Arkansas: Thirty Groups, Eighty-Nine Public Officials Oppose Marijuana Issue 6

by Jon Gilmore: On Friday Arkansans Against Legalized Marijuana held a press conference regarding widespread opposition to marijuana ballot Issue 6.

The group identified thirty separate organizations and eighty-nine public officials who have come out against Issue 6. Arkansans Against Legalized Marijuana noted that opposition to marijuana in Arkansas cuts across political party lines, industries, and professions.

Prominent opponents of Issue 6 identified by the group include Governor Asa Hutchinson; Arkansas Surgeon General Dr. Greg Bledsoe; Arkansas Children’s Hospital; Arkansas Heart Hospital; the Arkansas Medical Society; the Arkansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics; Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families; Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation; and Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.

Most of the organizations identified at the press conference are not members of Arkansans Against Legalized Marijuana, but have issued statements in opposition to Issue 6.

Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Randy Zook said, “The State Chamber is opposed to Issue 6 because it is promoting marijuana as medicine, which it is not. Further, using a vote of the people to make marijuana medicine is not the correct process. Issue 6’s anti-discrimination clauses will put employers in an unclear environment that will most certainly result in lawsuits, while reducing the safety and productivity of the workplace and available workforce.”

Bo Ryall, President and CEO of the Arkansas Hospital Association, said, “The Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) opposes ballot Issue 6 on marijuana, and has joined the coalition Arkansans Against Legalized Marijuana. This ballot initiative is disguised as ‘medical marijuana,’ but ultimately allows the legalization of marijuana for recreational use. As an association of medical providers and employers, we oppose Issue 6.”

Family Council Action Committee President Jerry Cox said, “These so-called ‘medical marijuana’ ballot measures are nothing more than recreational marijuana masquerading as medicine. Anyone with pain or nausea can qualify to smoke marijuana without a prescription. Drug addiction will plague our children and grandchildren if so-called ‘medical marijuana’ becomes legal.”

Kevin Russell of Coalition for Safe Arkansas Communities said, “Marijuana Issue 6 is extremely dangerous because it's the wolf in sheep's clothing. It is a constitutional amendment that will be nearly impossible to change or place safeguards on to help protect our communities and children. It is financed by big industry backers looking to profit off of our most vulnerable and it is overseen by the Alcohol Beverage Control board, which has absolutely nothing to do with anything remotely medical.”

Larry Page with Arkansas Committee for Ethics Policy said, “Smoked and ingested marijuana is not legitimate medicine. If there are some valid medical applications for components of marijuana, then medical science needs to do the requisite research, extract those components, and develop bona fide medicine for which quality can be assured, dosages can be measured, prescriptions can be issued, and pharmacies can dispense. Get the science right -- and then we can get the law right.”

Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation issued a statement, saying, “Farm Bureau's current policy is against Issue 6 due to many reasons, such as the potential abuse the amendment would cause. Allowing ‘pain’ opens it up to basically recreational marijuana and this leads to additional stress to our communities, public safety, and government expense.”

Bigger than Hillary Clinton: The Establishment Cesspool of Dishonesty and Corruption

by Newt Gingrich: If you are as surprised as I am at the depth of dishonesty and corruption that has been revealed in this campaign, then you will understand why I am writing this particular column the weekend before the election.

Americans are faced with a crisis of dishonesty and corruption vastly bigger and deeper than Secretary Hillary Clinton. Defeating her is necessary if we hope to clean up our dishonest and corrupt capitol city, but in many ways Hillary is merely the most prominent face in an entire network of dishonest people.

I have been actively involved in politics and government since August of 1958.

In all those years, nothing prepared me for the avalanche of blatant corruption and dishonesty that has been exposed and detailed during this campaign.

The dishonesty infects the news media, the Justice Department, the IRS, the Veterans Administration, the State Department, and the White House, among others.

From lying about Benghazi, to lying about the Affordable Care Act, lying about the payments to Iran, lying about corruption, incompetence, dishonesty and failure at the Veterans Administration–the pervasive willingness to lie infects our government.

Secretary Clinton’s dishonesty has been breathtaking in its brazen contempt for the American people. She has mastered the art of memorizing lies and then repeating them with such arrogance and assertiveness that she almost convinces you, even when you know everything she is saying is false.

Now with the various Wikileaks, court-ordered disclosures and hard work by a small number of reporters (especially at Fox News and the Wall Street Journal) we have learned that Hillary’s mendacity is merely the most public in a network of corruption and dishonesty so pervasive it can only be described as a cesspool that threatens the entire American system.

One of the greatest dangers to our entire system of self-government under the laws has been the growth in foreign influence seeking to buy control of American policies and actions.

Our Founding Fathers were vividly aware of the danger of foreign money and influence-seeking to control our politics and our government. In fact, they wrote a prohibition against foreign influence buying into the Constitution.Article I, Section 9 says, “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”“Emolument” is a fancy word for payment.

