The Insanity Of Radical Islam

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva
by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death Friday for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others. There was no doubt about his guilt. Tsarnaev's defense lawyers did not even try to portray him as innocent. Instead they attempted to blame his actions on the influence of his older brother.

This much is absolutely clear: The radical Islamic household they grew up in had an influence on both of them. When Zubeidat Tsarnaeva learned of her son's sentence, she condemned America in an online rant. Here is some of what she wrote:"we are the ones who will rejoice when Allah grants us the chance to behold [America] in the flames of an eternal and terrifying fire. . . I love my sons. With this love I will stand in front of Allah. Thank you dear and may Allah be happy with you."No amount of prattling by a clueless president or a Boston district attorney about terrorism having nothing to do with religion will change reality. It will only confuse many Americans about what we should be doing.

For example: As long as we continue to insist that acts of jihad have nothing to do with Islam, it sounds extreme to suggest that we ought to limit immigration from Muslim countries.

The Tsarnaev family sought refuge here from the ethnic fighting in the former Soviet Union. Their sons showed their gratitude by killing and maiming scores of Americans. The Somali families who settled in Minneapolis have many decent, hardworking members among them. But we know that area is perhaps the biggest recruiting center for jihadists.

There is no conceivable immigration system that can conduct adequate background checks on the millions of people being brought into the country under various legal schemes, let alone all the illegal immigrants we know absolutely nothing about. Not surprisingly, the FBI says that it is investigating ISIS recruits in all 50 states.

Given that the Islamic world is seething with anti-American, anti-Christian and anti-Semitic worldviews, it is societal insanity -- bordering on suicide -- not to limit the number of immigrants from Muslims nations. And yet in the middle of this resurgence of radical Islam, we are actually increasing the number of Muslim immigrants.

Controlling our borders and having responsible immigration policies is just common sense. There is something deeply wrong when neither political party is willing to make this case in the interest of national security.

Bernie Sanders Says Boston Marathon Bomber Has Right to Vote

by Susan Jones: Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, told a CNN town hall on Monday night that "every person has a right to vote," even people who have been convicted and imprisoned for committing acts of murder and terrorism, even the Boston Marathon bomber.

On April 15, 2013, two pressure cooker bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people, maiming 16, and leaving many more injured. The surviving suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was sentenced to death.

Sanders laid out his position on this in response to a pointed question posed to him by a Harvard student--who specifically asked if he would permit the imprisoned Boston Marathon bomber to vote. When moderator Chris Cuomo followed up to make certain Sanders really was saying "the Boston Marathon bomber should vote, not after he pays his debt to society, but while he's in jail," Sanders would not back down.

"Look--this is what I believe," Sanders said. "Do you believe in democracy? Do you believe that every single American 18 years of age or older who is an American citizen has the right to vote?

"Once you start chipping away at that–believe me, that's what our Republican governors all over this country are doing--they're coming up with all kinds of excuses why people of color, young people, poor people can't vote, and I will do everything I can to resist it.

"This is a democracy. We’ve got to expand that democracy, and I believe every single person does have the right to vote." Even "terrible people," he said.

The answer came after Harvard student Anne Carlstein asked Sanders: "You have said that you believe that people with felony records should be allowed to vote while in prison. Does this mean you would support enfranchising people like the Boston marathon bomber, a convicted terrorist and murderer? Do you think that those convicted of sexual assault should have the opportunity to vote for politicians who could have a direct impact on women's rights?"

Here's his full response:
Thank you for the question.

And let me just say this. What our campaign is about and what I believe is creating a vibrant democracy. Today, as you may know, we have one of the lowest voter turnouts of any major country on Earth. I want to see us have one of the highest voter turnouts.

And by the way, what we are seeing is more young people getting involved in the political process, but not enough. And in my view, if young people voted at the same percentage that older people voted in this country, we would transform this nation.

But to get to your point. We live in a moment where cowardly Republican governors are trying to suppress the vote. And in fact, right here, as you may know, in New Hampshire, the Legislature and the governor are working hard to make it more difficult for young people to vote.

And to me, that is incredibly undemocratic, un-American process, and I say to those people, by the way, if you don't have the guts to participate in free and fair elections, you should get another job and get out of politics.

All right? (Applause) So, here is -- to answer your question:

As it happens, in my own state of Vermont, from the very first days of our state's history, what our constitution says is that everybody can vote. That is true. So people in jail can vote.

Now here is my view. If somebody commits a serious crime -- sexual assault, murder, they're going to be punished. They may be in jail for 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, their whole lives. That's what happens when you commit a serious crime.

But I think the right to vote is inherent to our democracy. Yes, even for terrible people. Because once you start chipping away and you say, well, that guy committed a terrible crime, not going to let him vote; well, that person did that; not going to let that person vote -- you're running down a slippery slope.

So I believe that people who commit crimes, they pay the price. When they get out of jail, I believe they certainly should have the right to vote. But I do believe, even if they are in jail, they're paying their price to society, but that should not take away their inherent American right to participate in our democracy.
Host Chris Cuomo followed up, asking Sanders if he’s sure that someone like the Boston marathon bomber should be allowed to vote -- not after he pays his debt to society, but while he's in jail. “Are you sure about that?" Cuomo asked.

"Well, Chris, I think I have written many 30-second opposition ads throughout my life. This will be just another one,” Sanders responded.

“But I do believe – look -- this is what I believe. Do you believe in democracy? Do you believe that every single American 18 years of age or older who is an American citizen has the right to vote?

"Once you start chipping away at that – believe me, that's what our Republican governors all over this country are doing -- they're coming up with all kinds of excuses why people of color, young people, poor people can't vote, and I will do everything I can to resist it.

"This is a democracy -- we’ve got to expand that democracy, and I believe every single person does have the right to vote."

The terrorists behind the Boston Marathon attack were two brothers who came to this country from the former Soviet Republican of Kyrgyzstan. The elder brother died in a shootout as police moved in to arrest him. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, now 25, was found hiding in a boat in a suburban backyard several days after the terror attack. He is now appealing his conviction on the grounds that his trial should have been move outside the city where the attack happened.

Dzhokhar is a naturalized citizen; his late brother had applied for citizenship.

Bernie Wants The Boston Marathon Bomber To Vote

. . . And is promptly denounced by, of all people, Cher.
by Matthew Vadum: Democrat 2020 presidential primary frontrunner Sen. Bernie Sanders seemed hellbent on ending his candidacy early this week when he endorsed giving still-imprisoned rapists, terrorists, and murderers under sentence of death like Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the right to vote.

