Marxist Thugs Threaten CWF, Four Days Out, An Active Investigation

Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer: Marxist Thugs Threatening CWF & Staff

I have very disturbing news to pass on to you.

We just got a very unsettling phone call. A coalition of the worst far-left, neo-Marxist groups in Washington, called Shutdown DC, is promising attacks on conservative organizations and their leaders in the Washington, D.C., area.

Just so there is no confusion, they literally provided leftist stormtroopers with a convenient map with the addresses of groups and people they want taken down.

I wanted to let you know right away that Campaign for Working Families is one of the organizations that has been targeted.

These radicals battled police in the streets on Tuesday of this week. Most of the local media completely ignored what happened. The bottom line was that 15 officers were seriously injured and one may be permanently blinded.

These are not clowns we're dealing with. They are trained left-wing revolutionaries. We've seen them in the streets of Kenosha, Minneapolis, Portland and no doubt coming soon to a community near you.

I am reviewing what security measures we can take to protect our office and staff. (They are also putting out the home addresses of conservative leaders.)

The most important thing we need you to do over the next few days when you are praying for our country, the election and our future is to pray specifically for Campaign for Working Families, American Values and our dedicated staff.

I was already, God willing, 99% certain I would stay in this battle, win or lose, after Tuesday. But after being threatened by these Marxist snakes slithering out from underneath their rocks, I'm 150% certain that with your help we will stay on the front lines come what may!

God bless you, and thank you for your partnership with us.

Four Days Out
Here we are on the Friday before Election Day. I have no idea what is going to happen. Most of us don't believe the polls, so we're looking for anecdotes and other signals suggesting the race is leaning one way or the other. With that in mind:
  • Democrat strategist James Carville appears to be in a meltdown after looking at the early voting in Florida. Inexplicably, the Democrat vote in Miami has not turned out as expected.
  • Democrats in Nevada are suddenly in panic mode because the early vote in rural counties (Trump country) is huge.
  • Muslim socialist Keith Ellison, the attorney general of Minnesota, is using his power to prevent a large Trump rally in Minnesota this afternoon. Would Ellison really be doing that if he thought Joe Biden had Minnesota in the bag?
  • Would Joe Biden be campaigning in Minnesota today if he thought he had a lock on the state? It hasn't voted for a Republican candidate since 1972!
  • Michigan Congresswoman Debbie Dingle said in a recent CNN interview that autoworkers she assumed were pro-Biden "were very clear with me last night they were voting for President Trump."
  • Michael Moore is also sounding the alarm on the left, saying, "Don't believe these polls. . . the Trump vote is always being undercounted. . . It's not an accurate count. . . whatever they're saying the Biden lead is, cut it in half."
  • President Trump recently spoke at a rally in North Carolina. When you heard applause from the audience, you also heard drums from Lumbee Native Americans. The president has promised to extend federal recognition to the Lumbee Tribe. The Lumbee vote swung one rural county from Obama to Trump in 2016, and we've heard reports that they are voting in record numbers this year.
I have no doubt many on the left are sending out reports today claiming they are on the verge of a landslide victory. It seems some progressives are already measuring the curtains at the White House. (Here and here.)

One thing we do know for sure is that early turnout in several states has already reached or exceeded the total vote from 2016.

One theory behind Hillary Clinton's loss four years ago is that many Democrats believed the polls and assumed Hillary had it in the bag. They just didn't believe Donald Trump could win, so they didn't bother to vote. Democrat turnout was down.

They didn't make that mistake in 2018. Democrats outvoted Republicans and we lost control of Congress.

We MUST NOT become complacent now. Every Republican and conservative must vote!

If you have a chance to vote early this weekend, please do so. If you know of an elderly neighbor who needs a ride to the polls, please offer to take them.

Call, text or email all your friends and family this weekend and urge them to vote.

An Active Investigation
We reported last week that Hunter Biden's laptop was seized by the FBI in December as part of a money laundering investigation. Two of his former business associates, Bevan Cooney and Devan Archer, have already been convicted. And it seems Hunter isn't out of the woods just yet.

Investigative journalist James Rosen has confirmed that the Justice Department has "an open and active investigation" ongoing into Hunter Biden's activities.

Rosen also confirmed that Tony Bobulinski was interviewed by six FBI agents for five hours, and they're not done. He will be meeting with them again.

Unlike most of the mainstream media, Rosen is doing his job and investigating something they refuse to even talk about!

In addition, Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said that all of the information Bobulinski provided to his committee has so far checked out. It's legitimate, not fake, and not part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Think of the contrast here. In the closing days of the 2016 campaign, there were leaks and reports that the Trump campaign was under investigation for collusion with Russia. By the time he delivered his inaugural address, that fake narrative was set, and it dominated the first three years of his presidency.

Christopher Wray insists that the FBI isn't leaking, but the only leaks that come out of the FBI are ones that hurt Trump and help the left.

Pray For the Persecuted Church
This Sunday, November 1st, is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. It is estimated that as many as 250 million Christians around the world live in nations where they face severe persecution for their faith.

As a Trump appointee to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, I am all too aware of the dangers many Christians endure for a right far too many Americans take for granted.

For example, hundreds of Nigerian Christians have been slaughtered by militant Islamists this year. And as I have repeatedly warned, China is waging war against all faiths, including Christianity.

Chinese Christians are being forced to take down pictures of Jesus and worship the communist dictator instead. Facial recognition technology is being used to monitor who attends religious services. The Chinese Communist Party is even rewriting the Bible!

And the coronavirus pandemic has made conditions for Christians in many parts of the world even worse than they already were.

Click here for more information on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

If your pastor does not mention Christian persecution overseas this Sunday, please encourage him to make it a priority in future sermons, and to plan for next year's International Day of Prayer.

The Ever-Expanding Influence of China

by Michael Swartz: Depending on your preferred source of news, you may not have heard about the messy entanglements that Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and his family are engaged in with our greatest geopolitical foe: China. Those business dealings have allegedly placed the Biden clan in the exclusive company of the 1%. But, more important for our nation’s security and prosperity, they’ve compromised a potential American administration to a brutal and ambitious communist Chinese regime. It’s reminiscent of the Soviet threat we felt for the latter half of the last century, which finally ended under the leadership of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

The Chinese are nothing if not shrewd students of history, so the lessons they learned by watching the Soviet Union during the Cold War have informed their efforts to undermine the United States, which has been a campaign of several stages. Nearly 50 years ago, when the Chinese opened up their nation to Richard Nixon, they saw the benefits of our capitalist system and soon afterward adopted the portions of it their regime could control. Beginning in the 1980s, American manufacturing began leaving the states and moving to China to take advantage of its low wages and lax environmental standards. This led to a massive influx of our capital — an influx that its government used in part to improve living standards for the average Chinese citizen.

