The American Divide, More Fake News

by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author:  The American Divide - President-elect Donald Trump went to Ohio State University yesterday to comfort the victims of last week's terror attack and to praise the hero police officer who brought Abdul Razak Ali Artan's rampage to a swift end. Here's what Trump told reporters after his meeting:"This is a great honor for me today. We're in a fantastic state that I love, Ohio. And we just saw the victims and the families. These were really brave people, amazing people. The police and first responders were incredible. The job -- in particular by one young gentlemen -- was incredible. I got to meet him, and he was very brave."Kudos to Mr. Trump for making this visit. However, the rest of the news coverage of the visit shows the great divide in America.

Trump has correctly identified Artan as a radical jihadist. But according to the Washington Post, authorities remain mystified about the attack. "The FBI and local investigators are still working to determine what led Artan to the sudden violence, which left 13 people wounded," the Post tells us today.

Meanwhile, radical campus activists seemingly expressed some sympathy for the terrorist who attacked them. Wednesday, members of the OSU Coalition for Black Liberation held a rally protesting police brutality. Unbelievably, they included Artan's name during the reading of a list of recent incidents in which people of color were killed by police.

Gender studies student Maryam Abidi told the crowd, "In some cases, the deceased may have committed acts of violence against others before they were killed."

And then Ms. Abidi insisted, "The protest against police brutality extends to the innocent and the guilty alike, because we know that no matter the crime, justice and due process don't come from a cop's bullet."

My friends, this is insane. In the case of Abdul Artan, justice did come from a cop's bullet. And I make no apologies for thanking God that Officer Alan Horujko was there so quickly to dispense justice to this jihadist.

Sadly, confusion at OSU is very much like the moral equivalence we see our elites deploy so often when it comes to the Palestinian extremists and Israelis. There is a disturbing inability to differentiate between the terrorists and their victims, the murderers and the murdered.

Incredibly, some commentators are suggesting that Trump was the reason for the attack because Artan was so upset about the things Trump said about Muslims. So let's get this straight: A Muslim who didn't like Donald Trump suggesting that there may be a link between Islam and terrorism decided to commit a terrorist act and that is Trump's fault. Is that really the defense they want to offer?

But here's what really jumped out at me while reading the Post report. William Clark, a professor injured during Artan's attack, couldn't make it to Trump's meeting because he is still recovering from his wounds. But he offered this critique:"I wasn't going to jump in and say he did this because he was a jihadist terrorist. There may be a lot more to it than that .?.?. What else might have sent him over the edge for him to decide to do it? I don't think we know yet."Incredible! What would it take to convince Professor Clark? No wonder students are so confused if this is an example of the kind of instruction they are receiving.

The reaction to the OSU terror attack -- even among some of those who were attacked -- demonstrates the growing divide in America. Abdul Razak Ali Artan does not deserve to be remembered or thought of as a "victim" of anything. And the victims of Artan's vicious attack deserve to know the truth about what motivated him.

More Fake News - On a lighter note, here's a fun follow-up to our recent item on fake news.

Do you remember a couple of days ago when I mentioned this Washington Post headline: "Corporate America Unnerved By Trump"? Well, today's Washington Post front page reads: "Trump Fuels Labor Unease." So big business is worried and big labor is worried. Either Trump knows how to cover his bases or the liberal media just can't get its story straight.

I'm not a prophet, but I'm guessing that tomorrow we'll see this headline: "Elderly Fearful Of Trump." That will be followed Sunday by: "High Anxiety Among Youth Over Trump," followed by Monday with "Middle-Age Feel Abandoned By Trump."

But wait . . . There's more.

Last night on MSNBC, Brian Williams did a report lamenting the influence of fake news. Talk about chutzpah. Brian Williams is the poster boy for fake news. In fact, his reporting of fake news cost him his previous job!

Dr. Price To HHS, Are We Learning, The Left's Sickness, Reform Our Refugee Policy, Stupidity Award

by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author: Dr. Price To HHS - This morning, President-elect Trump announced his selection of Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) to be secretary of Health and Human Services. This is a crucial appointment given that HHS is one of the largest federal departments, with 78,000 employees.