Sanders’ comments were the latest in a free-wheeling Democrat contest in which nearly every day brings a policy proposal kookier than the last, whether it is the Green New Deal, which would deindustrialize and pauperize America, the bankrupting “Medicare for All” proposal, or gun control by executive order.

The remarks by Sanders prompted Hollywood left-winger Cher to tweet denunciations of the senator to her millions of Twitter followers.

“Does Bernie Sanders really believe [people] in prison who are murderers!? Rapists!? Child Molesters!? Boston bombers… still deserve the right to vote!?”

Cher, who recently tweeted that Los Angeles should tend to its homeless before welcoming in those who seek asylum, wrote that convicted child molesters, rapists, and murderers of any race shouldn’t be able to “keep [their] right to vote.”

The singer was responding to a townhall meeting broadcast by CNN April 22 at which Harvard student Anne Carlstein asked the self-described socialist senator from Vermont if he supports “enfranchising people” such as “those convicted of sexual assault,” as well as Tsarnaev, whom she described as a “convicted terrorist and murderer.”

Tsarnaev, a Muslim immigrant from Kyrgyzstan, was convicted and sent to death row for the April 15, 2013 pressure-cooker bombing close to the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Three people died and many more were injured.

Sanders walked right into the trap, answering in the affirmative.

The senator said:
And let me just say this. What our campaign is about and what I believe is creating a vibrant democracy. Today, as you may know, we have one of the lowest voter turnouts of any major country on Earth. I want to see us have one of the highest voter turnouts.

And by the way, what we are seeing is more young people getting involved in the political process, but not enough. And in my view, if young people voted at the same percentage that older people voted in this country, we would transform this nation.

And to me, that is incredibly undemocratic, un-American process, and I say to those people, by the way, if you don't have the guts to participate in free and fair elections, you should get another job and get out of politics.

All right? So, here is -- to answer your question:

But I do believe, even if they are in jail, they're paying their price to society, but that should not take away their inherent American right to participate in our democracy.

Sanders acknowledged to host Chris Cuomo that his answer could hurt his chances in the election.

“Well, Chris, I think I have written many 30-second opposition ads throughout my life. This will be just another one,” Sanders said.
But I do believe – look -- this is what I believe. Do you believe in democracy? Do you believe that every single American 18 years of age or older who is an American citizen has the right to vote?

Once you start chipping away at that – believe me, that's what our Republican governors all over this country are doing -- they're coming up with all kinds of excuses why people of color, young people, poor people can't vote, and I will do everything I can to resist it.

This is a democracy -- we’ve got to expand that democracy, and I believe every single person does have the right to vote.
Cher isn’t the only public figure to call out Sanders.

Former CNN host and DailyMail.com editor-at-large Piers Morgan told Tucker Carlson on Fox News Channel that Sanders’ remarks were “utter lunacy.”

“I couldn't really believe what I was hearing. This is a guy, frontrunner as you said, to be the potential nominee for the Democratic Party to beat Donald Trump, that's their plan and what they want to do. And their main selling point right now on a CNN townhall is they want the Boston Marathon bomber to be able to vote while he is in prison? While he is on death row?"

Sanders in leading the pack in the race for the Democrats’ presidential nomination in New Hampshire, home of the first-in-the-nation primaries, according to a University of New Hampshire Granite State Poll released earlier this week.

Sanders garnered 30 percent support from likely Democratic primary voters, beating former Vice President Joe Biden (18 percent), South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg (15 percent), Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts (5 percent), Sen. Kamala Harris of California (4 percent), Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas (3 percent). Tied at 2-percent support were Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio, and New York entrepreneur Andrew Yang. Tied at 1-percent support were Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Reps. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii and Eric Swalwell of California, and Miramar, Florida Mayor Wayne Messam.

But the primaries in New Hampshire are still 10 months away.

Anything can happen.

Fractured US Intelligence Rules out Greater Cooperation with Russia

Following the recent bombing in Boston there has been a great deal of talk in the mainstream media about the U.S. and Russia working closer on intelligence sharing – but this optimism really is unfounded and such a partnership will not happen. James Stafford, Editor, Oilprice.com shared the following very interesting analysis with the ARRA News Service.

by Jen Alic, Oilprice.com: The US intelligence community is in a state of disarray—most recently illustrated by the Boston Marathon Bombings—and the idea of a more structured cooperation with Russian intelligence as a direct result of this incident is a paper tiger.

The mainstream US media has latched on to the idea of a new era of US-Russian intelligence cooperation as a result of the Chechen connection to the Boston bombing because this is an attractive post-Cold War idea that makes for good headlines.

The reality is clearly less dramatic. The mounting US intelligence failures since 9/11 can in large part be contributed to a lack of cooperation among US agencies themselves. Adding increased cooperation on a clearly structured level with external agencies simply isn’t feasible.

This idea is even trumping the blame game over Boston that will seek to determine whose intelligence failure this really was and who was responsible for the root causes of the incident: Russia or the US?

Last week, police arrested 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (of Chechen origins) after a shootout that left the other suspect, his 26-year-old brother Tamerlan, dead. There are, however, varying versions of this story, some of which say the shootout was against an unarmed man. According to investigators, Dzhokhar has admitted under interrogation that he and his brother were on route to New York to conduct a second attack when they were stopped by police. They blame the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for their radicalization. But there are plenty of unanswered questions here.

Both brothers were on Russian and US watch lists, and a six-month trip a year ago to Dagestan, a hotbed of Islamic radicalism in Russia’s North Caucasus, was on everyone’s radar.

Russia says it didn’t have any substantive evidence to hand over to US intelligence agencies on the two brothers; likewise, US agencies had nothing conclusive prior to the attack. Indeed, Dzhokhar, by all accounts, was nothing more than a student studying marine biology at a Boston University, on an academic scholarship.

Try as it might to get the US to become more fully engaged in what the Kremlin calls the “international terrorist threat” emanating from its North Caucasus, the US is not positioned to take the bait.

US intelligence services remain only partially reformed and budgetary warfare among other things keeps agencies from sharing their intelligence to prevent incidents such as the Boston Marathon Bombing.

A brief look at the intelligence failures from 9/11 onwards illustrates this predicament clearly. The 9/11 attack itself represented the failure of the US intelligence community to determine the wider threat posed by transnational terrorism, but the 9/11 Commission also strongly noted the prevailing problems of bureaucratic rivalries. The information was there, but politics and inter-agency rivalry kept it from being spread.

Likewise, the 2009 Christmas Day “underwear” bombing attempt by a Nigerian on board a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit was only thwarted because of the passengers. US intelligence played no role in the event, and a Senate Select Committee noted 14 intelligence failures over this incident. Among those failures were competing intelligence priorities. The suspect, after all, was on the US database of suspected terrorists, but his name was not on a “no-fly” list or other lists that would have subjected him to more security scrutiny. None of these lists is synchronized.