That Western revenue stream, however, was also used for more nefarious purposes, and one of those is the subject of this story. This week the Department of Education finalized a report that showed American colleges and universities “failed to report $6.5 billion in foreign gifts and contracts.” As John Hinderaker of Power Line explained, “The Chinese Communist Party has spread billions of dollars among many American politicians and institutions, considering such spending to be a wise investment. With hindsight, it seems clear that they are right.”

The Chinese have also applied this Western funding toward students studying at American universities. About one-third of the 1.1 million student visa holders attending school here come from China, and while the vast majority are legitimately here to learn, an alarming number have hidden their connections to the Chinese Communist Party and its military in order to gain access to our research and steal our intellectual property. Six of those cases were recently documented by The Daily Signal.

Color us shocked that our mainstream media is taking a pass on these potential Pulitzers by keeping their collective heads in the sand. But perhaps there’s an explanation for that, too.

Sixteen years ago — when many of our journalists were coming up through college — the Chinese government began to place what are called Confucius Institutes within a number of our colleges and universities, ostensibly to promote Chinese language and culture. In practice, though, they provide an outlet for parroting Chinese government propaganda to students, softening them up to believe whatever the propagandistic party line happens to be. Thus, American students never hear about abuses such as those perpetrated against China’s Islamic Uyghur population in Tibet, or China’s essential role in the introduction and cover-up of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Back in April, as our Arnold Ahlert wrote about a Senate report, an affiliate of the Chinese government “provides colleges between $100,000 and $200,000 in start-up costs, and a large amount to teaching supplies. It also chooses a director and teachers at no cost to the university. Those teachers sign contracts pledging not to undermine China’s national interests, and the Chinese government gets to approve every teacher, event, and speaker at the institutes. ‘Such limitations,’ the report says, ‘attempt to export China’s censorship of political debate and prevent discussion of potentially politically sensitive topics.’” This product of a Homeland Security subcommittee also pointed out that China doesn’t allow a reciprocal organization promoting our American interests to operate in China.

When Ahlert wrote his article back in April, he noted there were 86 Confucius Institutes operating around the country. However, that figure has since been whittled down to 65, with more slated to close in the coming months.

China has taken full advantage of our open society in its effort to undermine us while hiding the flaws and abuses within its own system. Ever since President Nixon visited China in 1972, we’ve operated under the belief that exporting our culture and way of life to the massive communist country would bring it around, but China has instead worked to subvert us.

Donald Trump is the first president to take a harder stance against the Chinese in over a half-century. The communist Chinese regime, however, long ago purchased the services of Joe Biden. The question is whether that investment will pay off handsomely next Tuesday.

The Perils of Political Trifectas

by Michael Barone: If the final election returns, when they finally come in, match the current polls, Joe Biden's Democrats will win a trifecta: the White House and majorities in both houses of Congress.

Biden currently leads Donald Trump 51% to 44% in the RealClearPolitics average of recent polls and leads by a smaller margin of 49% to 46% in six target states. Current polling shows Democrats leading in races that would give them a 51-49 majority in the Senate, and they seem well positioned to hold their majority in the House.

Of course, those numbers are not etched in stone. Plenty of poll numbers are within the margin of error, and some may turn out to be even further off the final results, as in the 2016 presidential race and in the last three Senate cycles.

Still, it's worth pondering what a Democratic trifecta would mean -- and how unusual it would be. You would think that, in a country where people increasingly vote straight tickets, one-party dominance of the federal government would be common. But the electorate is so closely divided between the two historically ancient parties that we have ended up with divided government more often than not.

Over the last half-century, since the last horrifyingly turbulent presidential election year, 1968, Democrats have held the White House and both houses of Congress for only eight years (during Jimmy Carter's presidency and the first two years of Bill Clinton's and Barack Obama's), and Republicans have held them only six and a half (during most of George W. Bush's presidency and the first two years of Donald Trump's).

So, we've had divided government 72% of the time and one-party control only 28% of the time.

Why is undivided government so uncommon? Why doesn't it last very long?

The short answer is that presidents and parties make mistakes and overreach. As a result, predictions of long-term party majorities for either party have proven unfounded.

Republicans have lost control because of mistakes, Democrats because of ideology. The Bush Republicans lost in the 2006 midterms because of perceived failure to prevent chaos in New Orleans and Iraq. Trump Republicans lost their control in 2018 because of upscale suburbanites' distaste for an arguably norm-breaking president. Democrats lost their trifectas in 1994 and 2010 by large margins after pursuing big-government policies that aroused vehement opposition.

Both involved the health care issue. Polls show voters constantly griping about health care costs but also fiercely opposing change in current arrangements. That helps explain why voters opposed Obamacare in 2010 and so long as Obama was president but, once Trump took office, opposed Republicans' proposals to repeal or modify it.

Up through the 1990s, divided government prevailed, with a perceived Republican lock on the presidency and an apparently eternally Democratic House of Representatives. Bill Clinton and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich changed that and proceeded to forge policy compromises that arguably reformed health care and balanced the federal budget -- until the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke.

Since then, bipartisanship has faded, as each party has some reason to hope that the next election, or the one after that, will give them the trifecta and let them pass the policies of their dreams.

So, George W. Bush got a few crucial Democratic votes on taxes and Iraq but none on Social Security. Barack Obama, having passed the stimulus and Obamacare with Democratic supermajorities, spurned the Simpson-Bowles reforms and a budget deal. In 2017, Trump accepted then-House Speaker Paul Ryan's tax package but was blocked from Obamacare "repeal" by then-Sen. John McCain's last-minute switch.

In this year's campaign, the rally-loving Donald Trump hasn't reached out to the voters his party lost in 2018, and the basement-lodged Joe Biden hasn't done much to attract those his party lost in 2016.

Biden and Democratic Senate candidates have dodged commitments on Supreme Court packing and the Green New Deal, which left-wing Democrats are pushing but most voters oppose. They talk vaguely about altering health insurance policy, which has proved unpopular for administrations of both parties. As have the tax and spending increases, which they, like past Democrats, have proposed.

The Biden campaign's TV ads have promised a return to serenity after the turmoil of the Trump years. But past Democratic trifectas have produced turmoil of their own, as the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezes of those days sought bigger government policies and backbench Republicans have vociferously opposed them.

If Democrats win the trifecta the polls say they're headed for, they may find it to be as turbulent and short-lived as both parties' trifectas in the past half-century. Or that voters, with a seeming distaste for any trifecta, will veer away from the polls' path and deny Democrats one this time.

