The Photo You Did Not See From Cleveland:
by Star Parker: Here's a photo from Cleveland that you did not see in the media:
Neighboring Indiana sent 100 state troopers to help police in Cleveland. In this photo, taken on the street by my good friend Bob Adams, is a trooper playing with black kids -- the type of relationship many African Americans have around the police. But the media and Black Lives Matter do not want you to see these images.
I'm tired of hearing that young black men are shot by police, then the media repeats Black Lives Matter's press releases that it was because they were black, only to discover that there was cause or it was inconclusive in nearly all of these situations.
Remember, even Obama's Justice Department couldn't find anything to pin on the officer who killed 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson. Yet, Michael Brown -- who had just robbed a store and assaulted a clerk five minutes before he was stopped by the police -- became a rallying cry for leftist activists in the media. Democrats even plan to have his grieving mother speak at their convention next week!
I don't want our young black men shot in the street by anybody, but instead of reflecting why our young men choose a life of crime, these VERY sad situations are hijacked by activists paid for by billionaires like George Soros to split our country by race -- and it works!
Here's how we can fight back: we must build the opposition to Black Lives Matter that will tie the relationship between marriage and crime. No one knows this more than our pastors, especially black pastors who are the glue in black communities. That's why CURE's pastor network is the conservative response to Black Lives Matter.
Our pastors know, like you and I, that most young men are socialized by the women they marry.
Even in the Jim Crow era we never saw violent crime like this. That's because in the 1960s, the black out-of-wedlock birth rate was 33 percent! Today, the black out-of-wedlock birth rate is 76 percent!
We need our pastors to publicly make the marriage connection because progressives will continue to use race to divide us until more Americans know their lies! Until our boys are raised by men to respect police, earn an education, work for a living, and get married and have kids (in that order), crime in the African American community will NOT go down. This leaves our freedom vulnerable to race-baiters like George Soros and Al Sharpton.
Only CURE can make this connection and we do this every day across the country in black communities because of the support from people like you who love freedom.
Friend, imagine when the next Ferguson or Baltimore happens -- and, sadly, it will happen -- and we have pastors across the country who will stand up to give a voice of reason, support and tell the media to wait for answers before they accept the conclusion of Black Lives Matter. CURE can make this happen with your financial support.
We have so much work to do as we organize and teach pastors. I am proud to march shoulder-to-shoulder with you to protect our country!
Your foot-soldier for freedom!
