One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics
is that you end up being governed by your inferiors. -- Plato
(429-347 BC)
“So, no, I think that if there are allegations based on questions or comments that I made in debate prep about Nafta, and about the continent versus the country when we talk about Africa there, then those were taken out of context,” Ms. Palin said. “And that’s cruel and it’s mean-spirited, it’s immature, it’s unprofessional, and those guys are jerks, if they came away with it taking things out of context and then tried to spread something on national news. It is not fair and not right.”
And it’s yet another sign of the McCain campaign’s incompetence. Part of Palin’s appeal to people like me is that she tells it like it is, unlike the current convoluted language in the media and the upcoming administration. C. Edmund Wright has an article on how Our Language is the Loser (h/t Larwyn). My favorite:
Earned Income Tax Credit: Now this is not a new term, but it certainly has been propelled back to prominence with Barack Obama’s unscripted chat with an Ohio plumber related to spreading the wealth. The problem with this term is that it has nothing to do with earning, income, paid taxes or credit. Ok, I know the real term is an accounting phrase related to two ideas: Earned Income - Tax credit. It is simply a fancy name for taking one person’s earned income and giving what should be his or her tax credit to someone else in the form of a welfare check. But it sounds much nicer to the recipient than a “welfare check.” This is related to the new definition of “compassion.”
Doug Ross illustrates one of the many reasons why the media is so in the bag with the Dems:
Put simply, there appears to be only a turnstile between a Democratic administration and a cushy media job.
That the media is so pliant and helpful signals to what Victor Davis Hanson calls the era of Post-journalism. Hanson points out
In the 3rd book of his history, Thucydides has some insightful thoughts about destroying institutions in times of zealotry—and then regretting their absence when there is a need for refuge for them. The mainstream press should have learned that lesson, once they blew up their credibility in the past election by morphing into the Team Obama press agency
UPDATE: The Other McCain has the “jerks” video. Notice how Palin made a much more important point, about which the media is silent:
Of course we’re in the middle of putting our budget together, and looking at the price of oil today being so low, that is a good time for fiscal conservativism to be kicked in full-fledged and remind Alaskans we can not be spending at the rate that the state has been spending.
Of course that kind of remark doesn’t make good copy for Tina Fey ...Tags:ABC News, Alaska, Governor, Politics, reporter, Sarah PalinTo share or post to your site, click on "Post Link". Please mention / link to the ARRA News Service. Thanks!
Paul Jacob. Common Sense: What is the “Fairness Doctrine”? And would it be fair to bring it back? The Fairness Doctrine is a kind of assault on broadcast speech that has not been enforced since the 1980s. It compelled broadcasters to give so-called “equal time” to the so-called “opposing viewpoint” . . . as if there were only one. We may have a two-party system in this country, but we don’t have a two-opinion system.
Of course, the Doctrine is nothing but a club for clobbering freedom of speech, not expanding it. At National Review Online, Barbara Comstock and Lanny Davis note that all manner of absurdity erupts when equal time to somebody else’s podium is guaranteed by law. In 1978, NBC aired a program about the Holocaust, then spent three years in court dealing with a lawsuit brought by a group which believed the Holocaust is a myth and wanted NBC to give it “equal time.” Only “fair,” right?
Today, many believe that the Fairness Doctrine would be used against conservative talk radio, which happens to be a lot more popular than liberal talk radio, and that this is why some on the political left are talking about restoring the rule. But nobody who talks in public for a living, or even as just a hobby, would be safe from harassment if this monstrosity comes back to life. Comstock and Davis say Congress should bury the Fairness Doctrine for good. Yes, with a stake through its evil heart. This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob. Cindy and I would like to take a moment to thank you for your loyal and steadfast support during the course of this campaign. Governor Palin, her husband Todd, our families, friends and campaign staff extend our deep appreciation for your tireless dedication, support and friendship.
