Continuing Russian Meddling

by Dr. Jack Sternberg, Contributing Author: Let’s accept as fact that Russia has by social media and electronically meddled in the 2016 election. Why should that surprise anyone? From the beginning of the then Soviet Union, they have been trying to destroy America from within. It is beyond dispute that they have over the decades infiltrated innumerable American organizations and have secretly and cunningly pushed their agenda upon gullible American idealists. It is alleged that Lenin called these people, “Useful Idiots” (a derogatory term for a person perceived as a propagandist for a cause of whose goals they are not fully aware and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause). "Lenin is widely credited with the prediction that liberals and other weak-minded souls in the West could be relied upon to be 'useful idiots' as far as the Soviet Union was concerned." (Wikipedia)

If one accepts the above statements (and of course, those fooled won’t see themselves), then it is logical to assume that Russia will continue to attempt to influence Americans with their “Socialistic/Communistic” ideology. Americans will continue to be duped into thinking they are being enlightened and compassionate when all the while they are doing Russia’s bidding to fundamentally change America.

Russia has always infiltrated American organizations and surreptitiously influenced them. Do you really think Black Lives Matters and The Me Too Movement are purely American idealists? Even a better example is Antifa’s violence and how conservative speakers aren’t allowed to speak on campuses and their First Amendment rights denied. Ask yourself, are all the nationwide marches by progressive organizations and different causes really “spontaneous?” I believe they’re just too organized to not have some larger influential organization behind them such as Russia.

If you need further proof that Russia continues to meddle and influence American politics, just look at the rapid rise of the “Democratic Socialist” party of America. Consider the meteoric rise of previously obscure Senator Bernie Sanders and its new and even more radical candidate Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. Her platform includes Medicare For All, Free College and Trade Schools, Universal Jobs and Income Guarantees, Open Borders, End the War on Drugs and End ICE and many more Socialistic concepts. She promotes Socialism unabashedly for America.

In conclusion, instead of concentrating on what meddling happened in 2016 (which everyone agrees didn’t change the election), I believe we should be vigorously investigating what influence Russia is having right now across America and for the 2018 election

And here’s the final question to ponder: “Is the increasing polarization and nastiness in politics and increasing anger and violence among people really just a natural outcome of disagreement or has it been exploited by an unseen propaganda machine (country) who has meddled in America’s affairs for the last 100 years? You decide!