That same year, we have the Fort Hood shooting, when US Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at the Texas military base, killing 13 people. Information that Hasan was actually being monitored by US intelligence prior to this shooting was never shared with Army counterintelligence which could have prevented the incident.

Then we have the Arab Spring, which snuck up on the US intelligence community. It went viral on the internet before US intelligence caught on.

The bottom line is that there are too many turf wars among US intelligence agencies to boost cooperation between US and Russian intelligence in any structured manner. The two countries already share intelligence to some extent in relation to the “war on terror”, but this will remain limited for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that the US intelligence community itself is not cohesive.

And in terms of “competing intelligence,” it would be wise to keep in mind that the FBI was monitoring Tsnaraev for five years, and still asked the US public to help them identify the suspects.

There are also a number of reports that will never been truly confirmed that a counter-terrorist drill that included bomb-sniffing dogs was actually taking place during the Boston Marathon.

The flurry of stories about a potential ramp up of US-Russian intelligence cooperation present a topical diversion from the chaos surrounding the Boston bombing—and little else.

How Does Immigration Reduce Mass Shootings?

Ann Coulter signs "Adios America!"
 for ARRA News Service editor.
by Ann Coulter: With the media frantically hiding the content of Donald Trump's terrorism speech from last week, he should respond to every question with the central point of that speech: How does this kind of immigration make our country better? How does it make the country safer?

Media: Show us your tax returns!

Trump: Show me how our immigration policies are good for the people who already live here.

Media: Tell us why you fired Corey Lewandowski!

Trump: Tell me how our immigration policies are making the country safer for the people who already live here.

Media: How are you going to match Hillary's corporate fundraising?

Trump: How are our immigration policies helping the people who already live here?

Sooner or later people will say, "That's a good question -- why is this necessary?"

When the Third World immigrants admitted under Sen. Teddy Kennedy's 1965 Immigration Act -- as well as their children -- commit mass murder, the government and media tell us it's a gun problem. Or it's "our" culture. Or it's "homophobia." Or we have to keep admitting millions of Muslims because otherwise the ones already here will REALLY hate us.

Isn't that extortion? We've already admitted millions of Muslim immigrants, but if we don't take in millions more, the ones we've admitted will go on killing sprees?

How did we get in the position where we're screwed if we're not in the good graces of the Muslim community? Maybe we should stop doing that.

As any competent health professional will tell you, prevention is always better than a cure. No one says, Go ahead and have sex with that syphilitic whore -- we've got a cure! You don't need to worry about a leaky roof -- we've got mops!

They know that's not a good argument, which is why the media refuse to tell you what Trump actually said in his terrorism speech.

Like defendants with a losing case being forced to cough up bits of discovery, it took the FBI a week to release a redacted transcript of the Orlando shooter's 911 call pledging allegiance to ISIS. Even then, the first version came from George Orwell's Ministry of Truth: "I pledge allegiance to (omitted), may God protect him (in Arabic), on behalf of (omitted)."

That was too much even for Speaker Paul "That's Not Who We Are" Ryan, prompting the FBI to produce the full version of at least one of Omar's calls. (It turns out, he wasn't pledging allegiance to Wayne LaPierre or Phyllis Schlafly.)

To hide the epidemic of immigrant mass murders, all the lists have to include massacres from a time when there weren't many immigrants here -- before Kennedy's Immigration Act had fully kicked in and overwhelmed our country with the Third World. Fox News ran a chart compiled by Mother Jones magazine that includes mass shootings from the 1980s. Why not the 1960s? Why not include Bonnie and Clyde?

Could we look at mass murders from the last decade?

Those include: [Editor Note: The following list is even much worse; the wounder and permanently injured & scared is not detailed.]

2016: Orlando, Florida, second-generation Afghan immigrant Omar Mateen -- 49 dead;

2015: San Bernardino, California, first- and second-generation Pakistani immigrants Tashfeen Malik and Syed Farook -- 14 dead;

2015: Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kuwaiti immigrant Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez -- 5 dead;

2014: Isla Vista, California, half-Malaysian immigrant from England, Elliot Rodger -- 6 dead;

2013: The Boston Marathon, Chechen immigrants Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev -- 4 dead;

2009: Fort Hood, Texas, Palestinian second-generation immigrant Nidal Hasan -- 13 dead;

2009: Binghamton, New York, Vietnamese immigrant Jiverly Wong -- 13 dead;

2007: Virginia Tech, South Korean immigrant Seung-Hui Cho -- 32 dead.

In the same time period, about a half-dozen mass murders were committed by American white men in their own country, where -- despite Teddy Kennedy's best efforts -- they far outnumber Vietnamese, Pakistanis and Afghans.

All the American shooters were visible nut cases, who never should have been let out of a straight-jacket. Their psychotic episodes wouldn't even count as mass shootings if committed by immigrants. Pakistani Naveed Haq's 2006 mass shooting at the Seattle Jewish Federation, for example, isn't generally included on lists of terrorist attacks because, according to his parents, he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was on lithium.

Why do we need this? How are our current immigration policies helping the people who already live here? How are they making our country better, stronger, safer?

The operation to remake our country began with lies and has been sustained with lies ever since. Teddy Kennedy swore up and down that his 1965 Immigration Act would preserve America's traditional "ethnic mix" and would not "inundate" our country with people from "deprived nations."

In fact, his law brought in the poorest of the poor, from the most dysfunctional cultures in the world, and effected the most dramatic demographic transformation of any nation in all of human history.

But today, you're Hitler if you support Teddy Kennedy's original claims about his own bill.

President Obama, Meet Hasna Aitboulahcen

by Newt Gingrich: “Apparently, they’re scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America as part of our tradition of compassion.” That was President Obama speaking in the Philippines this week, criticizing Republican presidential candidates for their concerns about the program resettling Syrian refugees in the United States.

It’s hard to think of a comment that more perfectly captures the willful blindness of our elites toward the threat of Islamist terrorism.

The President made the remarks just days after the attacks in Paris were carried out by at least one person who infiltrated the country pretending to be a refugee from the conflict in Syria. And Obama’s comment came just hours before Turkey announced it had arrested 8 ISIS terrorists who were planning to travel to Germany posing as Syrian refugees.

Clearly the concern President Obama was mocking is far from a laughing matter. On the contrary, it’s his flippant dismissal of the threat that is delusional.