It is the end of a long journey and your support through the ups and downs has meant more to us than you may ever know. Although we were disappointed with the results, we must move beyond this campaign and work together to get our country moving again.
It is our sincere hope that you will join us in putting our country first and continue to work to keep our nation safe, free and prosperous. We urge you to join us in not just congratulating Senator Obama, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together as a nation. Whatever our differences may be, we are all fellow Americans.
We are truly blessed to live in this great country and call ourselves Americans, and we will forever be her loyal servants. Today, let there be no reason now for any American to fail to cherish their citizenship in this, the greatest nation on Earth.
President-elect Obama has appointing his new chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, American begins to ask questions as to who will have running the. White House. Barbara Sowel, Digital Journal reports:
Government reports reviewed by ABC News, Barack Obama’s newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, was a board director at Freddie Mac during the mortgage scandal and the board failed to spot “red flags.” More than a few economists believe that actions by Freddie Mac began the country’s “economic meltdown.” This year the federal government took over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae “pledging at least $200 billion in public funds.” The Justice Department is currently investigating the accounting procedures of Freddie Mac . ABC reviewed a complaint filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission stating that Freddie Mac “misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002.” Emanuel was appointed to the Freddie Mac board by President Bill Clinton in 2000. Although Emanuel was not specifically named in the SEC complaint, the entire board was accused by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention."
Emanuel was a senior adviser to President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1998, and was involved in developing the strategy behind many of the administration’s initiatives, including the ill-fated effort to push universal health care. Upon leaving the White House Emanuel went to the private sector and worked for investment banking firm Dresdner Kleinwort in Chicago. Served on the Board of Directorsof the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, or “Freddie Mac,” from 2000 until 2004. In 2002, ran for Congress and won. Ooly member of the Illinois House delegation to support the 2002 joint Congressional resolution authorizing the war in Iraq. Emanuel’s views are generally center-right.
By selecting Emanuel, President-elect Obama may be sending a message to the Jewish community. Emanuel was born in Israel and was a former member of a militant Zionist organization. He had Israeli citizenship due to his father’s dual citizen status but he relinquished it when he turned 18. A strong supporter of Israel, Emanuel served as a civilian volunteer in the Israel Defense Forces during the 1991 Persian Gulf War. He is a strong supporter of the pro-IsraelAmerican Israel Public Affairs Committee(AIPAC) and helped introduce President-elect Obama to the 0rganization’s leadership during the campaign.

Obama's Proposed Chief of Staff Favors Compulsory Universal Service
by J.D. Tuccille: Rep. Rahm Emanuel wants to force people 18 to 25 to labor for the government.Rep. Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, President-Elect Barack Obama's choice for chief of staff in his incoming administration, is co-author of a book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America, that calls for, among other things, compulsory service for all Americans ages 18 to 25. The following excerpt is from pages 61-62 of the 2006 book:
It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service. ...
Here's how it would work. Young people will know that between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service. They'll be asked to report for three months of basic civil defense training in their state or community, where they will learn what to do in the event of biochemical, nuclear or conventional attack; how to assist others in an evacuation; how to respond when a levee breaks or we're hit by a natural disaster. These young people will be available to address their communities' most pressing needs.
Emanuel and co-author Bruce Reed insist "this is not a draft," but go on to write of young men and women, "the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service." They also warn, "[s]ome Republicans will squeal about individual freedom," ruling out any likelihood that they would let people opt out of universal citizen service. As chief of staff, Emanuel will not be in a position to directly introduce public policy, but his enthusiasm for compulsory service, combined with Barack Obama's own plan to require high school students to perform 50 hours of government-approved service, suggest an unfortunate direction for the new administration. Gary Bauer, Campaign for Working Families: I’m sure many of you are depressed and dispirited. I understand. I am down too. But I urge you not to spend your time wallowing in defeat. Some may choose to waste their energy pointing fingers and forming circular firing squads. That’s not what Ronald Reagan did in 1976, and petty vindictiveness does not build up effective coalitions or win elections. We live in a free country. There will be other elections. In the meantime, there will be major battles over life, marriage, war and peace, taxes, judges and a host of things we can’t even anticipate right now.