Congress has implemented this ban through the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act, which specifically prohibits spouses of public officials from receiving payments linked to foreign governments. Thus, during the eight years Hillary was in the Senate and the four years she was Secretary of State, every foreign government payment to President Bill Clinton or to the Clinton Foundation was expressly prohibited by the Constitution and by federal law.

Why were the Founding Fathers 229 years ago worried that people like the Clintons would introduce foreign corruption?

First, they had lived through the corruption of the British government, and rebelled against it. As Gordon Wood has described authoritatively, the Americans embraced the Whig critique of and hostility to corruption. Their passion for limited government was in part driven by the depth of their hostility toward government corruption.

Decades before Lord Acton warned that “power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” the Founding Fathers were designing a constitution to enforce the law and limit dishonesty and corruption.

Second, many of the Founding Fathers had read Roman and Greek history. They had a profound sense of the degree to which corruption destroyed liberty and the rule of law leading to dictatorship and tyranny.

If you read Colleen McCullough’s magnificent novels about the fall of the Roman Republic and the rise of Caesar you will see sobering parallels.

Volume one is called The First Man in Rome. Already, in that first book (set around 100 B.C.), foreign rulers had learned that the Roman Senate had grown corrupt and could be bribed. The cancer of dishonesty was growing throughout the Roman power structure.

McCullough would have understood the Clintons and the cesspool of corruption they live in and preside over.

Donald Trump says he will drain the swamp.

We all need to understand how big a job and how great a struggle that will be.

President John Adams warned:We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.We are now testing the capacity of America to survive immoral, dishonest corrupt leaders and a network of corruption that is pervasive and frighteningly powerful.

If, in John Dean’s words, The Watergate cover-up was a “cancer on the Presidency,” then the scale and influence of today’s dishonesty and corruption is a cancer threatening the very survival of the rule of law and the American system of self government.

Lincoln, seeking to prevail in a crisis of the Republic, went to Gettysburg and rallied the American people with these words:It is for us the living…to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.Now it is our turn to rededicate ourselves to the same cause–to reject the pervasive dishonesty and corruption that threatens our system and our institutions, and to return once again to a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

That is how important next Tuesday is.

Terror Warning, New Emails, Hillary's Chutzpah, Good News, A Message To Values Voters

by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author:  Terror Warning - CBS News reported this morning that U.S. intelligence officials are on high alert for possible terrorist attacks. While officials are still assessing the information, it was evidently specific enough to include who, where and when.

According to CBS, Al Qaeda may be planning terrorist attacks in New York, Texas and Virginia on Monday -- the day before the election.

This threat is more evidence that the danger to our homeland from radical Islamic terrorism remains high. We need a strong leader who will take the necessary steps to secure our country, not weak leaders who are afraid to name the enemy.

New Emails - There was breaking news late last night that the FBI has in fact discovered NEW Clinton State Department emails on Anthony Weiner's laptop. We don't know much about them at this point, beyond the fact that they "are not duplicates of emails found on Secretary Clinton's private server."

This latest revelation once again calls into question everything Hillary Clinton has ever said. She repeatedly promised the American people that everything work related was turned over. Only yoga plans and wedding pictures were deleted.

My friends, we have no idea where this investigation is ultimately headed. We have no idea the full extent of her corruption and the degree to which she compromised national security. Given these facts, it is inconceivable that she is even a serious candidate for the White House.

Stoking Racial Tensions - Barack Obama was in North Carolina yesterday campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Hoping to rally black voters, Obama said this: "If you accept the support of Klan sympathizers -- the Klan -- and hesitate when asked about that support, then you'll tolerate that support when you're in office."

What a disgusting smear! Donald Trump has repeatedly denounced the KKK and David Duke. Moreover, Trump is aggressively courting the support of black voters
Obama's attack is just another scare tactic because he and Hillary can't run on the issues.

The economy is stagnant. Today's jobs figures fell below expectations. Obamacare is collapsing.

Our borders are wide open.

Americans overwhelmingly feel the country is headed in the wrong direction, and they are right.

We can't afford four more years of the same failed left-wing policies!

But Obama's pandering to racial fears is even more outrageous given that under his leadership most Americans believe race relations have gotten worse. Sadly, they are right.

Hillary's Chutzpah - Hillary Clinton was also campaigning in North Carolina yesterday and, predictably, she continued Obama's theme that Trump is a bigot. Clinton said, "If [Trump] doesn't respect all Americans, how can we trust him to serve all Americans?"

Talk about chutzpah! This is the woman who called Trump voters "deplorable" and "irredeemable."

Skip The Translation - The Clinton campaign continued its racial pandering this week, sending Senator Tim Kaine to Phoenix, Arizona, where he delivered a campaign speech entirely in Spanish.

That may play well with some parts of the left-wing fringe, but more than 80% of Americans believe English should be America's official language.