His intended point was misguided enough. But the specific examples he chose were even more revealing of his lack of understanding–intended as they were to accuse Republicans of being afraid of women and children.
Unfortunately for the President’s alternative version of reality, not long after he made his crack, French police launched a raid on an apartment associated with the Paris attacks, resulting in the death of a female jihadist inside the flat.
Her name was Hasna Aitboulahcen, and what we know about her so far illustrates exactly what is so dangerous about the virulent ideology that is attacking Western civilization.

Hasna was not exactly your stereotypical portrait of a terrorist. Her friends and family described her as a “party girl” who drank alcohol and had multiple boyfriends. As the Washington Post reports:

“We saw her quite often and we called her ‘The Cowgirl’ because she was always wearing a large hat,” one neighbor said. Aitboulahcen rarely visited the mosque, and her brother told authorities that he had not once seen her open up a Koran, CNN reports…

Lately, she had taken to calling herself a jihad fanatic. Last June, she posted a photo of herself in a niqab with the caption (using French shorthand): “I will soon go to syria [sic] inchallah [God willing] soon I will leave for turkey.”
That an “outgoing French girl” can turn quickly into a violent jihadist who apparently aided in the Paris attacks tells us how powerful and unpredictable the ideology can be–drawing in not just angry, young and underprivileged Middle Eastern men, but also Parisian girls who were thought to have “loved life.”

President Obama was hardly on stronger ground when he mocked Americans for concerns about even children coming from Syria. The perpetrators of one of the most famous recent terror attacks on U.S. soil, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev–Islamist terrorists who set off bombs at the Boston Marathon in 2013–came to the United States child asylum seekers. A relatively normal childhood in America did not prevent them from being radicalized.

That President Obama dismisses the potential threat from terrorists posing as Syrian refugees is alarming enough. But that he managed to do so in a way that betrayed a fundamental misunderstanding of the Islamist threat is almost disqualifying. Clearly he has learned nothing from these attacks. Thankfully, most of America has.

Carter Page: Agent 000

by Ann Coulter: If you've been watching MSNBC and, consequently, have no idea what was in the CONTROVERSIAL! DISPUTED! AMATEURISH! memo released by the House Intelligence Committee (the "Nunes memo"), here is a brief summary:

The Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee paid a Trump-hating British private eye, Christopher Steele, to produce a "dossier" on Trump, relying on Russian sources.

The Department of Justice used the unverified dossier to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against Carter Page, an alleged "foreign policy adviser" to Donald Trump and the last frayed thread of the Russian collusion story. The FISA court was not told who had paid Steele to create the "salacious and unverified" dossier -- in the words of the showboating former FBI Director James Comey -- much less about Steele's personal hatred of Trump.

After 18 months of steely-eyed investigation, the only parts of the dossier that have been "confirmed" are bland factual statements -- Moscow is a city in Russia -- while the untrue parts are anything having to do with Trump or his associates.

As New York Times national security reporter Matthew Rosenberg explained to MSNBC's easily excited Chris Hayes last March:

"Both journalists and others who had copies of it for a long time have not been able to report much of it out. We've heard that, you know, the FBI and the Intelligence Community believe about 30 percent of it may be accurate, but most of that 30 percent, if not all, has been non-Trump stuff."

Four points:
1. The only reason the hapless Carter Page was mentioned by Trump as a "foreign policy adviser" during the campaign was that the media and "foreign policy community" (FPC) threatened to excommunicate any FPC types who went near Trump, the better to laugh at him for having no decent foreign policy advisers.

Danielle Pletka, with the "conservative" American Enterprise Institute, expressed the FPC's disdain, telling the Times: "It's always surprising when a member of our relatively tightly knit community is willing to sacrifice their reputation to stand with someone like Donald Trump."

This is standard procedure for the left, akin to how they treat black Republicans. Step One: Viciously attack any black person who works for a Republican. Step Two: Mock the GOP for being all white.

Their slanders against Trump worked! No one from the FPC would associate with him, so in a moment of desperation, Trump read five names off a list, including Page's, during an interview with The Washington Post.

The New York Times, the next day:

"Top Experts Confounded by Advisers to Trump ...

"... the Republican foreign policy establishment looked at them and had a pretty universal reaction: Who?

"... even Google offered little but outdated biographies of Mr. Trump's new cast of experts ...

"... None have spoken to their new boss."

This has led to an inane media narrative, with Page being simultaneously portrayed as an all-powerful spy of Kim Philby proportions -- but also a laughable nobody. Or, as a Russian spy described him in an intercepted conversation back in 2013: "An idiot."

2. No one ever checks anything in Hollywood. You could go around claiming to have written "Gone With the Wind," and you'll never be busted.

It's the same in Washington, D.C., only worse. Contrary to the self-admiring cliche about Washington being a city that runs on power, almost no one in D.C. has any real power, so it's a city that runs on suck-uppery and B.S. I personally know of five people who claim to be advising the president, who aren't, and I don't get out much.

That's why Page won't just come out and say: DONALD TRUMP HAS NO EARTHLY IDEA WHO I AM.

3. The use of the federal government's spying powers against an American citizen is yet another problem of unrestricted, unvetted immigration.

The only reason the FOREIGN Intelligence Surveillance Act can be used against American citizens in the first place is that we have all these "American citizens," like Omar Mateen (Pulse nightclub), Syed Farook (San Bernardino), Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (Boston Marathon), and Abdulrahman al-Awlaki (killed by Obama drone strike in Yemen).

Maybe like California's new "Real" I.D. cards -- required by the federal government because the state gives driver's licenses to illegals -- we could start distinguishing "American Citizens" from "Real American Citizens."

Because of this confusion, the FISA court that was supposed to be used against terrorists and spies is instead being used against Trump supporters. Here's Malcolm Nance, terrorism analyst, smugly warning Page back in March 2017 on MSNBC:

"I have a message for him, all right? U.S. intelligence is not going to be coming at him like a lawyer, right? We will turn on the entire power of the U.S. collection system. And if he is lying, it is going to become very well-known very quickly. ... If there's a FISA warrant out there ... we have the ability to collect anything on him, including all of his finances and every relationship he has with anybody in this world."

If only the federal government were as gung-ho about spying on terrorists as it is to spy on Page, the FBI might not be a complete laughingstock right now. (My late father, an FBI agent, is rolling in his grave.)

The FBI will still miss the next 9/11, but at least no one is going to forget to file with the Foreign Agents Registration Act anytime soon.

4. Rep. Trey Gowdy recently defended the Mueller investigation in a clip that has now aired on TV more times than "The Shawshank Redemption." According to Gowdy, the House Intelligence memo has nothing to do with Robert Mueller's investigation because he's just looking into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

With all due respect to Gowdy, that's not what Mueller is investigating.