What the Next President Faces

by Patrick J. Buchanan: Given the cards he has been dealt in 2020, and the hatred of the media he daily confronts, it is astonishing that Trump retains his energy and enthusiasm for the battle. Most presidents would have long ago been broken… Should Joe Biden win, he would be, on Jan. 20, 2021, the oldest and most visibly enfeebled leader to win the presidency in the history of the republic…

Of the presidents in the modern era, many have been dealt a difficult hand by history, but perhaps none more so than Donald Trump.

In 1952, Harry Truman was in his third year of a stalemated war in Korea that was costing 200 American lives every week. He lost the New Hampshire primary to Sen. Estes Kefauver and decided to pack it in.

In 1968, Lyndon B. Johnson had also been challenged in New Hampshire, by Sen. Eugene McCarthy. And, he, too, had on his hands a seemingly endless Asian war if he was not prepared to escalate militarily and add hundreds of thousands more troops to the 500,000 already in Vietnam.

Like Truman before him, LBJ stood down.

In 1980, Jimmy Carter also had a challenge from within his party — Edward Kennedy. And for the entire last year of his presidency, 52 U.S. hostages were held in Teheran while Carter presided over an economy where the interest rates had hit 21% and inflation 13%.

Trump had no primary challenger. He had not taken us into any new wars. And he had begun 2020 with the U.S. economy firing on all cylinders. But it all crashed in March and April in the worst pandemic in a century, which destroyed his economy and has since consumed a quarter of a million American lives.

October of Trump’s reelection year saw a new wave of COVID-19 infections and the bottom fall out of the stock market.

Given the cards he has been dealt in 2020, and the hatred of the media he daily confronts, it is astonishing that Trump retains his energy and enthusiasm for the battle. Most presidents would have long ago been broken.

Thus it is that, four days before the election, Trump is decidedly the underdog. With the popular vote surely lost, Trump has to sweep almost all the battleground states — Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania — while holding onto all the states he won in 2016. A tall order.

Should Joe Biden win, he would be, on Jan. 20, 2021, the oldest and most visibly enfeebled leader to win the presidency in the history of the republic, with the possible exception of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1945.

Biden would have to deal with an economy that, if the stock market remains a reliable lead indicator, may be tanking anew even as the COVID-19 epidemic consumes a thousand American lives daily.

And foreign policy, that lost issue of the campaign of 2020, will be clamoring anew for the president’s attention.

In the Asia-Pacific region, China is increasingly defiant of the U.S. and openly applying military pressure upon Taiwan, matching U.S. arms sales to the island with ever more direct threats.

Earlier this month, Beijing celebrated the 75th anniversary of China’s intervention in the Korean War, where its troops suffered heavy losses but caused most of the 36,000 U.S. dead in that conflict.

And, this fall, a war broke out in the South Caucasus that, if not contained, could draw in Russia, Turkey and Iran.

The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh — an Armenian-populated enclave contained wholly within Azerbaijan’s borders — has resisted efforts by Russia and the U.S. to mediate a truce. The Azeris appear determined to resolve the territorial dispute in the way Narendra Modi of India lately resolved the dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir.

Russia has an alliance with Armenia and bases inside. The Turks are supporting Muslim Azerbaijan, and, with the Israelis, have been providing the Azeris with modern weaponry such as advanced drones, which have taken a devastating toll on Armenian troops and armor.

On the cultural war front, France and Turkey, both members of the NATO alliance, are trading national insults over a crackdown on Islamists by President Emmanuel Macron after a Chechen Muslim beheaded a French teacher who used the Charlie Hebdo cartoons of the prophet as examples of protected speech and press freedoms in secular France.

Macron’s perceived attacks on Islam triggered a personal insult from Turkey’s President Erdogan. This led to the recall of the French ambassador to Turkey. The clash over the blasphemous cartoons and the beheading of the teacher have provoked anti-French demonstrations across the Muslim world.

In the latest affront, Charlie Hebdo published a cartoon of Erdogan lifting the burqa of a woman, similar to the cartoon of the prophet that precipitated the 2015 massacre at the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo.

European nations are lining up behind France, while the leaders of Muslim nations such as Bangladesh and Pakistan are damning the French for tolerating the ridicule of their religious beliefs.

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,” Voltaire is said to have responded to Rousseau.

That may reflect French values. But, as Kipling wrote, “East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet, Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God’s great Judgment Seat.”

The Truth About Obiden

by Lloyd Billingsley: “When this nightmare is over,” tweeted Robert Reich, “we need a truth and reconciliation commission. It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.” The diminutive Clinton-Obama retread, with a JD from Yale, was expanding on an idea from MSNBC mouthpiece Chris Hayes.

He accused people who don’t take face masks seriously of “getting people killed,” and “the most humane and reasonable way to dealt with all those people, if we survive this, is some kind of truth and reconciliation commission.” Back in 2018, Hayes’ colleague Donnie Deutsch proclaimed that Trump voters were “like Nazis” and “If you vote for Trump, you’re the bad guy.”

The Democrats’ truth and reconciliation commission would be a series of Stalinist show trials, designed to make all Trump supporters non-persons, by any means necessary. This threat obscures the need for a real truth commission to look at actual lies, obstructions and deceptions. A good place to start would be the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

That was a convenient place to conduct gain of function research the National Institutes of Health banned in 2014 because of the prospect that a manipulated virus could escape the lab. The NIH sent more than $7 million to the Wuhan lab including $3.7 million in 2019. Spending U.S. taxpayer dollars calls for public accountability, but Dr. Anthony Fauci has been evasive about China’s role in the release of the coronavirus. A truth commission could find out what Fauci knew and when he knew it, and also have a chat with Nancy Messonnier of the CDC.

In February, when a reporter asked if China had been telling the truth, Dr. Messonnier deferred to the World Health Organization, a publicity agent for China’s Communist dictatorship. A truth commission could find out what Messonnier knew, when she knew it, and why she declined to answer a legitimate question.

Like Fauci, Messonnier’s bio shows no advanced degrees in molecular or cell biology, which one would expect of a virologist. The CDC does reveal that Dr. Messonnier began her career with the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service which according to its defenders “works day and night domestically and globally to ensure epidemics in other countries do not hit American soil.”

A truth commission could find out what the EIS knew, when they knew it, and why they failed to prevent the Wuhan virus from arriving on American soil and causing such damage and death across America. Did anybody in the EIS, CDC or NIH perhaps lose their job over this massive failure? The truth commission could provide answers for the American people, still in the dark on many other matters.