The appointment of Rep. Price, who currently serves as chairman of the House Budget Committee, also sends a strong signal that Trump's commitment to repeal Obamacare is ironclad.

Before entering public office, Tom Price was a doctor. He understands the practice of medicine far better than government bureaucrats. Price has not only talked about repealing Obamacare, he has proposed legislation to do it.

In a statement announcing the selection of Rep. Price, President-elect Trump said, "Chairman Price, a renowned physician, has earned a reputation for being a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on healthcare policy. . . He is exceptionally qualified to shepherd our commitment to repeal and replace Obamacare."

The Trump transition team also announced the selection of Elaine Chao as Transportation secretary. Chao served as deputy secretary of Transportation during the first Bush Administration and as secretary of Labor under President George W. Bush.

Are We Learning? Twenty-four hours after the latest radical Islamic terror attack in America, it is worth asking what lessons, if any, we may be learning about this threat to our country.

Abdul Razak Ali Artan, the jihadist who attacked students at Ohio State University yesterday, had been ranting against America on social media. He demanded that America stop interfering in Muslim countries. Well, that's interesting because our "interfering" is limited to fighting against Islamic extremist groups like ISIS and Al-Shabaab, a Somali terror group.

Artan also didn't like the way people looked at him when he prayed in public. (Devout Muslims are required to pray five times a day.) He felt people would jump to the conclusion that he was a terrorist. Well, if anyone thought that, in view of his actions, they were not jumping to conclusions.

In 2007, Artan and his family moved from Somalia to Pakistan. I can understand why someone might choose to leave Somalia. But Pakistan isn't exactly the first choice of those yearning for pluralism and freedom. Seven years later, under our refugee program, Artan and his family arrived in the United States, joining 38,000 Somalis in Columbus, Ohio. (Did you know there were 38,000 Somali Muslims in Columbus, Ohio?)

Artan's atrocities are just the latest in a string of incidents, all of which point to a significant problem with terrorism in the Somali-American community. In February, a Somali national attacked a restaurant in Columbus owned by an Israeli Christian.

In June, three Somalis in Minneapolis were convicted on terrorism charges. The Somali community in Minneapolis is a hotbed of Islamic radicalism, producing at least three suicide bombers.

I could go on, but you get the point. All of which leads to this question: Why do we continue to import hundreds of thousands of Muslims from Third World countries who despise Judeo-Christian civilization and everything America stands for?

President-elect Donald Trump says he wants "extreme vetting" of new refugees. It remains to be seen what that process will look like. Among the many questions we should ask potential immigrants is whether they support mutilating their daughters.

The Left's Sickness - As I noted above, Abdul Artan came to America in 2014. Fairly quickly he earned a spot at Ohio State University. Was he admitted as part of some affirmative action program? Did he receive preference due to his refugee status?

Artan was recently interviewed by the student newspaper. (How many people can be interviewed in Somalia or Pakistan and speak freely without fear of reprisal?) Artan was clearly consumed with concerns about his treatment as a Muslim.

Where did Artan get the idea that he was being mistreated in America? From the political left and the media, which are constantly telling Muslims that they are victims of America's oppressive culture.

For example, National Public Radio this morning aired a story about how horrendous yesterday's attack was . . . for other Muslim students. Less than 24 hours after the latest jihadist attack, NPR thought it was really important for Americans to focus not on the victims, but on the impact of the attack on other Somalian Muslims.

The Muslim student NPR spoke with said he immediately worried about the "snide comments, peering eyes and a feeling of uneasiness" he would experience the day after the attack.

I couldn't help but wonder whether NPR has ever bothered to interview Jewish students about the "snide comments, peering eyes or feelings of uneasiness" they experience as a result of the growing Muslim and left-wing anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli sentiment on American college campuses.

Artan and his family were brought into America in the name of compassion. In the name of political correctness, we obviously did not do effective vetting. As a result, 11 people have suffered terrible wounds and will bear that trauma for the rest of their lives.

Those worried about safe spaces on campus should apologize to those victims. They lost their safe space on campus yesterday and it wasn't caused by exposure to conservative ideas.

What is the price the rest of America is supposed to pay in order for us to satisfy left-wing political correctness and corporate demands for greater and greater numbers of people coming into the country from the Islamic world?