After 2000 and 2004, the radical Left did not fold up and go away quietly. It immediately redoubled its efforts to defeat us. Leftwing groups organized, raised money, registered voters and, finally, yesterday they succeeded. Will we be as tough and committed as they were? Or will we slink away demoralized and defeated? I have already made my decision. I intend to fight! I intend to do everything I can to save innocent unborn children and preserve normal marriage. I will defend our country from the Islamofascists and resist the Big Government socialists who want to turn us into Europe. I will defend free enterprise and the entrepreneurs who grow our economy and create jobs. I am counting on not being alone. Can I count on you? Tony Perkins, FRC: Senator Obama is now President-elect Obama. After a decisive victory he will assume office with a mandate. His mandate has meaning, especially on the economy and new efforts at international cooperation. But it is clear from the results of the ballot initiatives that he has no mandate to advance a radical social agenda that would destroy human life and overturn man-woman marriage. His stated positions on life and marriage are not where the American people stand on these issues. We congratulate him, but FRC will be reminding him, today and every day, that values aren't just among the issues; they are the core issues. Dr. Patrick Briney, ARRA President: Some lessons are never learned. Republican party leadership told us that the 2008 election would be run from the grassroots rather than from the top down. They told us that we need to swing to the center and run moderates on the ticket. They told us that the conservatism of Ronald Reagan was the past and that McCain symbolized what people want now. They were wrong, again. Their leadership led to a weak and lackluster campaign season.
When will the Republican leadership learn that conservatives are the heart and soul of the party? It is this conservatism that fires up the party base and mobilizes its members. When McCain announced that Sarah Palin would be his running mate, the party was reinvigorated. At least, more so than before the Palin announcement. Many conservatives who were thinking about voting third party were wooed back into the party. What was it about Palin that fired up the Republican party? Her conservatism.
Ronald Reagan’s success is credited to his conservatism. Specifically, his social conservatism, his economic conservatism, and his political conservatism. These three conservative wings need the other two to win. When economic conservatives dismiss social conservatives or the political conservatives or vice versa, there is disarray in a divided party. Together, Republicans stand, or together, they fall. The Republican party needs leadership that understands the necessity of building a coalition with all three wings of conservatism. Doing so will bring vital energy and zeal back to the party. Thank You, Mrs. Palin, from the Bottom Of Our Hearts
Carter Clews, Executive Editor of ALG News Bureau: It had to be a decade ago, maybe even longer, that I chanced upon a dog-eared copy of Audrey Meadows autobiography, Love Alice, in a dusty book store on the quaint Main Street of a little town called Westminster, Maryland. Thumbing open the cover, I came upon a preface that made me fall in love with “Alice” all over again. She cautioned those “who bought this book seeking scandalous thrills or lurid confessions,“ to save their time and money,” adding, “If you think I’m too admiring of Jackie [Gleason] with not enough negative cracks, well, this is a love letter, not a report card.“ . . .
So, why am I sharing these thoughts with you on Tuesday, Nov. 4 - Election Day, 2008, when so much is at stake, and such trivial reminisces seem far removed from the weighty issues at hand? Because I want to give you the same word of warning that “Alice” gave me: This is a love letter (not a report card) for Sarah Louise Heath Palin.
So, if you’re looking for a cross word or even the slightest criticism, you have my leave to move on now. Like most Americans, I had barely heard of Sarah Palin until Aug. 29, 2008, when John McCain selected her as his running mate. Oh, I knew she was Governor of Alaska. And that she was stunningly beautiful. I think I knew she had five children, but certainly not that the youngest had Down’s Syndrome. And I most assuredly did not know that she was one of the most dynamic and articulate conservative advocates in America today.
I guess what I’m saying is that I learned about Sarah Palin at just about the same time the mainstream media did. The difference was: I loved her for what I learned. And they hated her to the core for all that she is, has been, or now strives to become.