Hunter Biden’s laptop reveals that the “Big Guy,” got a piece of the action from Hunter’s ventures in Ukraine, China and elsewhere. As it turns out, the FBI also had this same laptop, so why did they not reveal the contents when Democrats were trying to take down Trump over a phone call? A truth commission could get to the bottom of it, and maybe enlighten the public on another batch of emails.

Former First Lady Hillary Clinton, the Democrats’ presidential candidate in 2016, had more than 30,000 emails that legislators wanted to see. Clinton’s demolition crew bleached them out and smashed up the devices. Clinton violated several laws but FBI boss James Comey said no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges. A truth commission could see if the NSC has copies, since they can read everybody’s emails. Hillary’s would doubtless prove enlightening.

She was so concerned about the emails, our intelligence committee has told us, that she launched a scheme to spy on candidate Trump and smear him as a puppet of Putin. A truth commission could get to the bottom of that and fully expose the Crossfire Hurricane operation against President Trump. That done, they could turn to lingering mysteries about POTUS 44.

From David Garrow’s Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama, the people know that Dreams from My Father, Obama’s founding narrative, is “without question,” a novel, and the author a “composite character.” On the other hand, many of the composite character’s records remain locked down.

In 2008, the State Department fired some contractors who looked into candidate Obama’s passport file, which contains key biographical information and reveals how the holder has traveled abroad. In 1981, the future president traveled to Pakistan after visiting relatives in Indonesia. It would be interesting to see the passport records on that trip, but a powerful senator found that troubling.

“I am deeply troubled that State Department contract employees sought access to Sen. Barack Obama’s passport files,” said Sen. Joe Biden, at the time head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The Delaware Democrat became Obama’s vice president and now wants to be president of the United States, the most powerful man in the world, with Obama campaigning on his behalf.

A truth commission could tap Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to reveal the passport files. That would settle the matter, and a lot more. After all, the American people have a right to know the whole truth about all their presidents, particularly the one formerly known as Barry Soetoro. So as Obama advisor Robert Reich put it, bring on “every politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.”

Swamp Thing . . .

. . . The Mainstream Media and Big Tech continue to blackout the Biden corruption story out of fear it’ll hurt Joe in the election.

Media Will Silence Any Heretics Who Report On Biden

Mike Huckabee: Think censorship by the media and Big Tech over the “Biden Inc.” story is bad? Oh, it’s even worse than that. Here’s another example...

Glenn Greenwald has resigned from THE INTERCEPT, the publication he co-founded in 2013, after the editors censored a piece he’d written that they deemed critical of the Bidens.

On Wednesday, he posted a resignation letter on Twitter, saying his editors had, in violation of his contract, refused to publish an article of his unless he deleted “all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New York-based INTERCEPT editors involved in this effort at suppression.”

Note that Greenwald is no right-winger; THE INTERCEPT has always leaned left.

Greenwald’s letter is now posted at an independent publishing site called SUBSTACK (the implication being that Twitter censored him too). He joins journalists Matt Taibbi and Andrew Sullivan in moving to that site.

Ironically, it was constraints on Greenwald’s reporting of the Edward Snowden story in 2013 that caused him to co-found a new site that would give him the ability to report more freely. “The reason it was created,” he said to Tucker Carlson Wednesday night, “was to ensure that journalists would always have complete journalistic independence and editorial freedom –- never have to pull punches journalistically or pay homage to pieties because of the...partisan or ideological preferences of editors or of anybody else. That was the core founding idea and vision.”

But now the outlet he created to avoid censorship is intervening to censor HIM, just a few days before an election. This was because he “wanted to publish reporting and analysis about the evidence that raises serious questions about the conduct of the candidate that all of the editors at that outlet vehemently and enthusiastically support.”Greenwald isn’t American, but after dealing with his New York editors, he said his choice to resign reflects a trend of “repression, censorship and ideological homogeneity plaguing the national press.”

As he said in his resignation letter, those editors even demanded that he “refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.” Ah, so they really were pulling out all the stops to try to bury it.

Greenwald appears to be caught between the prevailing political forces of the day. As THE EPOCH TIMES put it, “Before President Donald Trump was elected in 2016, Greenwald’s reporting and commentary were influential among anti-war and civil liberties groups on the left. However, since the last election, he has drawn criticism for his appearances on FOX NEWS.”

Knowing Trump as I do, it doesn’t surprise me that Trump is being looked upon more kindly these days by some who are anti-war and pro-civil liberties. Those don’t seem to be leftist views any longer. In fact, Trump is the President who has brought long-antagonistic countries to the peace table and is bringing troops home. He’s also defending constitutional rights to free speech and free assembly, while the left is doing just the opposite in an attempt to clamp down on opposition.

Greenwald said in his statement that his right to journalistic independence was being “suppressed by an authoritarian, fear-driven, repressive editorial team in New York bent on imposing their own ideological and partisan preferences on all writers, while ensuring that nothing is published at THE INTERCEPT that contradicts their own narrow, homogenous ideological and partisan views, exactly what THE INTERCEPT, more than any other goal, was created to prevent.”

Greenwald has had trouble with his editors before by daring to assert that the conclusion Trump was “colluding” with Russia was not supported by evidence. For that, he said, he was branded as a “Trump supporter,” which, to these editors, must have been the worst thing you can call a person.

In 2019, in an interview with THE HILL about the Russia investigation, he said, “These kinds of scandals get conflated into tribalistic and ideological litmus tests, so that you’re required to say that you’re on the side of the anti-Trump forces and believe things that you don’t actually believe are true upon pain of being accused of being a Trump supporter.”

Ask any conservative in Hollywood if that's not true.

Greenwald explained that THE INTERCEPT was intended to be unique for another reason: its skepticism, particularly towards intelligence agencies. At the time it was founded, they were reporting on Ed Snowden and Wikileaks and were under heavy fire from the CIA, NSA, and “deep state.”

"We knew they were lying constantly,” he said, “and disseminating propaganda in a very powerful way. So we set out to say, ‘We’re going to investigate them, and we’re going to be skeptical of them; we’re going to subject their assertions to critical scrutiny.” Now, he’s embarrassed and angry that the very outlet he co-created published an article that snidely dismissed the Biden story as “Russian disinformation” that no one should pay attention to.

The topper: In support of that view, it cited a letter from John Brennan, James Clapper...and “the rest of the goons from the CIA and the intelligence community asserting it,” even though they admitted in the same letter that they had no evidence of “Russian disinformation." THE INTERCEPT conveniently left that last part out. I’m sure Brennan and Clapper and the rest of the goons would approve.