While it is easy to attack the left and blame Barack Obama, Republicans in Congress are not blameless. Far too many of them voted for policies and programs that brought large numbers of people from places like Somalia to places like Columbus, Ohio. This foolishness must end.

Reform Our Refugee Policy - If our leaders are committed to bringing in more refugees, let me be the first to remind them that there are hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions of Christians throughout the Middle East and Africa who are persecuted and facing genocide. They live daily in fear of their Muslim neighbors.

Moreover, they often avoid refugee camps because they may be beaten and raped by the Muslims in those camps.

I can see why ideologues on the left tolerate this. But there is no excuse -- with a Republican Congress and president -- to continue the disgusting refugee policy that gives Christians the back of our hand while letting in a significant number of people who despise our values.

President Obama has claimed that a "religious test" for our refugee policy betrays our values and doesn't represent who we are. But it is Obama who is not representing our values.

Our refugee policy was intended to protect persecuted religious minorities. It specifically cites "religion" as one of the key considerations. And when it comes to helping persecuted religious minorities in the Middle East and much of Africa, Christians should be first in line.

Stupidity of the Day Award - Before any information was in about yesterday's attack at Ohio State University, several Democrats quickly jumped to conclusions. For example, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine tweeted his condemnation of "senseless gun violence."

Unfortunately for Kaine, the facts did not fit the narrative he wanted to promote. Artan turned his car into a weapon and attacked students with a butcher knife.

But a good guy with a gun -- a police officer -- used his firearm to bring the senseless violence to an end.

Fighting For Faith & Family, Vetting Failure, It's Trump's Fault

Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author: Fighting For Faith & Family - A story on the front page of today's Washington Times grabbed my attention. Here's the headline: "Faithful See Failure Of Religious Liberties From GOP Congress."

The article notes that time and again the "Republican-led Congress shirked its duty" to protect people of faith against a hostile administration. I'm glad somebody gets it. GOP elites were clueless.

How many times have I voiced my frustration with the inaction in Congress? I know how many angry emails I have read over the past eight years. In fact, this is a major reason why Donald Trump defeated two political establishment dynasties -- first the Bushes and then the Clintons.

The frustration with politics as usual boiled over in 2016. And while Donald Trump was not an obvious choice for Values Voters, he has emerged victorious, in a strong position to advance our agenda.

I won't run through the litany of disappointments in the Times story. You know many of them. And while I appreciate the constraints of the Obama White House and left-wing judges, I know many in the GOP establishment simply look for the path of least resistance at the first sign of a fight. That must change.

No more excuses. It is time to fight back and defend our values. There will be major battles ahead. The left is furiously raising money to defend the gains it has made in the past eight years. But there will be many opportunities for us to reverse the damage.

Vetting Failure - Kudos once again to Senator Charles Grassley. The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is demanding answers about the vetting process that allowed Ohio State University jihadist Abdul Razak Ali Artan to enter the country as a refugee.

Records obtained by the Judiciary Committee indicate that Artan's mother told immigration officials when she applied for asylum that she was worried her son might be recruited by Al-Shabab, an Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group based in Somalia.

In a letter sent to the Department of Homeland Security yesterday, Grassley wrote:"This information should have caused the asylum officer to conduct additional questioning of the older children to better understand ties to a group that the United States designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 2008. Further questioning could have eliminated the possibility that the asylees had dubious ties to the terrorist group and could have allowed for more robust vetting and data collection. However, although common practice in these cases, no additional questioning was conducted."President Obama and many liberals assure us that our refugee vetting process is just fine. But as Senator Grassley points out, it clearly is not.

As we have noted before, two-thirds of those convicted on terrorism-related charges since 9/11 were foreign born. In other words, tighter border controls could dramatically reduce the danger our homeland faces from radical Islamic supremacists.

Of course we should help refugees. But there are ways to go about it without endangering our security in the process.

For example, earlier this month, the House of Representatives provided $300 million for refugee assistance. But the language included a commonsense provision stating, "such funds shall not be made available for the resettlement costs of refugees in the United States."

Not only does that put our national security first, it is also more cost-effective. According to one analysis, the cost of resettling refugees to the United States is vastly more expensive than providing assistance overseas.