I don't speak Spanish, so I have no idea what Senator Kaine said. But it doesn't really matter. Perhaps liberalism sounds better in a foreign language, but in practice it is still just as bad!

And that is one reason why so many Spanish speaking immigrants are fleeing corrupt, left-wing countries south of the border. Cuba and Venezuela aren't exactly models of success and prosperity.

  • Four polls show New Hampshire is moving toward the Trump/Pence ticket. Four years ago, Obama carried New Hampshire by six points.
  • Three polls show Nevada is another state Obama carried by six points, moving toward the Trump/Pence ticket.
  • A University of Denver poll released Wednesday found the race in Colorado is tied.
  • The latest Pennsylvania poll finds Hillary leading by just two points, well within the margin of error.
  • Author Joel Rosenberg announced that he is voting for Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
  • The latest Rasmussen poll finds a significant enthusiasm advantage for Trump. Among voters who are certain about their decision, Trump leads 53% to 43%.
  • A recent analysis examined whether there may be a polling phenomenon of "shy Trump voters." It tested this theory by conducting polls online and with a live caller. Here's what it discovered: "In phone interviews, likely voters with a college degree said they support Clinton by a 21-point margin, 60 percent to 39 percent. But online [where voters could not be identified], that margin shrunk to just 7 points, 53 percent to 46 percent.

    "Similarly, among likely voters in households earning more than $50,000 annually, Clinton leads by 10 points over the phone, 54 percent to 44 percent. The candidates run neck-and-neck among these voters online, however: 50 percent for Trump, and 49 percent for Clinton."

Huma Abedin said to be cooperating with investigators

WND Report: Citing a “well-placed source” in the New York Police Department, Blackwater USA founder and retired Navy SEAL Erik Prince claims that among the 650,000 Huma Abedin emails on her estranged husband’s laptop is evidence Hillary Clinton, as well as former President Bill Clinton, was a visitor to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean hideaway, known as “Orgy Island.”

Prince told the Breitbart News Daily radio show that Abedin and her estranged husband, former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner, are now cooperating with authorities in multiple investigations of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“They found State Department emails,” he said of FBI investigators. “They found a lot of other really damning criminal information, including money laundering, including the fact that Hillary went to this sex island with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton went there more than 20 times. Hillary Clinton went there at least six times.”

In May, FoxNews.com reported Bill Clinton was a much more frequent flyer on Epstein’s infamous Boeing 727 “Lolita Express” jet than previously reported.

Flight logs show he took at least 26 trips and apparently even ditched his Secret Service detail for at least five of the flights. The manifests for the trips, between 2001 and 2003, identified fellow passengers by their initials or first names, including “Tatiana.” The jet was reportedly outfitted with a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls.

FoxNews.com reported in July that attorneys for Epstein touted his close friendship with Bill Clinton and even claimed the billionaire helped start the Clinton Global Initiative.

Emails that surfaced in August showed famed defense attorney Roy Black was deemed too controversial to host an event for President Obama because he represented Epstein against charges of trafficking nearly three-dozen underage girls for sex for himself and his powerful friends. Black and co-counsel Alan Dershowitz were able to secure a deal in 2008 in which Epstein pleaded guilty to only one count related to prostitution with a minor. Epstein registered as a sex offender and served, partly in home detention, just 13 months of a 19-month sentence.

Meanwhile, in a bizarre twist, Wikileaks published Friday an email inviting Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, to a “spirit cooking dinner” hosted by performance artist Marina Abramovic, which features an occult ritual created by Satanist Aleister Crowley.

A tweet from WikiLeaks’ Twitter account hinted there is far more to the story: “The Podestas’ ‘Spirit Cooking’ dinner? It’s not what you think. It’s blood, sperm and breastmilk. But mostly blood. http://wearechange.org/spirit-cooking-disturbing-podesta-email-yet-warning-graphic-content/ …” [ Link not hyperlinked -- Warning this link has Graphic Content]

John Podesta’s brother, Tony Podesta, forwarded the June 28, 2015, email in which Abramovic wrote: “I am so looking forward to the Spirit Cooking dinner at my place. Do you think you will be able to let me know if your brother is joining? All my love, Marina.”

Tony Podesta wrote to his brother, above the forwarded email: “Are you in NYC Thursday July 9 Marina wants you to come to dinner.”

In another tweet regarding the exchange, WikiLeaks commented: “Tony Podesta. By Day, mild mannered Foreign Agent for Saudi Arabia. By night, Spirit Cooker.”

Abramovic was touted in New York Magazine as “the world’s most famous performance artist.” She has published a new memoir, “Walk Through Walls,” and appeared in a video with rapper Jay Z, who is campaigning for Hillary Clinton tonight in Ohio.

‘So disgusting’
Prince said the NYPD wanted to do a press conference announcing the warrants and the additional arrests they were making in the Weiner investigation but received “huge pushback” from the Justice Department.