This is the opposite of what Greenwald created THE INTERCEPT to be. It now accepts as gospel whatever the intel community says, even though “there’s never been any evidence that [the “Russian disinformation” story has] been true and everything since has disproven it.”

"Nobody,” he said, “certainly not even Joe Biden, disputes that these emails and other text messages are completely real and authentic.”

He made the point that for years, the left had “a healthy skepticism of the CIA” that went along with their anti-war activism, but that in recent years, “that has all disappeared.” He says this is because the CIA devoted itself from the very first to “sabotaging Trump.” Greenwald dared to question just a few things they held sacred, and “whoever does that must be destroyed,” he said. The CIA and “deep state” became “heroes of the liberal left, the people who support the Democratic Party.”

This “union of power,” he said, is now the deep state --- especially the CIA ('who lie for a living') --- plus “the neo-cons, the Bush-Cheney operatives, Silicon Valley and Wall Street...along with mainstream media outlets that are fully behind the Democratic Party, which is likely to at least take over one branch of government if not all of them in the coming election.”

I’m much more optimistic about the outcome of the election than Greenwald is, but he’s right to say that the prospect is “a very alarming proposition, because they’re authoritarian, they believe in censorship, and they believe in suppression of information that exposes them in any kind of a critical light.”

The CIA was never supposed to be involved in our politics. As Greenwald pointed out, we now have ex-agents of the CIA, NSA, DOJ and FBI infiltrating the media and telling us what we ought to believe, utilizing lies, leaks and clandestine operations. I'll say it: if we don't clean house and find honest media alternatives, we truly will be living in a banana republic, forced to pass those "tribalistic and ideological litmus tests" imposed by the left.

The Perverts And Those Who Protect Them

by Cliff Kincaid: Before Joe Biden committed a major gaffe by urging the eventual abolition of the oil and gas industry, he endorsed the idea of 8-year-old transgenders. This went beyond gaffe status to outright insanity. What’s more, it was part of his appeal to the transgender “community.” In this case, he called for “zero discrimination” against kids who want to parade around like members of the opposite sex. He didn’t rule out these confused kids getting sex-change operations.

Ignoring this form of child abuse, Savannah Guthrie of NBC News asked Trump during a televised town hall about the belief by some of his supporters in “a satanic pedophile ring” operating behind the scenes.

The president said he understands that people are opposed to pedophilia. He could have brought up the evidence of a high-level pedophile network involving Jeffrey Epstein, kicked out of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club by Trump himself for trying to procure young women. Or Trump could have brought up the devilish blood-soaked "spirit cooking" demonstration that came to light four years ago in one of the Hillary campaign emails.

Epstein, a member of such groups as the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission, was said to have sex videos of America’s elites for blackmail purposes.

Attorney General William Barr has failed to explain how Epstein died in a federal prison when he was supposed to be under close observation.

On “The Evening Edit” show of Elizabeth MacDonald on the Fox Business Network on Tuesday night, viewers were told that the federal U.S. Marshalls Service has been busting human trafficking rings. In operation "Autumn Hope," the Marshalls recovered 45 missing children.

Whether this is a “Q” conspiracy theory or not, the victims are real. They are just as real as the victims of the China virus.

In another case, a 10-count indictment charges a priest in the Diocese of Toledo, Ohio, Father Michael Zacharias, with human trafficking and coercion. Court documents reveal that “from approximately 1999 to July of 2020, the defendant is accused of engaging in the activity of sex trafficking of a minor victim and using force, fraud, or coercion to sexually traffic other minors and adults.” That’s a period of 21 years.

It appears the FBI has been doing some good work, at least in the Zacharias and other cases, on a local level. But does the FBI’s interest in such matters stop when top Democrats are implicated in alleged wrong-doing? It’s clear that the media, despite what we know about the Epstein and Catholic pedophile networks, do not believe there is something evil or Satanic going on.

Many Catholics are sickened by the role of the Roman Catholic Church, here and abroad, in pedophile rings. The new Catholic film on EWTN "The Gender Agenda" looks at homosexual and communist infiltration of the church, including the notorious Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. The McCarrick case “demands a thorough report as to how such a man with his sexual abuse history could have risen to such positions of power within the Church,” says the film. “The Church has a problem with male-on-male predation by priests.”

“The church is now engaged in a cover-up of the predatory sexual activity and corrupting practices of Theodore McCarrick, who once served as our archbishop, who has now been thrown out of the priesthood,” says one Catholic priest. “But who promoted him? Who protected him? Who did he pay off? None of that has been revealed, though it is known; it is in a report. But the Powers of Darkness in Rome keep us from knowing and it is not right.”

As a prosecutor and Attorney General in California, Biden's running mate, Kamala Harris, refused to take on sexual abuse by priests. I interviewed a victim of such abuse, noting that Harris appears to have a two-faced approach to the Catholic Church—one of scorn toward ordinary Catholics who follow traditional church teachings, such as opposition to abortion and homosexuality, and the other of deference to officials of the hierarchy who get caught in cover-ups of sexual abuse of children.

Diverting attention away from this scandal, Pope Francis has just issued an encyclical, Fratelli tutti, described by anti-communist Professor Renato Cristin as representing the theological-political adaptation of the chilling Marxian motto “Proletarians of the world unite.” The encyclical on “fraternity and friendship” attacks the greatest economic system the world has ever known—capitalism. “The fragility of world systems in the face of the pandemic has demonstrated that not everything can be resolved by market freedom,” says the leader of the Roman Catholic Church. He calls for building “the alternative social structures we need”—code for socialism.

What he’s proposing for the world is what Biden seems to want for America—a semi-permanent lockdown, based on the pretext that fighting the China virus requires it.

The pope’s embrace of Marxism helps explain why Democratic Party leaders, including “Catholic” Joe Biden, embrace Pope Francis, and why Republicans are reluctant to take on the Vatican.

This is a time for all Christians to uncover the complete truth about the pedophile rings operating here and abroad, sometimes with the protection of Catholic church officials and sometimes with the connivance of other members of the elite. It’s what Catholic Bishop Fulton J. Sheen in 1947 calledSigns of Our Times.” He referred to the emergence of “a counter-church” with “all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content.”

Catholic writer Vic Biorseth argues, “When organized, conspiratorial criminal activity crosses state lines, as do all the organized sexual abuse crimes, predominantly of a homosexual nature, committed by Catholic Clerics of all ranks and systematically covered up by them, the situation calls for a RICO [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act] investigation.”

There is the Deep State, the Swamp, and what Biorseth calls the homosexual cabal now running the Catholic hierarchy. On November 3, they are all backing Biden for president. President Trump stands in the way of their grab for total power.