I’m not ashamed to admit that in the past three months, my esteem for this selfless, gracious, and courageous woman has grown with every passing day. She has withstood the slings and arrows of the outraged fortunate, and has never lost her poise. She has been flung into the jaws of the hellions and harpies, and has emerged with her core values still intact, her smile still as winning and winsome as the day she first took center stage. And surely, it could not have been easy.
If there is any fairness in the annals of time, then surely some just scribe on a distant day will record that Sarah Palin was the most ruthlessly abused vice presidential candidate in American history. She was attacked for the way she walked. She was attacked for the way she talked. She was attacked for what she said, and for what she didn’t say, as well. She was attacked for her choice of a wardrobe, and then attacked for letting someone else choose it for her. She was attacked for neglecting her children, and then attacked anew for taking them with her on the adventure of a lifetime.
She was bullied by the duplicitous Charlie Gibson, who falsified her statements and then called her a liar for standing true. She was entrapped by the saccharinely Katie Couric, who lured her in for a little friendly “girl talk,” then edited her comments to make her seem uninformed and ill-bred. She was cruelly mimicked by a second-rate Saturday Night Live comedian, and then spurned by the mimic when she was gracious enough to share a stage.
Yet, through it all, as those who found fault but never favor continued their brutal assault, something occurred on the American scene that is as rare as Carlyle’s “well-spent life,” yet as real as the rising sun. Sarah Palin captured the hearts of the American people, not by backing down, but by shining through. Time and again, as the critics pilloried her every move and predicted her imminent fall, Sarah Palin “filled the unforgiving moment with sixty seconds worth of distance run.”
Within 72 hours of her being named John McCain’s choice for vice president, she was thrust onto the proscenium to give her acceptance speech in front of a live audience numbering in the thousands and a viewing audience in the tens of millions. Her detractors salivated at the thought of her stumbling or mumbling, of falling flat or failing the test. But, Sarah Palin didn’t fall flat; she filled the moment as few before her had ever done. She “knocked it out of the park,” as the pundits were forced to admit. And the truth is, they hated her for it.
Then came her debate with a 30-year Washington fixture, who prides himself on his forensic skills and oozes unction like a snail trails slime. The mainstream media exuded all of the grizzly glee of Madame Lafarge at chopping block. Joey Plugs was going to show this bumpkin up once and for all – and she may even have to be dropped from the ticket. But, Joey Plugs didn’t show her up. With a wink and nudge she parried Joe’s every thrust. And you knew she had carried the day when the media elite termed it a “draw.” Yes, it was a draw – as in the moosekiller from the frozen tundra drawing and quartering Joey Plugs.
Then came Saturday Night Live, when Sarah Palin’s now obsessive critics predicted she would be made a fool of by some second-tier TV cue card reader named Tina Fey. Fortunate enough to look somewhat remotely like Mrs. Palin, Ms. Fey tried to parlay that gift into a last-ditch effort to salvage a sinking career. And when Sarah Palin agreed to appear on the same stage with Tina, the critics licked their chops in anticipation of a defrenestration. But, alas, her detractors should have studied up on their Edwin Markham: “They drew a circle that shut me out/Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout/But love and I had the wit to win/We drew a circle that took them in.” As Tina glowered, Sarah glowed. So sterling was Sarah Palin’s performance that SNL producer Lorne Michael was moved to say, “I watched the way she connected with people, and she's powerful. Her politics aren't my politics. But you can see that she's a very powerful, very disciplined, incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she's had a huge impact. People connect to her." “People connect to her.”
And do you know why? Because Sarah Palin connects to people. Good, decent Americans of all races, creeds, and colors see in Sarah Palin something we all long to know is buried, perhaps deeply, within our souls. Lincoln called it “the better angels of our nature.” And through three, long, grueling – often unspeakably cruel – months Sarah Palin’s “better angels” made tens of millions of grateful Americans know in our hearts that we could all be better people.