“The amount of garbage that they found in these emails, of criminal activity by Hillary, by her immediate circle, and even by other Democratic members of Congress was so disgusting they gave it to the FBI, and they said, ‘We’re going to go public with this if you don’t reopen the investigation and you don’t do the right thing with timely indictments,’” Prince told Breitbart News Daily.

Abedin, who has been at Hillary Clinton’s side throughout the 2016 campaign, was immediately removed from the campaign trail after FBI Director James Comey informed Congress last Friday of the discovery of the 650,000 emails and the decision to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information.

Abedin appeared for the first time on behalf of Clinton since last Friday at a fundraiser Thursday night in Washington, D.C., CBS News reported.

Clinton campaign aides confirmed to CBS she was working from the campaign’s Brooklyn headquarters this week.

Report: Emails on Abedin Computer Are NOT Duplicates

PJ Media News: CBS News is reporting that the newly discovered emails on Huma Abedin and disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner's laptop are not duplicates of the emails Hillary Clinton had previously turned over to government officials.A U.S. official told CBS News that the emails are not duplicates of documents previously reviewed during the investigation into Clinton's private email server. They were reportedly found on the computer of Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin.

It is unclear how many new relevant documents were retrieved from the computer and how significant they are to the investigation.
Clinton had previously said that she had turned over all relevant emails from her unsecured email server used to conduct government business and housed in the basement of New York house.

News of the recently discovered emails broke when FBI director James Comey sent a letter to Congress informing them that 650,000 emails were found during a federal probe of an alleged underage sex situation involving Weiner, when agents were examining Weiner's computer.

Castro and Che Guevara's KGB-trained secret police had found her guilty of feeding and hiding “bandits” (Cuban rednecks who took up arms to fight the Stalinist theft of their land to build Soviet–style Kolkhozes.) When the blast from Castroite firing squad demolished her face and torso Juana was six months pregnant.

“They started by beating us with twisted coils of electric cable,” recalls former Cuba political prisoner Ezperanza Pena from exile today. “I remember Teresita on the ground with all her lower ribs broken. Gladys had both her arms broken. Doris had her face cut up so badly from the beatings that when she tried to drink, water would pour out of her lacerated cheeks.”

“On Mother’s Day they allowed family visits,” recalls Manuela Calvo from exile today.” But as our mothers and sons and daughters were watching, we were beaten with rubber hoses and high-pressure hoses were turned on us, knocking all of us the ground floor and rolling us around as the guards laughed and our loved-ones screamed helplessly.”

“When female guards couldn’t handle us male guards were called in for more brutal beatings. I saw teen-aged girls beaten savagely, their bones broken, their mouths bleeding,” recalls Polita Grau.

Thousands upon thousands of Cuban women have also drowned, died of thirst or have been eaten alive by sharks attempting to flee the regime founded by the folks who recently endorsed Hillary Clinton. This from a nation formerly richer than half the nations of Europe and deluged by immigrants from same.

Remember how Donald Trump was taken greatly to task by the media for not quickly repudiating David Duke’s (so-called) endorsement?

Well, we certainly look for the media to take Hillary Clinton similarly to task for not instantly repudiating the endorsement of mass-jailing, mass-torturing, mass-murdering Stalinists.

After all, recalling the “sticks and stones can break my bones” riddle of our childhood, David Duke’s crimes” consist of words (“hate-speech.”) Whereas the (literal) sticks, stones--and chains, manacles, bullwhips and bullets--of the fine folks so enthusiastically endorsing Hillary Clinton have caused untold suffering to hundreds of thousands of people.

I’m A Woman, I’m Voting For Trump, And It Wasn’t Even A Close Call

With Donald Trump leading among men in battleground states, Hillary Clinton needs women like me to turn out in big numbers. No, thanks.

by Katelyn Crist: The Hillary Clinton campaigners have gone after my white, suburban, college-educated mom group hard this election season. She needs us to win the White House. This is especially true since I live in the swing state of North Carolina. With Donald Trump leading among men in battleground states, Clinton needs women like me to turn out in big numbers.

Historically, women like me have voted Republican, but that’s not a forgone conclusion. We are open to change, and all of a sudden, the late GenXer/millennial mom is now a coveted swing group that can alter the course of a national election. Clinton has exploited this opportunity by repeatedly declaring how misogynistic Trump is and how we need to “be with her” and make history together by voting for the first woman president.

While I would have loved to make history by voting in the first president of my gender, that’s not going to happen this time. I’m voting for Trump. It’s not because I’m blind to his many faults; I see them perfectly. But they pale in comparison to Clinton’s, not only her lack of trustworthiness and political corruption but her deeply flawed policies.

What matters to me are not appeals to identity politics and making history, but the platforms on which each candidate stands. Trump’s policies and proposals are more in line with what’s good for my family and country, while Clinton’s pose a threat to our individual liberty and welfare in just about every sphere, particularly health care.

