"Liberty Counsel is petitioning the high court to review the New Jersey lawsuit King v. Christie, a case that upheld a ban on [viewpoint orientation] change counseling and which Liberty Counsel says the court [repealed] last year by name.
"Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver tells OneNewsNow the Supreme Court mentioned the case when the justices reviewed NIFLA v Becerra, a California case challenging that state's controversial law that clamped down on crisis pregnancy centers.
"A second case, Pickup v Brown, was also cited by the court, Staver says.
"These were the first two change counsel cases that both went the wrong way [in lower courts] against our arguments," Staver says, "and last year the United States Supreme Court abrogated [reversed] both of them expressly by name.
"Liberty Counsel attempted to have lower courts reopen these cases and set the rulings aside but that request was denied.
"They have refused so far to do so," he says. "So we have asked the United States Supreme Court to do just that, and we're going to do the same thing with the other case out of California, the Pickup case in the near future.
"Liberty Counsel expects a response from the Supreme Court by the end of June."
It's clearly unconstitutional to ban private speech in a counseling session, especially if that speech helps someone return to God. Reparative therapy has helped countless people come to faith in Jesus Christ, and you can't ban consensual talk about religious freedom.
Speaker Pelosi makes Co-Ed Bathrooms her Top Priority
"House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat who represents San Francisco in the U.S. House of Representatives, is now the Speaker of the House."
Pelosi has vowed a 'low bill number' as top priority to punish Christian business owners if they refuse to allow co-ed bathrooms to transgenders in all public places (including churches) with NO religious exemptions.
"House Democrats are making promises to the LGBTQ community," reports CBN.
"Officials say they will prioritize anti-discrimination legislation that would establish widespread equal rights protections for LGBTQ individuals.
"Minority leader Nancy Pelosi said she would introduce the 'Equality Act' as one of her first orders of business.
"The act would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which already bars discrimination on the bases of race, color, sex, religion, and nationality. The Equality Act would expand those protections beyond the workplace. The bill would prohibit [trans]gender discrimination in retail shops, restaurants, health care, and social services, housing, applying for a loan, or participating in the jury selection process.
"Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill told The News Tribune the legislation will be given a 'low bill number,' meaning it will be one of the first issues addressed by Congress ... in November.
"The House bill has 198 co-sponsors, including two Republicans [who lost their seats]. However, no Senate Republicans have officially backed it. If passed by Congress, President Donald Trump would [be asked] to sign it into law."
For nine years I've been warning about this bad law, which now coming fast across YOUR Congressman's desk. We have GOT to petition Congress, and your voice is the only thing keeping some Republicans from joining Pelosi's effort to punish Christian Business owners if they don't open their bathrooms.
Friends, their version of tolerance now requires bankrupting Christian employers, or any public restaurant or retail store that refuses men full access to women's bathrooms. We must take action to stop ENDA from becoming law.