The letter from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointing Mueller expressly directs him to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump."

Since it has appeared for quite some time now that there is no collusion, the only thing left for Mueller to investigate is Trump's "obstruction of justice," i.e. Trump being pissed off that his time is being wasted.

But without evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians, no independent counsel should have been appointed in the first place. The Department of Justice already has more than 10,000 lawyers. Why pay another dozen to look into foreign interference in our elections unless the president is implicated and can't investigate himself?

The reason Rosenstein appointed Mueller was that he believed the "salacious and unverified" dossier. We know that because Rosenstein personally signed one of the FISA warrant applications based on the dossier -- backed up by a Yahoo article, which was also based on the dossier.

A cabal of anti-Trump fanatics cooked up the Russia collusion story, and don't-rock-the-boat bureaucrats went along with it, so we now have a behemoth investigative monster chasing unicorns.

Voting Felons

by Kerby Anderson, Contributing Author: Should convicted felons be allowed to vote? Senator Bernie Sanders believes they should not have that privilege taken away from them.

Critics rhetorically ask whether anyone really believes that Oklahoma bomber Terry Nichols and Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should vote in the next election. They realize the proposal for what it is: an attempt to get more votes for Democrats.

But if we set aside the blatant attempt to get more votes, the question of whether felons should ever be allowed to vote again is an important question. A good example would be Chuck Colson. After he served time in a federal prison, he was released but not allowed to vote. When he was alive, he would often remind non-voting Christians that it took 30 years to have his voting rights restored. They shouldn’t take that privilege for granted.

One of his illustrations was a young person in his early 20s who was convicted of three drug offenses. If he served his time and got his life together, why should he be denied the right to vote? Kevin Williamson, in a recent column, reminds us that someone who falls behind in court-ordered child-support payments could be charged with a felony. Sure, you should pay child support, but most Americans would not consider even a deadbeat Dad on the same moral plane as the domestic terrorists I just mentioned.

We deny felons the right to vote for the same reason we don’t let them practice law. We don’t trust them with legal or political power they have already demonstrated they do not respect. Of course, we also don’t allow them to buy guns or engage in a variety of activities.

If the candidates pushing voting rights for felons would also be talking about restoring other rights to convicted felons as well, it might be easier to take their slogans more seriously. But we should have a discussion about whether rehabilitated criminals should have voting rights restored.

The “Leading From Behind” Failure

by John C. Velisek, Contributing Author: The United States under the leadership of President Barack Hussein Obama has not been allowed to flex its will to win. Instead, we note the administration bowing to political correctness, and Islamic terrorism spreading and gaining footholds in many different areas of the world including our own country. This administration has ignored this spread, making us vulnerability to attacks here in our country.

Mr. Obama’s unwillingness to take on the Islamic State and other organizations promoting radical Islamic terrorism has lead to the expansion of radical Jihad, and allowed its recruiting to expand because they know that the United States, who should be a world leader, is “leading from behind” which means no leadership at all. Under this president, we are condoning the premise that Islamic Terrorism as a form of political expression and continue to make excuses for the deaths of innocent citizens. Terrorism has and will continue to come to our country because of the ideological shortcomings of President Obama and his Administration.

We have a leader who is more concerned about global warming that the threat to national security by radical Islam. The only way to secure our national security is to be on the attack and to overwhelm the bastions of terrorism that are spreading throughout the world. We need to remove rules of engagement that preclude strikes that may involve casualties of civilians. Islamic terrorists are hiding among the civilian population as Hamas does in its attacks on Israel. We need to let the generals on the ground to make decisions for force protection.

Border security is important. This administration must be made to understand that our borders are the first line of defense for protection of this country. Mr. Obama claims that he will do everything in his power to maintain security of this country, but he will not close the borders.

He wants the American people to believe ISIS will never come here even though it has been proven that there are Islamic training centers in this country and there over 1000 ongoing FBI investigations. They are here, this administration knows they are here, and it has done nothing to stop the influx of terrorists into this country.

Contrary to the opinion of Mr. Obama and some politicians, there is no moral obligation to take in Syrian refugees who are not vetted. Their moral obligation is to the security of this nation; something this administration has been proven to ignore. Obama has even increased the number of screening outposts in Iraq, Lebanon, and the Middle East to further the influx of refugees before the American people demand a stop to the flow of unvetted refugees, many of whom are men of fighting age to this country. And who is in charge of this vetting process that Obama speaks so highly of? They are clerks of the DHS even though they have already stated that there is no way to vet these refugees.

What can we expect from a President that has alienated our allies and treated our adversaries as equals? We have President who is willing to negotiate with the Taliban, and is floating the idea of diplomatic talks with the Islamic State. Almost everyone outside of the Obama administration understands that ISIS will not be defeated diplomatically. ISIS only desire is world domination and a new Caliphate.

This is the same President who abandoned the gains made by our country’s blood and treasure previously in Iraq. President Obama left Iraq at risk solely to make the point that he was not GW Bush. Iraq was on the path to a democratic way of life until Obama abandoned Iraq. And, now we have the Islamic State in Iraq who threatens all. Afghanistan may fall as well, most likely will occur after Obama leaves office, and the next President who is blamed.

Obama has no coherent foreign policy for the protection of this country, nor does he evidence the leadership skills required to do anything but capitulate to the goals of others. Obama’s foreign policy has appeared to be forcing America to be and to look more like Europe. Our foreign policy is adrift and is being damaged worldwide by its show of weakness. This vacuum of leadership has turned the world into a cauldron of fiery attacks with no response from this administration except excuses.

There is no follow through on policy. The “red line” for Syria’s use of chemical weapons was ignored to the point of Obama saying he never said it. This allowed Putin and other world leaders to discount the word of Obama and once again showed his weakness. The opportunities for Russia, China and Iran to change the world to meet their expectations remain unchallenged.

Rather than change his foreign policy as needed Obama spends his time touting his policies that have been proven failures, both foreign and domestic.

Obama appeared as a candidate as an articulate man and was elected our President also on a campaign promise that he could bring people together. He was even awarded a Noble Peace prize before he actually did anything but promise to do something. That campaign promise has been shattered. Race relations have turned ugly, and more and more of the people in this country are choosing to tune out of the challenges that this administration has forced upon us.

There is no substance to Obama; he is nothing more than a community organizer who gives things away for votes. Obama hasn’t proven he can’t do the hard work required of a President of the largest free nation in the world. Obama is more comfortable in dictating what the country and world at large should do. He feels that no one should dispute any of his proclamations, the proclamations of a narcissistic dictator. He is so enthralled with the progressive agendas of the UN and these agenda being forced on the people of America, it appears he would rather be the leader of the UN than of the USA.