Obamacare Is Devastating, But Hillary Wants More
My main reason for voting for Trump boils down one simple promise: to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and start over with much needed health-care law changes, but the right ones. The changes that put health-care choices back where it belongs: in the hands of individuals and families with free markets to compete and states free to make decisions for their residents.

Did the ACA make a few good changes, such as taking away the ability for insurance companies to deny coverage for pre-existing conditions? Absolutely. But everything else that goes with it is simply unaffordable in the long run.

This is a point I think so many voters, especially women, and even more especially mothers are missing. They don’t realize just how harmful Obamacare will be. They look at their monthly premium and think it’s affordable, but they don’t see all the other costs. It’s like how most people view buying a car or a home: they get stuck on the number they think they can afford per month without looking at the total cost of the purchase. Despite my monthly premium being something our family can “afford” (and even that is questionable), when I look at the overall picture, it isn’t affordable at all. In fact, it’s devastating.

The “Affordable” Care Act is an absolute joke. It promises health-care coverage for all, but taxes those who can’t afford the premiums. So many insurers are pulling out of the exchanges that many people are left with one insurance option. This is certainly the case in my home state of North Carolina, where we are left with one insurer. That insurer doesn’t have to provide competitive rates against other insurers because that competition doesn’t exist. Even adding one other insurer into the mix doesn’t change the reality that health care is no longer affordable.

This is the reality for my family of seven: We’re a middle-class family with growing children, and when I get notifications detailing how much my health-care deductibles are going to go up and benefits I depended on to keep health-care affordable being eradicated in 2017, I immediately ask: how on earth are we going to pay for a major illness or a hospitalization? What seemed like a reasonable monthly premium on paper becomes more than a mortgage when you throw in the real cost if you have anything happen outside of routine exams and preventative health-care.

More Money, Less Coverage
Anyone who is a contract employee knows the pain of dealing with health-care exchanges—and the number of contract and self-employed employees is growing because employers large and small can’t afford to provide health-care coverage. Last year, we were all but forced to choose a local-only health-care plan. Not only did our monthly premium go up, not down, but so did our deductible.

We were given a subsidy to offset some of the cost, but that only lowered it to what we were paying previously for more comprehensive coverage. Basically, we were paying the same for less, and we saw a rise in our deductible. This was when there were still two other major providers providing at least a little competition for consumers.

Even if we pay the same for our monthly premium, it covers less. My young children won’t receive better care. We also have to now hope that we only have to visit a doctor while we are at home. Getting sick while we visit our family or, God forbid, being hospitalized could quickly start to get very costly since any visit to an out-of-network provider is quadruple the cost.

Remember that little routine procedure you had done as part of your in-office co-pay? That is no longer a benefit. Any lab-work, office procedure, emergency room visit, etc. is now set against your (likely high) deductible, making you responsible for all costs incurred during that once affordable visit. A $25 co-pay sick/injury visit can now quickly shoot up to $200 if they have to give you three stitches or order any blood tests.

If Anyone Gets Hurt, We Are Hosed
Let’s talk about those deductibles. Any “savings” from our “free” once-a-year well checks are worthless when faced with serious injury or hospitalizations with deductibles upwards of $7,000 per family. My personal in-network max is a little more than $14,000. The out-of-network max is too large a number for me to share without weeping through the computer and onto yours. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have $14,000 sitting around to pay for health care, and I certainly don’t have that if I’m not being given a break elsewhere.

And let’s be real: any family with children has the potential of injury and serious illness. My Facebook feed is filled with fellow friends in the parenting trenches posting sad pictures of their child’s latest sports injury.

Hillary Clinton has also promised to pile on by raising our taxes. As I look at managing my household and providing the best I can for my family, increased taxes and increased health-care costs are intolerable. Trump’s platform calls for open markets and open competition between states and insurers to drive down costs. This will also eliminate the penalty many of my friends have chosen to incur instead of paying for health-care premiums they can’t afford.

In this crazy election with two undesirable candidates, my choice is clear and unapologetic. My family, which is more important to me than propping up a corrupt woman’s ambition to make history, comes first. The bottom line is we simply can’t afford Hillary Clinton.

Hillary’s High Crimes & Misdemeanors

by Patrick Buchanan: If Hillary Clinton is elected president on Tuesday, and if what Bret Baier is reporting from FBI sources on Fox News is true, America is headed for a constitutional crisis.

Indeed, it would seem imperative that FBI Director James Comey, even if it violates protocol and costs him his job, should state publicly whether what Baier’s FBI sources are telling him is false or true.

The people have a right to know — before Tuesday.

For, if true, Clinton could face charges in 2017 and impeachment and removal from office in 2018.

According to Baier, FBI agents have found new emails, believed to have originated on Clinton’s server, on the computer jointly used by close aide Huma Abedin and her disgraced husband, Anthony Weiner.

Abedin’s failure to turn this computer over to the State Department on leaving State appears to be a violation of U.S. law.

