ObamaCare, HillaryCare . . . They Don't Care
It's awful for you, but they're getting what they've been after all along.
by Herman Cain: Many voters don't remember the failed predecessor of ObamaCare. It was called HillaryCare in the early 1990s. Hillary Clinton was an unelected, non-official put in charge of a commission to design a plan to hijack the U.S. health care system. It failed when the public found out what was in it and pressured the Senate to abandon it, which they did.
In 2009, President Obama, then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoved ObamaCare down the throats of the American people. They did it by lying to the American people about insurance premiums going down, and lying about people being able to keep their preferred doctors and health insurance providers.
Today, ObamaCare is a disaster. Health insurance premiums have increased dramatically for most people, choice of doctors is gone, prescription drug costs for people have gone up exponentially, and many of the ObamaCare exchanges have shut down or gone bankrupt.
They think we're stupid.
The Democrats in Congress are now proposing a “single payer” public option to assist ObamaCare with its troubles, and they want us to once again believe they are doing us a favor. We are not stupid.
The Democrats are trying to prop up a failed system, having already destroyed a system of health care and health insurance that worked, with one that eventually puts the federal government totally in control of both.
To make matters worse, the ObamaCare legislation included a bailout on profits for the insurance companies called "risk corridors", which are not collecting enough money from the profitable insurance companies to cover the loses of the unprofitable insurance companies.
Maybe this is why Nancy Pelosi said, "We have to pass it so you can find out what's in it." Well Nancy, y'all screwed us again!
Why? They don't care!
They don't care about the impact on real people if they can achieve their political objective, which is to control our lives from cradle to grave. They don't care that ObamaCare is a tax increase, and it adds to the national debt of $20 trillion.
The Democrats don't care that they made a mistake with ObamaCare, because they know the liberal media will help them cover up the crime by not talking about it, or trying to put a positive spin on it to fit their political narrative.
The Democrats don't care that people will die because they can't get treatment soon enough, or that people will not buy some of their prescriptions because their out-of-pocket costs have become prohibitive. They are choosing to pay for food and shelter first. That's not a choice they used to have to make before ObamaCare.
Some blind Democrats will never wake up. But there are enough people with common sense who will wake up. Hillary Clinton is a part of this crime on its citizens. If you want more of the same, Hillary Clinton will deliver.
I'm voting for Donald Trump.
