTHING to do with making it as expensive and difficult as possible for YOU to exercise your Second Amendment rights. It would also create a de facto registry of every law-abiding gun owner in America.
Just ask yourself...
Do you want an insurance broker to visit your home and catalog every serial number of every gun you own? Do you want the Obama administration picking through that database like it does with your phone records?
NRA-ILA is going to the wall to STOP this latest attack on our gun rights, but we need YOUR HELP NOW. Please, go here to write your U.S. Representative and tell him or her to publicly and forcefully oppose H.R. 2546. Your Congressman needs to hear from you!