Moreover, the laptops of close Clinton aides Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson, thought destroyed by the FBI, were apparently retained and are “being exploited” by the National Security division.

And here is the salient point. His FBI sources told Baier, “with 99 percent” certitude, that Clinton’s Chappaqua server “had been hacked by at least five foreign intelligence services…”

If this is so, Hillary Clinton as security risk ranks right up there with Alger Hiss and Harry Dexter White, though they acted out of treasonous ideology and she out of Clintonian hubris. What do these foreign intelligence agencies know about Clinton that the voters do not?

The second revelation from Baier is that the Clinton Foundation has been under active investigation by the white-collar crime division of the FBI for a year and is a “very high priority.”

Specifically, the FBI is looking into published allegations of “pay-to-play.” This is the charge that the Clinton State Department traded access, influence and policy decisions to foreign regimes and to big donors who gave hundreds of millions to the Clinton Foundation, along with 15 years of six-figure speaking fees for Bill and Hillary.

According to Baier’s sources, FBI agents are “actively and aggressively” pursuing this case, have interviewed and re-interviewed multiple persons, and are now being inundated in an “avalanche of new information” from WikiLeaks documents and new emails.

The FBI told Baier that they anticipate indictments.

Indeed, with the sums involved, and the intimate ties between high officials of Bill’s foundation, and Hillary and her close aides at State, it strains credulity to believe that deals were not discussed and cut.

Books have been written alleging and detailing them.

Also, not only Fox News but also The Wall Street Journal and other news sources are reporting on what appears a rebellion inside the FBI against strictures on their investigations imposed by higher ups in the Department of Justice of Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Director Comey has come under fire from left and right — first for refusing to recommend the prosecution of Clinton, then for last week’s statement about the discovery of new and “pertinent” emails on the Abedin-Weiner computer — but retains a reputation for integrity.

And he knows better than any other high official the answer to a critical question that needs answering before Tuesday: Has Baier been fed exaggerated or false information by FBI agents hostile to Clinton?

Or has Baier been told the truth?

In the latter case, we are facing a constitutional crisis if Clinton is elected. And the American people surely have a right to know that before they go to the polls on Tuesday.

What is predictable ahead?

Attorney General Lynch, whether she stays or goes, will be hauled before Congress to explain whether she or top aides impeded the FBI investigations of the Clinton scandals. And witnesses from within her Justice department and FBI will also be called to testify.

Moreover, Senate Republicans would block confirmation of any new attorney general who did not first promise to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the email and pay-to-play scandals, and any pressure from Lynch’s Justice Department on the FBI.

Even Democrats would concede that a Department of Justice, staffed by Hillary Clinton appointees, could not credibly be entrusted with investigating alleged high crimes and misdemeanors by former Secretary of State Clinton and confidants like Abedin and Mills.

An independent counsel, a special prosecutor, appears inevitable.

And such individuals usually mark their success or failure by how many and how high are the indictments and convictions they rack up.

However, these processes proceed at a torpid pace.

First comes the setting up of the office and the hirings, then the investigations, then the grand jury appearances, then the indictments, then the prosecutions, then the horse-trading for the testimony of the accused and the convicted in return for immunity or leniency.

Steadily, it moves up the food chain. And when a head of state is involved, it is a process deeply debilitating to the nation.

We have gone through this before, twice.

Do we really want to go through it again?

Hillary Clinton really does support the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
So says the campaign’s Labor Outreach Director Nikki Budzinski in a new Wikileaks email dated November 3, 2015 to campaign advisors that it was U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) who let the cat out of the bag. Budzinski was attempting to engage in damage control.

“She claimed in the meeting that she speaks with HRC 2-3 times a week and that she was told by the Secretary that the only reason she opposes [the Trans-Pacific Partnership] TPP is to get ‘labor off her back’ and that once she is elected President she will reverse position,” Budzinski complained.

Remember that other leaked speech where Clinton said she takes certain positions privately and others publicly? This is a case in point.

This disclosure comes after another leaked speech to Brazil-based Banco Itau in 2013, saying that her dream is the entire Western hemisphere without borders, open trade and a single economy.

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere,” Clinton said.

In that speech, Clinton revealed what she really thinks about the critical issue increasing U.S. participation in trade deals once she’s talking with the corporate interests involved: “I think we have to have a concerted plan to increase trade already under the current circumstances… There is so much more we can do, there is a lot of low hanging fruit but businesses on both sides have to make it a priority and it’s not for governments to do but governments can either make it easy or make it hard and we have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade and I would like to see this get much more attention and be not just a policy for a year under president X or president Y but a consistent one.”

Is there any doubt? If Clinton is elected, then, we should expect that the Trans-Pacific Partnership will pass and will pass easily. She will sign it into law if it gets to her desk. Make no mistake.

Depending on how widely distributed this particular bit of information is, politically it could be devastating amid a Donald Trump surge in Rust Belt states Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio — where Trump has taking a strong stance against bad trade deals that do not have the best interests of the United States at heart.