The Islamic State is expanding throughout the world including within the United States because they understand that “political correctness” has stolen from the western world the preparedness to win a global struggle. They understand that the progressives worldwide have fallen back into an isolationist mode that attempts to use diplomacy in all circumstances, and with appeasement has lost the will to use force to protect the own citizens.

In the minds of the progressives, this battle is a legal issue, where we should attempt to hold terrorists criminally liable for their actions. They fail to understand that this is a global war, a war of submission, a conflict that will only end in the destruction of one side or the other.

We have a President who sees no conflict in bringing in more refugees. He uses the global refugee situation created by ISIS to attempt to denigrate Republicans by saying they are scared of “widows and orphans.” He doesn’t accept the data that women have been used as suicide bombers and children as young as three are using teddy bears to learn how to slice infidel’s throats.

In closing, let’s look to some of these refugees that had been vetted previous to this mass exodus of refugees we are facing now. There were the Boston Bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Ramzi Yousef was allowed through JFK Airport without documentation and he plotted the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. There was the refugee Mir Aimal Kansi who committed the CIA headquarters shooting in 1993. Nuradin Abdi was convicted of planning a shopping mall bombing after entering the United States twice. These are but a few of the terrorists that we know of and they were supposedly vetted. How many more are lying in wait? And, with the advent of sanctuary cities, the illegal alien and refugees challenges have been compounded.

Our country is under siege from both threats both outside our borders and within. With a President who evidences little love for this country and prefers for others do the heavy lifting while “leading from behind,” it will be a tumultuous year until Obama is out of the White House. Hopefully, our next President will be one who loves America and respects the Constitution and will lead the new administration in restoring our national security and pride in our country!

Florida Man Has Fender Bender In Manhattan

by Ann Coulter: A man in a Home Depot truck deliberately drove into a bike path in lower Manhattan on Tuesday, mowing down cyclists and pedestrians, crashed into a school bus, then fled the truck, brandishing fake guns and shouting "Allahu akbar!" He was shot by a policeman and taken to the hospital. At least eight people were left dead and many more injured.

Those are the facts, but facts don't matter. In cases like this, what counts is the spin. The post-Islamic-attack commentary goes more like this ...

So far, the only concrete information we have about the driver is that he was a lone attacker, he is from Florida, and he has recently been living in New Jersey.

In the bubble of your white-skinned privilege, I know you badly wanted this to be a dark-skinned person, a foreigner -- the "other" -- but you're just going to have to accept the fact that the driver was a guy from Florida. Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- just another homegrown terrorist.

Going forward, our most urgent task as a country is to figure out how to defeat Islamophobia. I plan to spend the rest of the week shaming Islamophobes on Twitter and Facebook.

For clarity, immediately after the incident, sources inside the New York Police Department debunked the "terrorism" narrative, saying that it was an incident of road rage between two truck drivers. At a press conference hours later, Police Commissioner James O'Neill refused to confirm whether the suspect had shouted "Allahu akbar" and declined to state the attacker's name or nationality.

I don't know why, since he's from Florida. But the bigotry of Islamophobia doesn't always pay attention to details.

Contrary to the toxic delusions of Faux News hosts, white men are a BIGGER domestic terrorist threat than Muslim foreigners.

Here's a recent tally:

Fort Hood massacre, Nov. 5, 2009: Nidal Malik Hasan -- VIRGINIA MAN

Boston Marathon bombing, April 15, 2013: Tamerlan Anzorovich Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Anzorovich Tsarnaev -- MASSACHUSETTS MEN

San Bernardino slaughter, Dec. 2, 2015: Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik -- ILLINOIS MAN (AND WIFE)

Pulse nightclub massacre, June 12, 2016: Omar Mir Seddique -- NEW YORK MAN

Ohio State car and knife attack, Nov. 28, 2016: Abdul Razak Ali Artan -- OHIO MAN

Charlottesville car attack, Aug. 12, 2017: James Alex Fields Jr. -- OHIO MAN

Oops, no! I mean: WHITE SUPREMACIST, ALT-RIGHT NEO-NAZI James Alex Fields Jr.

Manhattan truck attack, Oct. 31, 2017: Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- FLORIDA MAN

Although some of these assailants were born elsewhere, "extreme vetting" is not only racist, but most important, it doesn't work. An intelligence assessment by the Department of Homeland Security in March of this year found that most foreign-born U.S. terrorists become "radicalized" only after living in America for a number of years. Traditional masculinity, whiteness and heteronormativity are the root causes of terrorism.

Chillingly, Tuesday's attack was predicted by an ad released just a day earlier against Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie. The ad, produced by the Latino Victory Fund, shows a white man in a pickup truck with a Confederate flag and a Gillespie campaign sticker chasing down innocent Hispanic and Muslim children.

We don't yet know if all the victims of Tuesday's attack were Mexican children.

The truth is, we are, as Phil Donahue used to say, a deeply racist society. If the perpetrator -- again, Florida man Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov -- was a person of color, this just proves it. Sayfullo was probably so ground down by Islamophobia that he felt the only option left to him was the event in lower Manhattan. This incident encapsulates the breadth of the battle against racism we have to fight every day in this country.

Perhaps Sayfullo could be faulted for blocking the bikers' lane, but the rest was the natural reaction to a society where, night after night, Fox News hosts indoctrinate viewers in irrational hatred toward "Islamic extremism."

Since announcing his candidacy, Donald Trump has done very little to make Muslims feel their space is safe. Immediately after the election, the Southern Poverty Law Center documented 140,849 reports of hijabs being ripped off marginalized Muslim women on college campuses across the nation.

Ironically, Trump wants to end the very "diversity lottery" that allowed Sayfullo to come to this country in the first place! The LAST thing we want to do is alienate members of this community. We need more members of the community to come here, so they can warn us about other members of their community.

New York's bad-ass governor, Andrew Cuomo, said it best: NEW YORKERS WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED. Ordinary people who don't have security guards will have to learn to live with the occasional "terrorist attack." True patriotism is having faith in this country's ability to respond creatively, with extra airport screening, bollards, closed circuit cameras, check points, heavy policing and fewer public events.

If we truly, as a country, are committed to the American ideal of justice and equality for all, we can't wait until a crisis happens to build bridges, educate, counteract false narratives and foster peace.

I want to believe that a massive re-education program about white privilege would work. But at this point, we might have sunk too deep into our own Eurocentric entitlement for white people to begin to unpack their privilege.