At the end of the preface to her book, Audrey Meadows thanks Jackie Gleason for inspiring in those who shared his moment upon the stage all that any of us could ever ask: "He made us all run faster, reach higher, go further than we ever dreamed we could.” For “one, brief, shining moment,” so did Sarah Palin. And that’s why this is a love letter that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Mrs. Palin, from the bottom of our hearts.

As we vote, let's be reminded of these words:
* You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
* You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.
* You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
* You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.
* You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.
* You cannot build character and courage, by taking away people's initiative and independence.
* You cannot help people permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves. Abraham Lincoln
Very, very wise words, written years ago and we still don't get it. The problem of people not getting it may well be because our schools no longer teach the words of wisdom of our former great leaders! Instead the speak the words of the present revolutionaries. ATTN: Coal states: Virginia , Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Indiana. Also All states: He is coming for you next!
Fred Jackson, OneNewsNow.com reports: The nation's coal industry is in shock today with word that Barack Obama plans to put such severe penalties on coal-fired power plants that it will bankrupt them. A coalition of business leaders says such a move would jeopardize the jobs of hundreds of thousands of people who work in the coal industry.
Barack Obama said, "What I've said is that we would put a cap-and-trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there. I was the first to call for a hundred-percent auction on the cap-and-trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases that was emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted-down caps that are imposed every year. So if somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greeenhouse gas that's being emitted." by Andy Mayberry: Barack Obama, Democratic nominee for president and one of the most outspoken advocates of baby killing in American history, got another big endorsement in recent days. This time, it was a military endorsement – sort of – and I’m not talking about Gen. Colin Powell. According to an article written by Ryan Mauro, an al-Qaida leader called this week for “Allah to ‘humiliate’ President Bush and the Republican Party in Tuesday’s election” and this “was not the first tacit endorsement of Democrat Barack Obama by the terrorist network.” A contributor to a major al-Qaida website last week said the terrorist group will “let the Democrats win the presidential elections, and Obama will take it.”
Obama’s running mate Joe Biden says he’s certain that if Obama is elected president, there will be an international crisis to test his strength within the first six months of his presidency. This is the same Joe Biden, along with Hillary Clinton, who called Obama’s approach to foreign policy “naïve” back during the Democratic primaries.
“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking . . . Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy … As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen.”
Well, that’s certainly something to look forward to. And it must be true. After all, the Democrats keep telling us what a whiz Joe Biden is on foreign policy. He must know.
In April, Obama received the endorsement of the militant Palestinian group Hamas. Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said on WABC Radio in New York, “We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections.” Well then, Mr. Yousuf should be sure to vote. I’m certain ACORN would be happy to assist with his voter registration.
Obama has said that Hezbollah, the political and military group founded in 1982 to fight Israel in southern Lebanon, has “legitimate claims.” In kind, Ali Larijani, the Hezbollah- and Hamas-supporting speaker of Iran’s parliament, voiced Iran’s preference for a “more flexible and rational” Obama over John McCain, according to an article in The Washington Times. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the Holocaust as “a myth” and called for Israel to be “wiped off the map.” Obama has said he will meet with Ahmadinejad and leaders of other rogue nations “without precondition” during the first year of his presidency. Again, Biden and Clinton said earlier this year that Obama demonstrates a naïve approach.
Reuters reports that in an opinion piece written by Fidel Castro, that Castro called Obama “from the social and human point, the most advanced candidate.” Can you say, “redistribute the wealth”? Obama can, and did … to Joe the Plumber and a national network TV audience. Apparently, Castro must like the Obama plan. And what better endorsement? After all, you know how nice the folks have it in Cuba. People are living in luxury all over the place with civil rights just running out their ears. Right? Castro went on to have some criticism for Obama, but remarked “[w]ere I to defend him, I would do his adversaries an enormous favor.” It seems that even Castro realizes that with friends like himself, one doesn’t need enemies … not in an election year, anyway.