Which, for union households that have traditionally voted Democrat, that means it’s choosing time. Vote for Clinton who has promised to betray them behind closed doors? Or vote for Trump who promises to be their champion on trade issues?

They might not get another chance at this.

If Trump is defeated and union Democrats failed to support him, it could be said that there is no political benefit to a Republican taking up the trade issue, and if Clinton is not punished for her position, it could be said there is no harm to a Democrat going against labor on the trade issue — all of which makes bad trade deals more likely.

Why are they bad?

Since 2000, the year China entered the World Trade Organization and Congress granted it permanent normal trade relations, the U.S. has racked up more than $8.5 trillion in trade deficits, directly subtracted from the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP). If we had produced those goods here, U.S. GDP would be nearly $27 trillion, instead of today’s $18.4 trillion. Instead, the economy has not grown above an inflation-adjusted 4 percent since 2000 and not above 3 percent since 2005, the slowest economic growth since the Great Depression.

Since that time, the U.S. has been losing labor participation among 16 to 64 year olds, those in their prime working years, which has declined from more than a 77 percent rate at the turn of the century to just 72.6 percent in 2015, accounting for more than 10 million who either left the labor force or never entered on a net basis since then.

So was it job outsourcing?

Consider, the U.S. market share of manufactures exports worldwide — that is, U.S. exported manufactures as a percent of worldwide exported manufactures — peaked in 1999 at 13.48 percent, and has been declining ever since, according to data compiled by the World Bank. In 2014, it was down to 7.45 percent.
Going back 30 years shows that as U.S. market share of manufacturing rose worldwide in the late 1980s and 1990s, so too did labor participation. And that once we were losing market share, labor participation followed closely behind.

In the meantime, countries we supposedly have “free trade” agreements with devalue their currencies in effect levy a major tariff on our goods and grant themselves a major discount on their goods shipped here. That’s not free trade, which is supposed to include reciprocal tariff reductions. It’s a one-way trade war.

The Oct. 2015 World Economic Outlook from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) study of 60 economies including China found that “A depreciation in an economy’s currency is typically associated with lower export prices paid by foreigners and higher domestic import prices, and these price changes, in turn, lead to a rise in exports and a decline in imports. Reflecting these channels, a 10 percent real effective exchange rate depreciation implies, on average, a 1.5 percent of GDP increase in real net exports,” which much of the increase happening in the first year.

This means that the more exporters, particularly China, have devalued their currencies in recent history — whether through fixed exchange rates or building up foreign exchange reserves or both — the more products they were able to export. As a result, while U.S. global manufacturing market share has been dropping, China’s global manufactures market share jumped from 4.67 percent in 2000 to 16.35 percent in 2014.
All of which Clinton won’t do a darn thing about.

It’s time for union households in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio to wake up. Hillary Clinton is not with them on the trade issue. She is speaking to global interests, not U.S. interests. And if she is not punished now for her blatantly phony position, where she lies to her supporters’ faces, no one will ever be held accountable under her administration. She’ll have gotten in on a lie and she’ll know it.

Moral Reasoning and Ethics

by Kerby Anderson, Contributing Author: In a recent essay, Ravi Zacharias devoted a few paragraphs to the importance of moral reasoning and an ethical foundation. He reminded us of the insight that can be found in the book, The Roads to Modernity. Gertrude Himmelfarb makes a very powerful statement in the book. She argues that the difference between the European Enlightenment and the English and American Enlightenment was really one word.

For the French philosophers, reasoning was supreme. For the English and American philosophers, moral reasoning was supreme. Edmund Burke makes a similar observation in his commentary. Ethics, morality, and moral reasoning were important not only in that period of time but also were important in the framing of our government.

Ravi Zacharias then goes on to tell of a dinner in a European country he attended. One of the heads of a prestigious school of business proudly stated that a class in ethics was not part of their curriculum. “As the topic of conversation moved from curriculum to impact, several moments later he said that in the last national election three of the candidates were graduates of their school. “What happened,” I asked? “One lost because he was a womanizer, the second lost because he was an alcoholic, and the third, because he was corrupt” was his answer.” Ravi Zacharias then said that his wife whispered in his ear, “Maybe it’s time they started teaching ethics.”

Yes, it probably time they began thinking about teaching ethics in that school and in the major universities of Europe and America. The problem, of course, is they can’t even agree about the moral foundation necessary to effectively discuss ethics. Once you reject a belief in biblical absolutes, any ethical conversation quickly devolves into a discussion about personal moral preferences. This is often what we are left with in this world of postmodern personal truth and relative ethics.

A Brexit Effect?