What I would really like to have, but despair of ever having, is an honest conversation about race, requiring white Americans to sit down and patiently listen to hours and hours of angry denunciations of their privilege.

Perhaps the Latino Victory Fund could lead it.

But unfortunately, we are a nation of cowards. I know it takes balls to say that, but, like Gov. Cuomo, I am all balls.

Post 9/11: How Safe Are We?

Alan Caruba, Contributing Author: Two recent polls suggest that Americans are still well aware of the threats to the nation’s security. A Fox News poll found that four out of ten Americans think that the nation is less safe today than before 9/11. Overall, however, 51% thought it was safer. A Rasmussen poll found that respondents thought that an attack on the scale of 9/11 was entirely possible. At least 69% felt that way.

Twelve years past 9/11, it’s a good time to ask or at least conjecture about how safe we are from another attack by Islamic extremists.

On May 1, 2010, Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistan-born U.S. citizen attempted to pull off a terrorist car bombing in New York’s Times Square. Two street venders spotted smoke coming from the vehicle and alerted police. The bomb had been ignited but had failed to explode and was disarmed.

On August 28, 2013, Nidal Malik Hasan, formerly a psychiatrist with the United States Army Medical Corps, was sentenced to death at the conclusion of his court-martial. Four years earlier on November 5, 2009 he had fatally shot 13 soldiers and injured more than thirty other at Fort Hood. Hasan’s behavior and comments had given so many signals that, in retrospect, it raises the question of why he was not booted out of the Army for the risk he posed. The Obama administration called it “workplace violence”, not an act of terrorism.

On April 15, 2014, in Boston, we learned that not only could terrorists strike at will, but could do so even though Russian intelligence authorities had warned U.S. law enforcement that the Dzhokhar and Tamerian Tsarnaev were a threat. The FBI concluded they could not tap their phones or conduct a more thorough investigation.

These three post-9/11 examples of the threat that fanatical Islam represents are mercifully few. We are told that our intelligence and law enforcement services have been able to thwart other threats. When asked recently how much a part luck played in thwarting terrorist attacks in New York, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said that luck is always a welcome factor. Diligent police work, however, remains the reason the city has not suffered a major attack since 9/11. Its anti-terrorism budget is $200 million.

Eleven days after September 11, 2001, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge was appointed the first Director of the Office of Homeland Security in the White House. With the passage of the Homeland Security Act in November 2002, DHS became a Cabinet-level department, combining twenty-two departments and agencies with a mandate to improve the security of the United States.

The Department's work includes customs, border, and immigration enforcement; as well as emergency response to natural and manmade disasters; antiterrorism work; and cybersecurity. Since the creation of the DHS, Congress has passed other legislation to improve security at our ports and has transferred the Radiological Preparedness Program and Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program to FEMA, the federal emergency response agency.

Anyone who has ever been to an airport knows the rigors of getting on one’s flight now years passed the failed December 22, 2001 attempt by Richard Reid, a Muslim convert, to blow up an American Airlines flight wearing shoes filled with explosives. Eight years later, a Nigerian Muslim gained fame as the “underwear bomber” when he tried to detonate a bomb on December 25, 2009 to bring down another airliner.

We should remain mindful that, while deterring what could have been many more terrorist threats, we really don’t know if it is because fewer have been planned, whether terror cells exist in the nation, or whether the Islamists are taking a far longer view of their war than we are. How likely is it that they have concluded that, having driven the U.S. military presence from Iraq and soon from Afghanistan, they would prefer to impose their grip on the Middle East and then expand their jihad from there?

Clearly the government has gone overboard in its effort to surveil all communications, presumably to detect a potential attack. It is a price that most Americans seem prepared to make. In the wrong hands, however, this could mark the end of privacy in America and a tyranny as bad as our enemies would impose.

There is a further problem that is rarely noted and this is the way the Obama administration has fostered a view regarding terrorism that has infected all elements of the military and law enforcement agencies. It is why the FBI failed to more aggressively follow up on the warnings regarding Boston’s Tsarnaev brothers and why it removed content from its training manuals that might be offensive to Muslims.

The Obama administration has rendered the government culturally blind to the obvious threat that radical Islam represents.

Are we safer from terrorist attacks such as 9/11? One would think so. Are there a lot of Department of Homeland Security personnel and those in our National Security Agency, our Central Intelligence Agency, and in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, intent on protecting us? Yes, there are, but the degree to which they are permitted to do so is unknown. The larger a bureaucracy gets, the more risk-averse it becomes.

It is reasonable to conclude that the nation is “safer”, but that does not preclude the potential for future attacks from individual jihadists or a far larger one from al Qaeda. It waited from its first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 until 2001 to finish the job.

Creating Inaugural Chaos, Jihadist Families, Trump Meets MLK III

Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author:   Creating Inaugural Chaos -  James O'Keefe and Project Veritas infiltrated a group of far-left anarchists who are plotting to create chaos during Friday's inauguration of Donald Trump. The group plans to do everything it can to shut down the Deploraball, a grassroots pro-Trump event being held at the National Press Club.

Radical activists want to plant butyric acid or stink bombs in the building's ventilation system. On the video, one radical said, "If you had a pint of butyric acid, I don't care how big the building is, it is closing." Another replies: "And this stuff is very efficient, it's very, very smelly, and it lasts a long time."

If the butyric acid fails, Plan B is to set off the building's sprinkler system.

There was also a threat directed at local officials and law enforcement. One demonstrator can be heard in the video saying:

"The message has to be, we do not recognize the city government either. If you try to close us down we will look for your house, we will burn it. We will physically fight the police if they try to steal one of our places. We will go to war and you will lose."Meanwhile, a growing number of left-wing extremists are taking an entirely different approach -- they are staying away from the inauguration. So far, more than 40 congressional Democrats have stated their plans to boycott Trump's inaugural ceremony.

They represent the hard-core, activist left of the party. Not surprisingly, about half of the group comes from California, Massachusetts and New York. And more than a dozen also boycotted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech before a joint session of Congress.

Among the boycotters are Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), a leading candidate for chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and Rep. John Lewis (D-GA). As I noted yesterday, Lewis made headlines over the weekend for questioning the legitimacy of Trump's election.

Sunday Lewis told NBC's Chuck Todd, "I don't plan to attend the inauguration. It will be the first one that I miss since I've been in the Congress. You cannot be at home with something that you feel that is wrong, is not right."

It turns out that Trump's inauguration isn't the first one he will have missed. Lewis boycotted George W. Bush's inauguration in 2001 because he questioned the legitimacy of Bush's presidency as well.

