March 22, 2016 Republican Presidential Primary Results
ARRA News Service: For Republican presidential candidates, yesterday, two primary election primary/caucuses offered up different results. However, Donald Trump again advanced his over-all delegate count.
While Ted Cruz gained delegates, he also continued his messaging (albet weak) complaining that other suspended candidates should not be receiving delegates and expressing his belief that these votes would have been for him.
As for the Democrat primaries, Hillary Clinton continuing her march toward the Democrat nomination.
Although adjustments/ corrections can still be made by the states, the following results in order of races declared by the media are as follows:
Arizona
Trump 249,839 47.10% All 58 Delegates
Cruz, 131,968 24.88%
Rubio 70,551 13.30% (Previously Suspended campaign but beat Kasich)
Kasich 53,027 10.00%
Utah Precinct Caucuses
Cruz 122,096 69.16% All 40 Delegates
Kasich 29,669 16.81%
Trump 24,779 14.04%
American Samoa Territorial Caucus 9 Delegates Uncommited.
Delegate Count for GOP (per The Green Papers):
The Republican Convention has total of 2,472 delegates with 1,237 needed to nominate.
D Trump - 752 delegates
R Cruz - 463
J Kasich - 144
Uncommitted - 31
Suspended Campaigns:
M Rubio - 178
B Carson - 8
J Bush - 4
C Fiorina - 1
M Huckabee - 1
R Paul - 1