Editors' Note: According to a report from ESPN, the betting odds of The Chicago Cubs winning the World Series at one Las Vegas sports book on Saturday night were Cubs -175 and Indians +155. A FOX report said another Strip area sports book had the Cubs opening at -220 and the Indians at +190. However, the Cubs after 160 years beat the Dodgers in Game 6 on Saturday night to win the World Series. Odds / betting is one thing; Action verses Corruptionis another.

by Paul Jacob, Contributing Author: Before the Brexit vote, the likelihood of British secession from the European Union garnered a mere 25 percent chance. That was according to European betting markets, which are usually more accurate. In June, the Brits voted Brexit.

Donald Trump has made much hay of this, understandably.

On Tuesday, the odds of a Trump victory hit the same mark: 25 percent.

Gwynn Guilford’s report on this was drolly titled “Donald Trump has the same odds of winning as Jon Snow ruling Westeros, according to betting markets.”

On June 11, Business Insider had reported that Hillary was increasing her lead; on October 18, it exulted that the Irish betting markets had “already declared a winner” — not Trump. On November 1, the news aggregator merely noted that Moody’s is calling the election a landslide for Clinton.

But BI is also covering the scandal that has disturbed the Clinton camp. There’s no love lost between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice, explains Natasha Bertrand in “‘The Antichrist personified’: ‘Open warfare’ and antipathy toward Clinton is reportedly fueling the FBI leaks.” The meat of her representation is that “much of the agents’ frustration . . . may boil down to partisanship”; the FBI is “Trumpland.”

Yet the article ends quoting another FBI official insisting that both Trump and Clinton are awful candidates.

A plausible judgment.

Whether late-in-the-game revelations of Clinton corruption and FBI probing can defy current odds and produce a Clinton defeat remains to be seen. As of Thursday evening, polls-only forecasts placed the odds of winning at 67/33 in favor of Mrs. Clinton, while electionbettingodds.com placed them at 70.2/29.2.

Media Blackout of Clinton's Criminal Activities Exposes Their Corruption

by Brent Bozell and Tim Graham: While most of America was transfixed by Game 7 of the World Series, Fox News Channel was doggedly pursuing a new story: The FBI’s probe into pay-for-play schemes at the Clinton Foundation and the State Department has been far more expansive than anyone reported so far and has been going on for more than a year. FBI sources even warned there could be indictments down the road.

Then, The Wall Street Journal broke another new story online, saying, “Secret recordings of a suspect talking about the Clinton Foundation fueled an internal battle between FBI agents who wanted to pursue the case and corruption prosecutors who viewed the statements as worthless hearsay.” Senior officials wanted to tell FBI agents to “stand down” from a Clinton Foundation probe.

That’s two nuclear explosions in one night. What was the reaction from the news media? Crickets.

The stench of corruption between the Justice Department, the State Department and the Clinton Foundation machine is noxious. Add the leftist “news” media collusion and it becomes overpowering. This is a cover-up.

No one at ABC, CBS or NBC was breaking from the World Series. They couldn’t locate the Clinton story and offer even the briefest summary the next morning. MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski offered a serious report early on “Morning Joe,” but she was alone. The other “news” programs preferred the distraction of breathless baseball updates.

The worst moment came on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where they acted like the story did not exist. Political analyst Matthew Dowd noted a scandal story might still break. “So, anything can happen in that regard,” he said. Sounding totally oblivious to the breaking news, co-host George Stephanopoulos replied, “We’ll see if some big news comes out.”

At taxpayer-funded National Public Radio, “Morning Edition” found anything and everything else more interesting and “newsworthy,” including — we’re not kidding — “teen night owls” who need later school start times and the perils of the illegal kidney trade in Pakistan.

The network blackout so far on this FBI probe is beyond the pale. Everyone knows what the media reaction would be were there a report about likely indictments related to the Trump Foundation. There would be an immediate flash mob of reporters camped in front of Trump Tower, breaking away from regularly scheduled programming and offering play-by-play commentary. Anyone denying the double standard is lying.

This is just the latest Clinton scandal scoop out of hundreds over the last 24 years that the networks have skipped or downplayed or just dismissed as toxic waste. This is why an overwhelming majority of Americans tell pollsters it’s obvious the media are undisguised Hillary boosters. Their credibility is shot with the public.

Within 18 hours, MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell was bizarrely denying there was any story or any investigation worth noting. She said: “She’s not under criminal investigation. In fact, it’s not an investigation. It’s just a review of the e-mails. She did not lie to the FBI, according to James Comey. There was no grounds to prosecute her. So there are no lies, there’s no criminality.”

This is the kind of spin you expect from defense attorneys, not reporters.

It’s sinking in across America that our “news” media are not First Amendment heroes or watchdogs of government. Many of them are coddling deeply corrupt politicians and denying any evidence that these people have been engaged in what appears to be a criminal conspiracy to enrich themselves using the federal government.

We are looking right down the barrel of the greatest government crisis since the Civil War, with charges — like handing over our uranium mining capacity to the Russians — that could possibly reach the height of treason itself.

And there’s no coverage.