In December 2007, Obama’s pastor of 20 years – whom he once called a “mentor” – Rev. Jeremiah Wright presented Louis Farrakhan with the “Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeter” award. There’s a prize for the mantle. According to Wright:
“When Minister Farrakhan speaks, black America listens.” That would be the same Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan referred to in an article in The Washington Times: “America's own anti-white, anti-Jewish Louis Farrakhan … heralded an Obama presidency as the coming age of the ‘the Messiah.’” And that would be the same Rev. Wright who describes himself as a black liberationist who is committed to Africa and an Afro-centrist Christianity. Wright has equated Zionism with racism; has compared Israel to South Africa under apartheid; and characterized the terrorist attacks on American soil on 9/11 as the result of violent American policies overseas. You probably recall what Rev. Wright said he wanted God to do to America. And it wasn’t to bless it. Did I mention he was Obama’s pastor for 20 years, and Obama once described him as a “mentor”?
That would also be the same Rev. Wright who traveled with Minister Farrakhan to Tripoli in 1984 to visit with terrorist Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi. Now, unlike Hamas, Qaddafi is slow to endorse Obama. He certainly has his doubts. In fact, here’s what he said about Obama’s recent vocal support of Israel during a June 11 interview that aired on Al-Jazeera TV:
“… we were taken by surprise when our African Kenyan brother (whom Qaddafi refers to as Muslim, despite Obama’s claim of Christianity), who is an American national, made statements that shocked all his supporters in the Arab world, in Africa, and in the Islamic world. We hope that this is merely an elections ‘clearance sale,’ as they say in Egypt – in other words, merely an elections lie. As you know, this is the farce of elections – a person lies and lies to people, just so that they will vote for him, and afterwards, when they say to him: ‘You promised this and that,’ he says: ‘No, this was just elections propaganda.’ This is the farce of democracy for you. He says: ‘This was propaganda, and you thought I was being serious. I was fooling you to get your votes.’ Allah willing, it will turn out that this was merely elections
propaganda.”
No, say it ain’t so, Muammar.
I haven’t seen if William Ayers has publicly endorsed Obama’s presidential run yet. But it stands to reason he might, since Ayers hosted a small gathering of about a dozen people at his home at which then-state Senator Alice J. Palmer introduced Obama to the group as her chosen successor for the 1996 Democratic primary. Don’t forget that Ayers was co-founder of the Weather Underground, the leftist radical group responsible for multiple bombings of banks and U.S. government buildings including the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon. But that was when Obama was just 8 years old, he says. Of course, Obama was 30 when Ayers said in an interview that he wished he had done more. And four years later, he helped Barack “Don’t-Call-Me-Barry” Obama kick off his political career in his home. (“Barry” was what he was called until his sophomore year of college when he decided to go with his more formal name, Barack Hussein Obama. Oops. Did I say Hussein? He promoted that at the beginning of the campaign, but I understand it’s politically incorrect to utter his middle name now. Sorry, Barry … um, I mean Barack.) But I digress.
There’s plenty more that could be written, but I’m tired of writing now. And you’re probably tired of reading. I just wanted to make sure you remembered all of Obama’s mighty endorsements (perhaps received because of his 140+ days experience in the U.S. Senate) before you vote for either the ObamaNation or some guy named John McCain. I hear this McCain fellow has 22 years in the Senate. Not sure if his military endorsements will match those of Obama, but I guess it is worth mentioning that he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958, becoming a naval aviator, and that during the Vietnam War, he nearly lost his life in the1967 USS Forrestal fire. And, oh yeah, according to Wikipedia,
“ in October 1967, while on a bombing mission over Hanoi, he was shot down, badly injured, and captured by the North Vietnamese. He was a prisoner of war until 1973, experiencing episodes of torture and refusing an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer; his war wounds left him with lifelong physical limitations.”
His son is currently serving in Iraq. And he doesn’t believe in killing babies.
