Warren's Terrible Day, Another Caravan, The Intolerant Left

So she took a secret DNA test. I call it "secret" because she didn't tell anyone she was doing it until after she got the results. That seems just a bit revealing to me.
Lo and behold, the results are in. It turns out Warren is about 1/64 to 1/1024 Native American going back between six and ten generations. According to The Daily Caller, "This means Warren is somewhere between 0.09 and 1.5 percent Native American."
But wait. . . There's more.
The company that conducts the tests cannot differentiate between different kinds of Native American DNA. In other words, the test doesn't tell us whether Warren is actually part Cherokee. She could be part Incan.
But wait. . . There's even more.
It turns out that the average Caucasian in America has a higher percentage of Native American DNA than Warren does. Donald Trump may well be more Native American than she is.
The Cherokee Nation has had enough of this nonsense. It issued a scathing statement which said:
"A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. . . Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens. . . Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."
Here's why this matters: It's all about the left's obsession with identity politics and its constant efforts to denigrate America. Warren has developed a well-rehearsed story about how racist American society is because her mother was supposedly part Cherokee.
Warren also used this claim to get a cushy job at Harvard Law School. The university claimed that she was the "first woman of color" hired by Harvard Law. But as we now know, they still did not have a woman of color on staff when they hired her.
But it is still good enough for the left because you don't have to actually be a woman to claim you are a woman. So, if Warren claims that she feels like a Cherokee, who are we to challenge "her truth"?
Halloween parties on university campuses have become a virtual minefield. Students are warned not to dress up as Native Americans because that is "cultural appropriation," an identity politics no-no.
But what do you call it when a woman who has 0.09 Native American blood "dresses up" as a Native American woman for the sake of advancing her career?
Nevertheless, Warren is demanding the $1 million from Trump. Trump says no way. I think there is a compromise: Trump could give Warren a check equal to the percentage of her Native American DNA -- $900.
Another Caravan - Another caravan of women and children recently left Honduras headed for the U.S. southern border. According to Reuters, the caravan of approximately 3,000 migrants has doubled in size since Saturday. It is now being called the "March of the Migrant."
Coincidentally, it is expected to arrive during the closing days of the election. I would bet my house that it is being funded by George Soros or some other left-wing mega-donor. They believe it puts the president in a no-win situation.
Under current law, if migrants show up at a port of entry claiming refugee status for whatever reason, the law requires us to take them in, assign them a court date and then release them. The reason they have to be released is because children cannot be held for more than 20 days in detention centers.
When the Trump Administration enforced the law that has been on the books for years and separated children from their parents in the detention facilities, Democrats, parts of the GOP establishment and even some Christian leaders rebelled.
So we're back to the prevailing policy of "catch and release," which is not a deterrent to illegal immigration. Thus, the new caravan is now headed north.
Consider Andrea Fernandez, 24, who was interviewed by Reuters. She told reporters, "We're going to drop in on Donald Trump. He has to take us in." She's coming with a newborn baby, a 5-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.
If Trump turns them away or separates families, the media will be harping on this issue non-stop. It may offend suburban women. If the administration is forced to admit them, it could well demoralize the president's base.
I think there is also a chance the issue could backfire on the left.
Ms. Fernandez thinks we have to take her in because that is the message the left is sending when it refuses to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws or calls for ICE to be abolished.
But the open borders agenda is deeply unpopular with the American people. In fact, Democrat candidates have been told to change the subject whenever it comes up.
America is a generous and welcoming country. But we have every right to insist that people who want to come here follow the law and do not simply attempt to "march" on our borders. That is an invasion.
At a State Department conference last week, Vice President Mike Pence told Central American leaders, "If you do more [on illegal immigration], I'm here to say on behalf of the president of the United States and the American people, we'll do more [on economic development]."
Today, President Trump put it more bluntly, tweeting, "If the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!"
The Intolerant Left - Mark Salvas is the latest victim of the left's intolerance.
A Marine and veteran of the Gulf War, Salvas posted on his Facebook page, "I stand for the flag, I kneel at the cross."
His wife also posted a message of support for a police officer involved in a shooting incident. The officer happens to be a life-long family friend.
As a result of these posts, Salvas was forced to resign his position as executive director of the Allegheny County Democrat Party in Pennsylvania.
Seriously. You can't make this stuff up.
Salvas is sticking with the Democrat Party for now. But millions of people who love God and Country have had it with the left's intolerance. As much as anything else, this is why Donald Trump won the 2016 election.
Patriotism, law and order, a belief in God -- these are fundamental values that used to unite us as Americans. Sadly, the left is attacking every one. The left -- not Donald Trump -- is dividing America.
I grew up in a community of staunch blue collar Democrats. They were hard-working people who loved America and who appreciated the police officers who went out on the mean streets every day. They would not recognize today's Democrat Party.
There are still millions of good and decent men and women who are registered Democrats. But the national party is being hijacked by left-wing radical socialists.