Jihadist Families -  There was breaking news yesterday that Noor Salman, wife of Orlando shooter Omar Mateen, was arrested in San Francisco. She is charged with obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting ISIS. Mateen, as you know, killed 49 people in an Orlando nightclub last summer.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina said, "There's no doubt in my mind . . . that she knew, that she aided and that she could have prevented this tragedy."

After virtually every terrorist attack, officials have rushed to tell us that these events were carried out by "lone wolves." But that isn't always the case. Jihadist families have carried out many of these atrocities.

In San Bernardino, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, a husband and wife hit team, gunned down 14 people. Other Farook family members were later arrested on conspiracy charges. And the Boston Marathon bombing was carried out by the Tsarnaev brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar.

By the way, six of the 9/11 hijackers were brothers. Two of the five terrorists who attacked Brussels last year were brothers. And two brothers, Cherif and Said Kouachi, led the 2015 attack on Charlie Hebdo. In fact, one study reportedly found that as many as 30% of terrorist attacks are carried out with the help of family members, driven by their close relationships and their shared vision of what Islam requires of them.

This is why Donald Trump has repeatedly said that we need more cooperation from the Muslim community and concerned neighbors in order to stop these attacks from happening.

Trump Meets MLK III - Yesterday, as the nation honored the legacy of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., President-elect Trump met with the oldest son of the slain civil rights leader, Martin Luther King III. King briefly spoke to reporters afterwards and was repeatedly baited and begged by the so-called "journalists" to attack Donald Trump.

King resisted. He reiterated that he had a "very constructive meeting" and that he looked forward to working with the new Trump/Pence Administration to make America a greater nation.

While the left and its media allies are doing their best to portray Trump as a racist, a number of black leaders have heard Donald Trump talk about revitalizing our inner cities and they have reached out to him.

For example, comedian Steve Harvey met with Donald Trump last week. After their meeting, Harvey tweeted, "I walked away feeling like I had just talked with a man who genuinely wants to make a difference."

Unfortunately, Harvey is not feeling any love from the left. He has received an avalanche of hate, the same kind conservatives face every day. On his radio show yesterday, Harvey said, "On a personal note, a lot of ya'll hurt me. You really did. I didn't expect the backlash to be so fierce."

In Case You Missed It -
  • A big feminist march is taking place the day after the inauguration on Saturday, January 21st. March organizers just kicked out one of the co-sponsoring groups. Were they kicked out because they were too radical? Did they threaten violence? No, the group was banished because it is pro-life.
  • Bikers for Trump is bringing thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts to Washington, D.C., for the inaugural festivities. They are promising to form a "wall of meat" to protect those trying to enjoy the day's events from the left-wing fanatics who will be here trying to create chaos. By the way, ads are reportedly running in nearly two dozen cities offering $2,500 to individuals willing to protest during the inauguration.
  • A disturbing new Pew poll underscores the damage Barack Obama has done to Israel. After eight years of anti-Israel hostility emanating from the White House, Democrats are almost evenly divided in their sympathies between our ally Israel and the Palestinians.
According to Pew, 33% of Democrats say they sympathize more with Israel, while 31% say they sympathize more with the Palestinians. Among liberal Democrats, it's even worse: 38% sympathize more with the Palestinians and just 26% sympathize more with Israel. Republicans, meanwhile, overwhelmingly stand with Israel -- 74% to 11%.

Sadly, the pro-Israel Democrat Party of Harry Truman and former Senator Joseph Lieberman is disappearing before our eyes.

Democrats Demand DOJ ‘Release As Many Prisoners As Possible’ Over Coronavirus

by Ryan Saavedra: House Democrats on the Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr on Monday demanding that he try to “release as many prisoners as possible” due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus across the U.S.

Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and subcommittee chairwoman Karen Bass (D-CA) did not stop there with their demands as they told Barr to consider releasing prisoners regardless of the severity of the crimes for which they were convicted and regardless of the type of facility they were housed in.

“We call on you, in the most urgent of terms, to do the right thing and exercise [authority to modify sentences of prisoners who present ‘extraordinary and compelling reasons’] and immediately move to release medically-compromised, elderly, and pregnant prisoners in the custody of the [Bureau of Prisons],” the Democrats wrote. “In addition, we urge that you use every tool at your disposal to release as many prisoners as possible, to protect them from COVID-19.”

The two Democrats then stated that they had a problem with Barr’s memo that said that inmates at low and minimum security facilities should be prioritized and those who were convicted of serious offenses should not be released. The two Democrats stated [emphasis added]:Your memorandum specifies that priority should be given to inmates in low- and minimum-security facilities and that “serious” offenses should weigh more heavily against consideration for home detention. These limitations, unfortunately, beg the question of what you do with individuals who are at a high risk for contracting COVID-19 who are not in low- or minimum-security facilities, who have been convicted of serious offenses, or who have high PATTERN risk scores. We urge you to consider that even individuals in these categories should be assessed for release because they may be elderly or particularly vulnerable. Pregnant prisoners, in all circumstances, should be released to home confinement forthwith. We further urge you to assess the risk of contracting COVID-19 of every individual in BOP custody, regardless of the type of institution in which they are housed, the seriousness of their offense, or the potential recidivism risk they may present. If BOP decides to keep these individuals detained, what specific provisions are being made for those among them who are at high risk for contracting COVID-19? What plans are being made to communicate information to these individuals, their attorneys, and their loved ones, about the plan for their care behind bars during the COVID-19 pandemic?Nadler and Bass’s statement that Barr should consider releasing prisoners who are at high risk for contracting COVID-19 “regardless of the type of institution in which they are housed” and regardless of “the seriousness of their offense” suggests that they want Barr to evaluate even the most dangerous criminals for potential early release, even those housed at the United States Penitentiary, Administrative Maximum Facility (USP Florence ADMAX), unofficially known as ADX Florence.

ADX Florence is the country’s only federal supermax prison and houses the most dangerous criminals in the world who are often either sentenced to death or to multiple life sentences. 5280 Magazine highlighted some of the most dangerous criminals in ADX Florence:
  • Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, the leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel, was relocated here after being sentenced to life plus 30 years on international drug trafficking charges earlier in the month.
  • Ted John Kaczynski: Domestic terrorist, aka the “Unabomber,” serving eight life sentences.
  • Terry L. Nichols: Oklahoma City bomber/domestic terrorist, serving 161 consecutive life sentences.
  • Ramzi Yousef & Mohammed Salameh: Two of the 1993 World Trade Center bombers; serving life sentences.
  • Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev: Terrorist, aka the Boston bomber, sentenced to death.
  • Mamdouh Mahmud Salim: Al-Qaida cofounder, serving a life sentence.