Trump Didn't Create Incivility

by Bill Donohue: After watching President Trump for the past few years, New York Times columnist David Brooks recently opined that he fully expected “the country would rise up in moral revulsion” at his gruff style. He is dumbfounded at the outcome. “Trump’s behavior got worse and worse…and nothing happened.”

There are plenty of reasons why. The mainstreaming of incivility in our culture tops the list.

For several decades now, the public has become so inundated with crassness that it has become increasingly inured to expressions of it. That is why it smacks of naiveté to express horror when our elites adopt the cues of the dominant culture. This isn’t the 1950s.

Howard Stern is more than a shock-jock: He epitomizes the coarseness of our culture, and his fans are legion. Moreover, he has inspired many others to follow suit. Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher, Louis C.K., Samantha Bee—just to name a few—have contributed mightily to the dumbing-down of our culture. Just think how vile they are when compared to Lucille Ball, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Groucho Marx and Dean Martin.

It is not just the lyrics that have changed in the music world; it’s the behavior exhibited on MTV and BET. The filth of the songs is routine, as are the crotch-grabbing antics. Cardi B’s best-selling “WAP” is another index of our gutter culture, and it does not speak well of Joe Biden that he gave this vicious misogynist a high-profile interview during the Democratic National Convention. The success of Miley Cyrus is another index of our moral destitution.

“South Park” and “Family Guy” are demonstrative of our nation’s moral health, as is the popularity of non-stop “genital jokes” on network sit-coms. Movies that were once given an “R” rating are now “PG-13,” if not “PG.” And it is next to impossible for responsible parents to screen all that is available online to their children.

There was a time, not long ago, when students would be suspended from school for foul language. Now they can curse out their teachers with impunity. Worse, affluent suburban parents who are notified of the offensive behavior of their children are as likely to express umbrage at the principal as they are their child.

Social media has played a big role in corrupting our culture. The idea of liberty as license is on full display, and attempts to mitigate it are resisted. It’s cool to go against what is left of our Judeo-Christian culture, and few adults in authority are willing to confront the offenders. In the workplace, surveys show that women use the F-word more than men. Such are the fruits of equality in the age of rappers.

An array of court decisions, starting in the 1960s, did much to lower the moral bar. Incivility and indecency were redefined as freedom of expression, and the results are everywhere today. The Supreme Court ruled in 1971 that women and children waiting in line in a California courthouse had no right to protest a man standing in front of them with the inscription “F*** the Draft” on the back of his jacket.

When Rep. Rashida Tlaib called President Trump a “motherf*****,” what price did she pay? None. Why the silence? Tip O’Neill would never have allowed her to escape without a sanction.

Trump’s abandonment of established presidential etiquette has gotten out of hand on many occasions. It is easy to understand why people complain. Whether it is reason enough to negate the success of his policies, as compared to Biden’s record of 47 years, is another matter altogether.

We have a right to expect our presidents to rise above the fray. But in the end, Trump is a reflection of what our cultural elites have wrought. It is a little late in the game to cry foul at this point. We reap what we sow.

Will Maximum Covid Fear Keep Democrats at Home on Election Day?

by Robert Romano: In the closing days of the presidential campaign, amid a surge in support for President Donald Trump in many battleground state polls, media outlets are reporting rising confirmed Covid cases in states like Wisconsin and New Mexico but also nationally as the cold and flu season kicks into gear.

“Wisconsin faces Covid-19 crisis as coronavirus cases continue to rise, governor says,” reads one headline from CNN.

“New Mexico hospitals plead for public to stop COVID-19 spread, patient surge,” KRQE reports.

“Hospitals Are Reeling Under a 46 Percent Spike in Covid-19 Patients,” screams the New York Times.

Now, in reality, probable total daily new cases are down from the April peak of 282,000 to 164,000 today, a drop of 42 percent, according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), although it projects the number of cases should continue rising throughout the season.

So, here’s a question: Will maximum fear of the Covid virus suppress election turnout in 2020? Or will mail-in balloting actually end up increasing turnout? Or will turnout be about the same as it was in 2016?

So far, early and mail-in voting is far surpassing what was seen in 2016, with 81 million votes already cast, according to the U.S. Elections Project, and a significant percent of those are going to be from people who would otherwise vote in-person on Election Day. In 2016, 40.8 percent of the 136.7 million votes cast, or 55.7 million were cast early in-person or mailed in, according to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.

In-person early voting is increasing, too. 17.2 percent of the electorate in 2016 voted in-person early, and in 2020, the 28.4 million early votes already cast is 20.7 percent of overall 2016 voting. Even more will vote over the weekend, still technically early voting.

For example, in North Carolina, early and mail-in absentee voting is 760,000 greater than in 2016, at 3.86 million in 2020 so far, according to data compiled by U.S. Elections Project. In 2016, 4.7 million people voted in North Carolina, of which, 3.1 million was early or mail-in voting.

6.9 million North Carolinians were registered in 2016, and in 2020 it’s up to 7.4 million, a 500,000 increase.

Currently, Democrats in North Carolina lead Republicans early and mail-in voting by 1.49 million to 1.2 million, a rough 290,000 edge, and 1.1 million unaffiliated have voted, too. But the Democratic to Republican edge is actually less than in 2016, when it was 305,000, despite the amount of early and mail-in voting being greater. That could be good news for Republicans.

That is because Democrats actually make up a smaller percent of early and mail-in voting in North Carolina compared to 2016. So far, Democrats make up 38.6 percent, but in 2016 it was 41.7 percent. And that is because of the 1.45 million mail-in ballots requested, only 852,000 have been returned, leaving roughly 600,000 ballots unreturned: 271,000 missing ballots from Democrats, 117,000 missing ballots from Republicans and 207,000 missing unaffiliated ballots.

So, mail-in could wind up being a problem for Democrats if all of their people who otherwise would have voted in-person don’t vote. U.S. Election Project’s other numbers bear this emerging pattern of large amounts of unreturned Democratic ballots.

In Florida, Republicans lead in-person early voting by 400,000 and Democrats lead mail-in voting by 600,000, but of mail-in, Democrats have 733,000 absentee ballots yet to be mailed in that were requested, versus 553,000 for Republicans. Overall, 7.3 million have voted thus far, out of 9.4 million in 2016. And the registered voter population has increased by 1.1 million to 14 million from our years ago.

In Pennsylvania, a similar tale emerges, where Democrats have 518,000 ballots yet to be mailed in that were requested, versus 320,000 for Republicans. 6.1 million voted last time, and so far, 2.1 million have voted early or by mail. Registered voters have increased by 300,000 million to 9 million from four years ago.