"It's Trump's Fault" - The left-wing media are in an uproar over "fake news," but its own bias often results in the production of blatant propaganda that is essentially fake news. Here's the latest example.

There is breaking news from CNN that a Chinese warship seized an underwater drone from an American scientific vessel. As our ship was recalling the drone, the Chinese ignored radio messages and literally pulled up alongside and snatched it.

Now, here's the kicker. Consider this closing paragraph from the CNN report:"Although it's unclear what the motivation was for the Chinese, the seizing of the drone comes on the heels of other provocative incidents that have happened since President-elect Donald Trump received a congratulatory call with Taiwan's President, a violation of the U.S.'s agreement with China's 'One China policy.'"In other words, it's Trump's fault. He insulted the One China policy, so Beijing seized our drone.

This is beyond absurd. The Chinese have been engaged in a series of "provocative incidents" for the past eight years.

They are building artificial islands and arming them so they can control navigation in the South China Sea.

They are buzzing our jets.

They are harassing U.S. ships.

They hacked our government databases.

They have infiltrated our security agencies.

They humiliated Barack Obama.

And Obama never forcefully responded to any of these incidents, which is why the Chinese continue behaving badly. But the left-wing media are now trying to convince the public that the Chinese aggression is a new development since Trump's election, which is simply a lie.

New Cabinet Picks, Already Delivering, Ohio State Jihadist & Israel, The Left-Wing

Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author:  Commerce & Treasury Picks - The Trump transition team today announced the selections of Wilbur Ross and Steve Mnuchin as Commerce and Treasury secretaries. Both men have extensive business backgrounds and greatly compliment Trump's commitment to revitalize the American economy.

Ross is well-known for investing in struggling American industries, especially U.S. steel and textile companies. He is keenly aware of the challenges foreign competition creates for U.S. industries, and he has been critical of China's aggressive trade practices. Ross is widely seen as a champion of American manufacturing, a businessman committed to America's workers.

Steve Mnuchin is a former Wall Street executive who recently jumped into the movie production business. One of the films he produced was "American Sniper," which drove the left nuts. The film was banned from some college campuses because it offended some Muslim students.

Like Trump and Ross, Mnuchin is betting big on the American economy. He is promising major tax reform, and he wants to see the U.S. economy growing at 3 to 4 percent a year. That is something Barack Obama's failed left-wing policies never achieved.

Dinner With Mitt - Donald Trump had dinner with 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney last night. Some suggested it was Romney's second audition for secretary of state. But bringing Romney into the cabinet is proving controversial.

Kellyanne Conway, along with Steve Bannon, really turned Donald Trump's campaign around. Conway has been very critical of Romney. On CNN Sunday, she said this:"I'm all for party unity, but I'm not sure we have to pay for that with the secretary of state position. It's just breathtaking in scope and intensity the type of messages I've received from all over the country . . . the number of people who feel betrayed to think that Gov. Romney would get the most prominent cabinet post after he went so far out of his way to hurt Donald Trump."Speaking on Fox News, former Speaker Newt Gingrich echoed Conway's concerns, saying that most Trump supporters "will be enormously disappointed if he brought Mitt Romney into any position of authority." Newt went on to repeat some of the truly nasty things that Romney said about Trump, things he never said about Barack Obama.

Like Conway and Gingrich, I am also hearing a lot of opposition from conservative movement leaders to the notion of Mitt Romney as secretary of state. While few would question Romney's competence, his loyalty and commitment to Trump's agenda would be highly suspect.

Already Delivering - Donald Trump has yet to take office and he is already delivering on his promise to save American jobs. Late last night, Trump tweeted, "I will be going to Indiana on Thursday to make a major announcement concerning Carrier A.C. staying in Indianapolis. Great deal for workers!"

Carrier confirmed the news in its own tweet stating, "We are pleased to have reached a deal with President-elect Trump & VP-elect Pence to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indy."

This is great news for several reasons. Many Carrier workers have devoted years to this company and they were facing the prospect of losing their livelihoods.

But there is also great political symbolism. Donald Trump has an opportunity to make these blue collar voters not just temporary visitors in the GOP, but permanent residents in a new governing coalition.