So, clearly, the Covid panic has certainly increased early and mail-in absentee voting. But there is a lot of vote still out there to be had over the weekend and on Election Day.

And on that count, President Trump may have a great advantage: Republicans are less afraid of the virus than Democrats. The thinking is more Republicans will vote in-person. An Aug. 9-12 poll by Wall Street Journal/NBC News, 47 percent of Biden supporters plan on voting by mail this year, compared with just 11 percent of President Donald Trump’s supporters.

In the swing states of Florida, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, 5.3 million Democrats requested absentee ballots versus 2.9 million Republicans, and 1.7 million independents, according to the U.S. Elections Project.

That roughly breaks down to 53.5 percent of the requested mail-ins are Democratic, 29 percent are Republican and 11.6 percent are unaffiliated.

Overall, nationwide, 90.3 million ballots have been requested (this also includes California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Utah that mailed out ballots to every registered voter), but only 52.9 million of those have been returned, or 58 percent.

If the 53.5 percent Democrats voting by mail figure in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania holds nationally, of the 52.9 million ballots mailed in, only 28.3 million would be from Democrats. That could be enough, but it means they still need almost 38 million more people to vote in order to hit their 2016 total of almost 66 million.

Are Democrats hitting their hoped for numbers? It sure doesn’t look like it. If you exclude California, the Democratic vote total drops to 23.7 million. In-person voting will still be crucial for Democrats if Republicans match or exceed their 2016 totals.

Data from Gallup suggests Democrats are far more fearful of the virus: 70 percent of Democratic men and 73 percent of Democratic women say they avoid going to public places versus 31 percent of Republican men and 38 percent of Republican women.

Meaning the campaign of fear by news outlets could actually be helping Republicans by suppressing Democratic turnout more than it suppresses GOP turnout.

Does that make Republicans 2 to 1 more likely to turn out on Election Day? We’re about to find out. With only 58 percent of the vote total from 2016 in, the election will be won or lost on Election Day. The GOP’s get out the vote operations will have to be robust to overcome the Democrats’ mail-in advantage.

The presumption is that President Trump wins the votes he needs on Election Day, and there are tens of millions of Americans who have not voted yet. So, the race boils down to if Democrats mailed in enough ballots or not, and whether Republicans show up in the greater numbers they need for in-person voting on Tuesday.

Bidens Cashed In While a Pennsylvania Hospital Couldn't Care for Patients - Who Is Next

Izard County Medical Center, Arkansas
by Daniel Greenfield: The old slogan, "The Best of Care" can still be found on Ellwood City Medical Center's old promotional materials. When the pandemic began, the old rural Rust Belt country where President Trump beat Hillary Clinton could have used a hospital. Any hospital.

There was even talk of reopening the defunct hospital again to treat coronavirus patients.

But, like so much in Pennsylvania, the Ellwood City Medical Center never recovered from the Democrats. The FBI raided it in January and the hospital lost its license next month. Not that it mattered at that point because the hospital had already been shut down since December.

Despite that, the hospital managed to score $1.8 million in coronavirus relief funds.

With no hospital, local residents face a trip if they’re injured. And if the injury is bad enough, they might not survive. The closed hospital in Pennsylvania is just another piece of the Biden legacy.

In the three years since Americore CEO Grant White was allegedly introduced by James Biden to Joe Biden at a fundraiser for the Beau Biden Foundation, a charity co-chaired by Hunter Biden whose laptop bearing the foundation's sticker is at the center of a new scandal, there have been lawsuits, an FBI raid, and investigations in different cities and states.

“James Biden mentioned that his brother’s connections to labor unions and the Department of Veterans Affairs would help DMM expand its model nationwide,” a lawsuit filed by one company claims.

Mayor Anthony Court, a Democrat, recalls White constantly dropping Biden's name.

White would later claim that Biden told him, "there’s not a single door in the country that we can’t open."

James Biden, Joe’s brother, had become a principal at Americore whose business model was based on buying and turning around rural hospitals. But the turnaround was into the grave.

Obamacare had hit rural hospitals hard, forcing many of them to shut down. By Obama’s last year in office, 4% of rural hospitals had closed down, and hundreds more were on the brink. And the Bidens had figured out a way to profit from the devastation caused by Obama-Biden.

"His brother was very interested in rural health care and very interested in veterans’ health care, and it was something he really wanted to get behind," an Americore executive recalled Biden telling him. "This would help his brother get elected."

After Americore took over the Ellwood City Medical Center, it racked up over 40 citations from the Department of Health. Cardiovascular services were cut, the wound unit was closed, and access to its MRI machines was sidelined.

In 2018, James Biden was renovating his Americore office and demanding expensive furniture as part of an office that was described as a “little shrine to him and his brother and Obama.”

Utilities threatened to turn off the gas and the water at Ellwood. Instruments weren’t being sterilized because there was no equipment, and the hospital couldn’t even afford to order tests.

Things got so bad at the hospital that hazardous waste was just piling up in garbage bags.

Hospital patients might have been able to get basic care and supplies, but the money wasn’t there. Meanwhile, James Biden had allegedly made off with $650,000.

According to the Americore CEO, “Jim Biden directed me to loan him approximately $400,000 of this money for him to use to repay a past-due personal loan.”

Later, "Biden took additional amounts totaling approximately $250,000."

That was in January 2018. By the summer, Ellwood was closing departments, and by the fall, it couldn’t pay its power or gas bill. Meanwhile Biden only allegedly paid back $25,000.

James Biden had promised that the money would be coming from the Muslim world.

Biden and his partners had allegedly gone to the Qatar Investment Authority, the Islamic terror state that acts as the patron for the Muslim Brotherhood, controls Al Jazeera, whose royal family had ties to the mastermind of 9/11, and which is allied with Iran, for money for Americore.

But Qatar didn’t pay up and James Biden and his partners denied ever taking the meeting. The Americore CEO claims he was told that President Trump’s sanctions on Iran blocked the deal.

The former Americore CEO also claims to have met with Hunter and James Biden at a meeting that looked for ways to raise money from China.

“We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden,” James Biden had once boasted. There’s no denying that. How else could a college dropout and failed nightclub owner be in demand around the world, or help score a billion dollar contract to build homes in Iraq?

Together James and Hunter Biden had built a business around Joe Biden. But what happened in Pennsylvania, in St. Louis, and Arkansas ended with more than greed.

St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis had become famous as the scene of a forties exorcism that had inspired the novel and the movie, The Exorcist, but there was no one to exorcise the Bidens.

The famous hospital is another of the failed Americore properties and as it crawled agonizingly through bankruptcy, "two preventable deaths" were among the casualties. Like Ellwood, St. Alexius had to cut patient care, sacrificing its operating room, and its wound care clinic.