As I have repeatedly argued, if values voters and blue collar populists can unite, they can keep the left out of power for decades. It won't be easy. The GOP establishment will resist on many issues. But as McCain and Romney demonstrated, much of the establishment's message is a losing message.

Free trade, open borders, marginal tax rates and cuts to your mother's Social Security check really don't inspire many people. But Reagan/Trump populism can have tremendous appeal.

Speaking Of Appeal. . . Every time our media and cultural elites berate Donald Trump for saying something "stupid and scary," it is a good bet that he just said something important, but the left doesn't get it. Trump instinctively connects with Middle Americans in a way reminiscent of Ronald Reagan.

Trump has the media in fits for tweeting the following: "Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag -- if they do, there must be consequences -- perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!"

He was reacting to a controversy raging at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. Radical students lowered the flag to half-staff on November 9th to protest the election results. Then they burned it. Then the college decided that no flags would be flown, essentially banning Old Glory.

Hundreds of people, including many veterans, showed up to protest this nonsense. Even some Democrats are outraged.

But largely without explaining the context, the media began hyperventilating about Trump's tweet. MSNBC this morning was streaming at the bottom of the screen, "Trump recommends two illegal acts against those who burn the American flag."

No he wasn't. Trump merely offered his view about what the law should be. And I guarantee you that in much of the country where people are still proud to be Americans, unlike in the faculty lounges of many colleges, they nodded in agreement with Trump's sentiments.

This is what the values voter, populist coalition looks like. Faith, family and freedom isn't just a slogan. It is a way of life for millions of Americans.

Ohio State Jihadist & Israel - Earlier this week, the U.S. suffered another likely "lone wolf" attack by an ISIS-inspired jihadist at Ohio State University. Abdul Razak Ali Artan posted an anti-American rant on social media before attacking his fellow students. Eleven people were seriously injured when Artan rammed his car into a crowd of students and then went on a stabbing spree.

Using vehicles and knives to wage jihad is not a new phenomenon. Israel has been the target of such attacks by Palestinian extremists for over a year, while the Obama Administration and European governments have remained virtually silent or have blamed Israel. American citizens, including Taylor Force and Hallel Yaffa Ariel, were among those killed in the "stabbing intifada."

Western governments must wake up! Virtually every tactic deployed against Israel soon ends up being used against America and Europe.

The Left-wing Mindset - Here's a story that is sure to get your blood boiling.

Several conservative media outlets are reporting that an official at Ohio State University posted a Facebook message urging compassion for the jihadist attacker.

The official wrote that Artan "was a Buckeye, a member of our family." She went on to urge those tempted to "celebrate his death" to instead "Think about the pain he must have been in to feel that his actions were the only solution."

An OSU spokesman refused to comment on the official's remarks, saying, "This is clearly not an official university statement."

It is beyond bizarre that this official couldn't help feeling concerned by the fact that some co-workers might be angry with the attempted murderer. If we don't overcome this left-wing nonsense, a lot more people will be in pain.

The left's idea of compassion isn't going to stop ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad from inflicting pain. What will stop the pain radical Islam is inflicting across the globe is the same thing that stopped it at Ohio State University -- courageous men and women who are willing to do what must be done to stop such evil.

Florida Man Has Fender Bender In Manhattan

by Ann Coulter: A man in a Home Depot truck deliberately drove into a bike path in lower Manhattan on Tuesday, mowing down cyclists and pedestrians, crashed into a school bus, then fled the truck, brandishing fake guns and shouting "Allahu akbar!" He was shot by a policeman and taken to the hospital. At least eight people were left dead and many more injured.

Those are the facts, but facts don't matter. In cases like this, what counts is the spin. The post-Islamic-attack commentary goes more like this ...

So far, the only concrete information we have about the driver is that he was a lone attacker, he is from Florida, and he has recently been living in New Jersey.

In the bubble of your white-skinned privilege, I know you badly wanted this to be a dark-skinned person, a foreigner -- the "other" -- but you're just going to have to accept the fact that the driver was a guy from Florida. Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- just another homegrown terrorist.

Going forward, our most urgent task as a country is to figure out how to defeat Islamophobia. I plan to spend the rest of the week shaming Islamophobes on Twitter and Facebook.