The hospital’s nursing school shut down and the facility was down to four contracted nurses and was operating at a fraction of its capacity.

The victims of the disaster were the largely black residents of the south St. Louis neighborhood.

St. Alexius, which began as a Catholic hospital in 1828, is now being used to house the homeless, and its bankruptcy sale has been stalled because of a state investigation triggered by an “immediate patient jeopardy” tag.

In Izard County, Arkansas, the only hospital in the county, listed as a critical access hospital, is also on the chopping block.

"We have difficulty in securing pharmaceuticals simply because of lack of money," a doctor at the hospital warned.

Last year, two medical firms sued, among others, James Biden, claiming that, "millions of dollars in funds may have been taken by these defendants outside of the ordinary course of business."

One of the men claimed that James Biden had promised to sell the plan to the White House. Instead Biden accidentally texted him a plan to defraud him even as Biden's partner was encouraging him to make up numbers to defraud a Turkish company.

Another partner was promised that their “model would be used by Joe Biden as part of his campaign.”

The “investment capital originating from and flowing through foreign entities” did not materialize, neither did Biden’s alleged promise that the company’s model “would play an integral role in health care policy at the highest levels of the United States government.”

When there were concerns about the government, the message was, “Jim told me. Don’t worry every time someone threatens to sue you you’re with us now nobody is gonna touch You,”

After they sued Biden and his partners, they received an envelope filled with "blood-stained currency from a Middle Eastern country" linked to terrorists and a "torture ticket" resulting in an FBI investigation.

But the real price is being paid in Ellwood City, in St. Louis, and Izard County.

Joe Biden has run on a promise to tackle the pandemic. But when coronavirus cases shot up 40% in Lawrence County over the summer, the Ellwood City Medical Center wasn’t there.

New cases have been rising sharply in Izard County and in St. Louis, there is one hospital less able to help and treat the sick.

“All the promises were on the Biden name,” one of the men James Biden dealt with said.

James Biden has moved on and as his brother aspires to the White House, has no doubt found new investors who “who want to invest in Joe Biden”, but in a place without a hospital, no one can move on. And when Election Day comes to Pennsylvania, that’s one place Biden won’t win.

The next time Joe Biden promises to fix healthcare, he can start in Ellwood City.

Donald Trump: Why He Deserves Four More Years

by Larry Elder: Lost on the President Donald Trump-hating pundits who weighed in on the second and final debate with former Vice President Joe Biden was Trump’s energy and focus. The man just recovered from COVID-19.

Male and 74 years old, Trump is in the “high-risk” category. His weight makes him “comorbid.” Yet, there he was, still throwing heat at the end of the standing 90-minute debate, having spoken earlier that day at a typically raucous love fest/campaign rally. Trump handily defeated Biden, who noticeably tired by the end of this second and final debate.

Yes, nearly all polls show Biden ahead both nationally and in the battleground states. Imagine where Trump would rank in the polls but for the constant, relentless negative media coverage and deranged opposition that would have suffocated the average politician. Nearly one-third of the Democratic caucus boycotted Trump’s inaugural address. Several Democrats never attended a single State of the Union speech.

Immediately after Trump’s election, Democrats attempted to invoke the 25th amendment, arguing that the real-estate-developer-turned-politician lacked the mental fitness to hold a job. To counter this perception, Trump allowed his personal physician to hold a press conference to assure the country and the world that yes, this man is actually sane.

For nearly three years, a special counsel investigated thin and, in retrospect, virtually baseless allegations of collusion, conspiracy and/or coordination with Russia to win the election and to then, presumably, become a Russian stooge. Critics called Trump “soft on Russia.”

Never mind that it was the Obama administration that, to curry favor with the Iranians and Russians, turned its back on missile agreements with Poland and the Czech Republic negotiated during the previous administration. At the beginning of the Obama administration, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced their “reset” policy, a major policy redirection to change what President Barack Obama perceived as President George W. Bush’s dangerously hawkish relationship with Russia.

It was Obama who, during the 2012 presidential debate, ridiculed opponent Mitt Romney for calling Russia our biggest geopolitical threat. It was Obama who, on a “hot mic,” told then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “This is my last election … After my election, I have more flexibility” to negotiate a missile defense treaty between our two countries.

Oh, and Trump was impeached on grounds so weak that neither Biden nor running mate Sen. Kamala Harris even bring up impeachment while campaigning.

The New York Times rabidly reported on Trump’s taxes, his critics completely indifferent as to how many laws were broken in order to secure and publish these private tax returns. That clueless “reporters” knew nothing and cared nothing about the distinction between tax evasion and tax avoidance/tax deferral explains why Trump didn’t want his returns made public.

When Trump contracted COVID-19, many Trump-hating Democrats set aside their vaunted compassion-for-the-plight-of-others to gloat that the mask-shunning, anti-science ignoramus got what he deserved. But, the SOB Trump recovered, bounced back and tested negative on the day of the second debate, where he put on a calm, determined and possibly outcome-altering debate performance.

Tech giants Google, Facebook and Twitter suppressed a New York Post “bombshell” Hunter Biden story that appears to show father Joe, despite repeated denials, knew far more about his son’s overseas deals than he told the public. Yet CNN, MSNBC and other “news outlets” claimed they doubted the authenticity of incriminating emails between Biden and others that suggest, at minimum, Joe Biden lied about knowing nothing. That the tech giants and much of the mainstream media either suppressed, ignored or minimized the New York Post story is a scandal in and of itself. This is, however, an increasingly common occurrence in this era of Trump hatred. Circle the wagons until Joe Biden crosses the finish line.

Trump received little credit for the pre-coronavirus strong economy. He got little credit for helping negotiate peace deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Sudan. In 2016, then-Secretary of State John Kerry called it fanciful to expect any kind of deal with Arab states without Palestinian involvement. Kerry was wrong. No apology forthcoming.

Trump received little credit for changing policy and pressuring Mexico into stopping the so-called caravans of migrants attempting to cross our southern border. He moved the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, fulfilling a promise made and broken by past Republican and Democratic presidents.

As for “race relations,” Trump’s list of accomplishments and policies that benefit Black Americans is long and impressive, from presiding over the best unemployment numbers for Blacks in the history of America to signing the First Step Act that allowed prisoners sentenced for crack cocaine, mostly Black men, to have their sentences substantially reduced, with over 3,100 released from prison for good conduct a few months after it passed.

Peace and prosperity normally get a president reelected. But for the last four years, our media, Hollywood, academia and Democrats have acted anything but normal. Sadly, that has become normal.