For clarity, immediately after the incident, sources inside the New York Police Department debunked the "terrorism" narrative, saying that it was an incident of road rage between two truck drivers. At a press conference hours later, Police Commissioner James O'Neill refused to confirm whether the suspect had shouted "Allahu akbar" and declined to state the attacker's name or nationality.

I don't know why, since he's from Florida. But the bigotry of Islamophobia doesn't always pay attention to details.

Contrary to the toxic delusions of Faux News hosts, white men are a BIGGER domestic terrorist threat than Muslim foreigners.

Here's a recent tally:

Fort Hood massacre, Nov. 5, 2009: Nidal Malik Hasan -- VIRGINIA MAN

Boston Marathon bombing, April 15, 2013: Tamerlan Anzorovich Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Anzorovich Tsarnaev -- MASSACHUSETTS MEN

San Bernardino slaughter, Dec. 2, 2015: Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik -- ILLINOIS MAN (AND WIFE)

Pulse nightclub massacre, June 12, 2016: Omar Mir Seddique -- NEW YORK MAN

Ohio State car and knife attack, Nov. 28, 2016: Abdul Razak Ali Artan -- OHIO MAN

Charlottesville car attack, Aug. 12, 2017: James Alex Fields Jr. -- OHIO MAN

Oops, no! I mean: WHITE SUPREMACIST, ALT-RIGHT NEO-NAZI James Alex Fields Jr.

Manhattan truck attack, Oct. 31, 2017: Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- FLORIDA MAN

Although some of these assailants were born elsewhere, "extreme vetting" is not only racist, but most important, it doesn't work. An intelligence assessment by the Department of Homeland Security in March of this year found that most foreign-born U.S. terrorists become "radicalized" only after living in America for a number of years. Traditional masculinity, whiteness and heteronormativity are the root causes of terrorism.

Chillingly, Tuesday's attack was predicted by an ad released just a day earlier against Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie. The ad, produced by the Latino Victory Fund, shows a white man in a pickup truck with a Confederate flag and a Gillespie campaign sticker chasing down innocent Hispanic and Muslim children.

We don't yet know if all the victims of Tuesday's attack were Mexican children.

The truth is, we are, as Phil Donahue used to say, a deeply racist society. If the perpetrator -- again, Florida man Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- was a person of color, this just proves it. Sayfullo was probably so ground down by Islamophobia that he felt the only option left to him was the event in lower Manhattan. This incident encapsulates the breadth of the battle against racism we have to fight every day in this country.

Perhaps Sayfullo could be faulted for blocking the bikers' lane, but the rest was the natural reaction to a society where, night after night, Fox News hosts indoctrinate viewers in irrational hatred toward "Islamic extremism."

Since announcing his candidacy, Donald Trump has done very little to make Muslims feel their space is safe. Immediately after the election, the Southern Poverty Law Center documented 140,849 reports of hijabs being ripped off marginalized Muslim women on college campuses across the nation.

Ironically, Trump wants to end the very "diversity lottery" that allowed Sayfullo to come to this country in the first place! The LAST thing we want to do is alienate members of this community. We need more members of the community to come here, so they can warn us about other members of their community.

New York's bad-ass governor, Andrew Cuomo, said it best: NEW YORKERS WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED. Ordinary people who don't have security guards will have to learn to live with the occasional "terrorist attack." True patriotism is having faith in this country's ability to respond creatively, with extra airport screening, bollards, closed circuit cameras, check points, heavy policing and fewer public events.

If we truly, as a country, are committed to the American ideal of justice and equality for all, we can't wait until a crisis happens to build bridges, educate, counteract false narratives and foster peace.

I want to believe that a massive re-education program about white privilege would work. But at this point, we might have sunk too deep into our own Eurocentric entitlement for white people to begin to unpack their privilege.

What I would really like to have, but despair of ever having, is an honest conversation about race, requiring white Americans to sit down and patiently listen to hours and hours of angry denunciations of their privilege.

Perhaps the Latino Victory Fund could lead it.

But unfortunately, we are a nation of cowards. I know it takes balls to say that, but, like Gov. Cuomo, I am all balls.
